Hey Pitch, I was wondering...
Did the English release of the games keep the S&M joke by Whitney/Akane, or if not, what did they replace it with?

@hf I'm guessing no... I don't remember anything even close to an S&M joke in the game; I can't imagine where it would've even been that they replaced it. I can't find any official source even mentioning it. x__x
Then again it has been a while since I played the main game.

In case anyone's curious, it goes something along the lines of this:
First visit to Pokethlon dome. Whitney: "Are you an S, or an M? Yeah, you look like an M alright. Your clothing size, of course! Hold on."

Hm, so it wasn't as watered down as I had expected from NoA.
Thanks for the info.

*glances around* *crosses arms* :15: Looks like it's time this thread gets an update from moi. First up: Mikey vs Trege: an incredibly unbalanced battle regarding EVs, but it's still noteworthy. Second up (and the main reasoning behind postage) Mikey vs Pitch: a video I actually shot in superior quality and had enough common sense to use Vegas to zoom in on the picture. I ought to make running the video through Vegas a necessity from now on. It's so much better... (sped up 1.5x) So, the last two times me and Pitch battled, I won both, so what happens this time? Hmmmm.

*glances around* *crosses arms* :15: Give it up man, it's over. The quality of that video was quite good, I must say. Good show. I'm definitely more and more off my game these days. Giving Scarf Duck Hydro Pump instead of Surf was the last possible trick I have up my sleeve for her. It worked well enough for this battle, but it never missed, so its massive downside never presented itself. (Hydro Pump has the same accuracy as Head Smash — running it is just about as risky for Golduck.) And all the while, I've even run the numbers so I know it won't OHKO your Alakazam without a critical hit — even with Stealth Rock damage. (It would take Stealth Rock plus at least one layer of Spikes.) And that's basically what my strategy for battling you has become: keeping my Alakazam checks alive. If you played with the intent to bait out and kill Golduck, Kangaskhan and Arcanine, you'd probably have an easy time tearing through what's left of my team with Alakazam. (Raise a Dark type? I guess I could do that.) Ah well. Next time the match will be mine. You'll see.

Old, but I'll put it here anyway: His Pokemon have Sonic Boom, and it won't be unlikely if they had Flash (Kick) too. Makes perfect sense to me.

Today I finally completed my Pokédex! It took one year, three months and fifteen days, but my 100% legitimate, Pitch Challenege™ certified Pokédex is full. ;D And to show just how awesome that is... the game let me take my picture with Prof. Oak, and gave me a diploma that I only get to look at once. :37: My last Pokémon was Milotic, who was a real pain to get. Catching Feebas in the Pokéwalker was bothersome enough, but in order to evolve the little guy in Soul Silver, you need to get a lot of hair cuts and massages, so the whole process took days. Not that that's really a big deal considering it took me months to unlock the course to get Feebas and Spiritomb from my Pokéwalker. Although, the final stretch went by quickly: by abusing teh Bonus Watts and riding my bike a lot, like I described in that one thread, I was able to get the last 20,000 Watts I needed in only 16 days. (That's 1,250 Watts per day!) I'm not sure what I want to do with the game now. About the only thing I have left to do in game is get that Battle Frontier achievement, which I really don't want to do. Having a complete Pokédex kind of makes me want to get back into raising Pokémans and battling and such, though, so maybe we can get some more of that going soon. I'm also tempted to start porting Pokémon over to Black version, but I really don't want to deal with that. But yeah... just thought I'd share that with you. I caught ’em all. EDIT: Oh, how rude of me. Also, big thanks to: Mikey, raven, Trege, fAB, Buster Cannon, Staulmaster, and Slash (and anyone I may've forgotten) for trading me lots of Pokémon from other versions that I needed to complete my Pokédex. Thanks a lot, guys! EDIT-EDIT: Wow, no response. You guys suck. :/

Wow, no response. You guys suck. :/ Lol'd, but now I feel bad. :17: Aaanyway, here's to last weekend, another battle with Pitch! This one was done in the similar style as the last one, except it was recorded on the 3DS. That explains the horrible JPEG quality, but I honestly think it looks better, because the whole screen is actually lit in the video. But that's just my opinion. Enjoy, eh?

It's a nice achievement, but it would be more impressive if you completed the Black and White Pokedex. (Though some event Pokemon have to be released.)
Every time they release a new Pokemon I try to complete my Pokedex and basically get every Pokemon from the previous games but missing some of the new ones.
Also: Black and White are the only Pokemon Games where you can't catch a Pikachu legitimately. You have to either import it or trade something for it.

Pitch began working on filling the National Dex for Generation IV long before Generation V ever even got here. The fact that he achieved it with a POKEWALKER, not accepting a Milotic or Spiritomb from anybody (or anywhere) else is dedication in itself. So I really wouldn't belittle his achievement with the existence of a Generation V national dex. If you mean the regional dex for Unova, he's already finished. All he's waiting for is Nintendo to release the event pokemon, besides Victini. If they ever do. edit: Oh yeah... ♪4th Musketeer here we come!♪

I've been spending more time in White then HG lately. I wish they'd kept the Yellow following Pokemon thing they added to HGSS in Gen5.

It's a nice achievement, but it would be more impressive if you completed the Black and White Pokedex. (Though some event Pokemon have to be released.) I collected all the new Pokémon and drew the line there. (Waiting for the three event Pokémons.) I could go to the trouble of porting over all the common Gen I-IV Pokémon if I really wanted to complete the National Dex, but I'd run into some problems when it comes to Legendaries.. Trades from Gen IV to Gen V are one-directional. Once the decision's made, there's no turning back. I already lost my Celebi and shiny dogs because the Relocater ate them, when I was trying to trigger the Zoroark event. >_< (I totally wanted to keep Celebi. ) There are also a couple Pokémon I just "borrowed" for Pokédex pages in Soul Silver, that I'd have to account for somehow. (Kyogre, Arceus, Darkrai, Dialga, Palkia and Shaymin come to mind.) Since I caught them all in some way or another, I decided to just leave it at that for now. Maybe I'll worry about the Gen V National Dex someday, if I get really bored. I'm in the mood for some battles if anyone is interested.
