I just want to say that I'm extremely impressed that you had caught so many Pokemon with the Pokewalker. It's a shame that you had lost the legendary beasts and Celebi since you can't trade them back.

Huh, I still have my soul silver box someplace in my house. Not got that many dints in it either. I've pretty much been playing White most of the time, but, I've somewhat started to play SS some more.
Also, I saw no use for the Pokewalker. I think I only transferred a Pigey onto mine for laughs..

Heck, if you have Soul Silver, you should check out Smogon's Explanation for every pokemon in Gen IV (...Or at least the ones in the tiers marked UU and NU ) so you can learn the art of competitive battling. Me, Pitch, Trege, Buster, and a few others have had fun with battling in the past, and the majority of the time, we're thinking of new ways to outwit each other in future battles. Well, some of us, anyway. It might seem overwhelming at first, but in the long run, it's a lot of fun! If Smogon seems to be a bit complicated at first, don't get discouraged. I can PM you more details should you be interested and need help. Quick note: We haven't really gotten into Gen V battling as of yet because there's so many broken strategies that people are capable of using, and Gamefreak really screwed us over by removing the level 100 lock option. As a result, we have no plans as of yet to battle in Generation V.

Huh, I'll take a look at that. To be honest, I've never battled competitively due to not having Wifi set up. D: Still, wont hurt to take a look.

If you wanna continue your studies, the best way is via example. So luckily... New video! This one features me using a macho Sandstorm team. Pitch described his setup as "odd", and it was definitely filled with a lot of pokemon that I hadn't seen in a while and/or haven't seen yet. It also wound up being the longest so far, due to Leftovers messages and Sandstorm messages. The superstar rewards for this battle go to Lady Stardust and Miz Ruby, so enjoy.

You ought to get on that, Moon. The current main battlers are getting way bored. Houndoom Sweepage: Pitch vs TregePursuit Scardeycat: Pitch vs MikeyThese two videos are a little different, since they're both actually Pitch's videos, which I downloaded off of the GTS for sharing. I also did the recording in HeartGold so that the videos look more... Natural, spritewise. Oh yeah, if anybody knows anything about Shared Annotation (in other words, the ability to put annotations on videos that aren't yours), I'd love to know more about it, or better yet, HOW to do it. Me and Pitch are dumbfounded on the matter. « Nov 8, 2011, 2:36pm » Random Darach PownageMe vs Trege ~ That Little Mouse!Me vs Trege ~ ChanseysicleSo, yeah. The first video is me literally powning Darach; and unlike most of the noobs on Youtube, instead of decreasing his pokemon's levels by 5, I increased them by 5. It ain't no challenge unless you make it one! The next two are yet more battles against Trege, and although his team is the same in both, my team is different in both, so different things happen. In the first one, Minun winds up doing an almost complete sweep, and in the second one, Chansey gets frozen, but thaws instantly. So yeah. Cheers to hoping I get some new challengers soon.

Slowly convincing parents to get a better provider so I can buy a wireless router for my wireless connection. May buy a 3DS next year, maybe. My DSi is running low and I have no charger in the house to charge it with. Don't worry, Mikey! You'll soon see my skills in action soon enough! Emphasis on 'skills'.

And I'm about four badges into Soul Silver and I'm getting nostalgia in my face once more. Quilava makes me a happy man, and well, Riolu refuses to evolve. Curses! D:
Just started again on White though, oh the joys!

If I had pokemon to battle with in either SS or Platinum, I'd like to battle. A shame.

@hank It's a pretty gentle learning curve, getting into battling. There's a lot to take in, but you can learn it all as you go along, one thing at a time, and it all builds on itself, so it gets easier as you go. EV Training your first couple of Pokémon and getting the right movesets might take a long time, but it's all downhill from there.. or at least, it's mostly downhill. Some Pokémon are just a pain in the ass to raise, no matter how good a trainer you are. :37: Once you get the Power items and Pokérus, you can EV train in about 20-30 minutes, but getting the right Natures, Abilities, or TMs/Egg Moves (or all of the above) can be tedious. It's good fun, though, coming up with strategic movesets and building teams of your favorites. Not to mention the battles. If you ever do raise a few ’mons to play with online, let me know. It'd sure be nice to have some other people to battle around here. EDIT: Actually, I even have a (very special) Pokémon of mine I could give you just to get you started. Let me know if you're interested.

I've got the EV training, movesets, Natures, and Abilities down. I just don't bother with IV breeding, really. The real problem is that I re-started my SS a while back, and I played through Platinum as a Nuzlocke (which I finished this past week). So I'm not really prepared to start raising anything on either game. Plus, all my Pokerus is belong to my White version.

I've got the EV training, movesets, Natures, and Abilities down. I just don't bother with IV breeding, really. Oh, cool! No one would blame you for not messing around with IVs. It adds a lot of tediousness to it all, in just about every scenario. Breeding for Egg Moves, Nature and Ability all at once is crazy enough (as I'm sure you know), but mix a couple perfect IVs in there, and you'll go nuts. :37: It takes me forever to get the right ’mons, and I've streamlined the process as much as is humanly possible (outside of RNG), which basically involved catching Dittos of every nature and Dittos with a perfect IV for each stat... So many Dittos, man. :06: (I even caught a shiny!) But yeah, don't be intimidated if we're talking about IV breeding— it's not worth as much as Nature and EVs anyways. And... yeah, whenever you manage to clear the main game in Soul Silver, or whatever else, let us know and we'll get some battles going. ;D (You can still have my Pokéman if you'd like her. :ZZ:) The only other thing that needs to be mentioned is that we play in the UU tier ( incl. NU), as defined by Smogon, and we play by Smogon's rules. The UU thing was something I originally didn't mean to be a strict rule or anything, but the UU/NU tiers have so many more Pokémon than standard, and most of my favorite Pokémans are there. We generally frown on OU Pokémons’ being used— I think we can work around them to a certain extent, but they often have massive statistical advantages over UU counterparts. But absolutely no Ubers are allowed, at least, not without mutual agreement, blah, blah, blah, etc.. That should cover it, I think.
