There's a problem with GustaffGlyde's logic. If MegaMan has an A-class license, it must be during or after MML2. Because he starts with a B-class license at the start of MML2, and when you get the A-class license, Roll writes in her diary that he's never bothered to get one before.
And, I dunno, guys. I think the game would be absolutely fantastic if it weren't for the other 195+ characters in it that I know little to nothing about. In other words, I'm a die-hard Mega Man Legends maniac, but I don't know if I'd enjoy this game... It's too... how do I put this... "mainstream." It reminds me of something I'm not interested in, but everyone else seems to be, like Final Fantasy or EverQuest or Star Wars or... or, God forbid, Mega Man X/Zero. But, d***, it sure would be nice to see good ol' MegaMan Volnutt and Roll Caskett again. Makes me want to be able to read Japanese (Is it okay to say the d-word on a Mega Man forum? XD). Tron I'm not so excited about. *pelted with rocks and garbage*
And, I don't really like the idea of a fighting game with Mega Man Legends characters. Fighting games are all pretty much the same to me, and I'm happy just to have the Mega Man arcade game.
My 18th birthday is a week from tomorrow (on May 13, 2005), and shortly after that is E3. I'm going to pray and pray and pray they mention Rockman DASH 3. But it's not likely... *sighs*
So, who wants to donate to the "Buy MegaDave a Playstation 3 Fund"? Anybody? *crickets chirp*

So when is the exact date of release in US? I heard in Japan it's May 6, 2005.

Not a bad point, but you do get an A class license after beating the Marlwolf in MML1. They explained that the licenses you got on Kattelox were useless elsewhere as Kattelox isn’t part of the official Digger’s Guild. The ruins in MML2 are policed by the Digger’s Guild based on Nino Island, and only a license from them can get you access to ruins that are under their jurisdiction. Kattelox policed its own ruins so it was by their authority that licenses could be issued. I’m guessing that in MML3 there will be a new Digger’s Guild or something of that sort. As for NxC, I don’t think it’ll be all bad, even with all the other chars… At least, so long as Juno and maybe those other guys stick around for the better part of the game (seeing as MM is the flagship Capcom character, that seems likely). Eh, I’d say that you should at least rent it, and maybe buy it when the price goes down. It’s really a tactical strategy game… granted most of the scenes focus on the fights, but it’d be boring to simply watch a guy move around the field. The “fighting” simply consists of pressing a certain button which causes your char to attack (I don’t know if the actual fights are turn-based though). Ah, but anyways, as for updates, a page detailing several things has been added to the NxC site ( here). The first part mentions the main menu (that screen with the Gesselschaft) and says that you can access the shop and save/load, etc (big surprise, eh?). You can also do training if need be. The menu can only be accessed between stages. The first section below details the training room. Here you can practice inputting moves. I suppose it’d be useful when you’re first starting out or you get new chars or to just practice in general. The second is the shop. I’ll bet you don’t know what you can do there do you? Why, buy and sell equipment and items. Shocked? I bet! Apparently the mysterious Capcom Blonde runs the shop along with another person. The second part tells you that enemies can drop items. The last part is about a bonus game. Basically, you roll dice and win money. Simple enough… Anyways, you won’t always run into it, but I’m guessing it’s a good way to make money. Well, that’s all for this update… sad really. Oh well, maybe they’ll make a bigger update next time. (To answer Ninja, there is no US release date as of yet. Seeing as this game celebrates Namco’s 50 th anniversary, I’d think they would release it eventually though).

I can't wait to play this freakin' game, except for the fifty or so Namco characters I won't recognize. Speaking of those, does anyone know of Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man made it into the mix?

Honestly, I don't know whether to be worried if they have or had not made it. If anything, I think they might be secret or joke characters, like Mr. Game and Watch of Smash Brothers Melee.
Last time I checked, the plot was about stuff being sucked into our quaint, little world. I'd be worried if I saw large, yellow blobs hovering about eating stuff... Or it could be like that one episode on Futurama, with Fry and the gang teaming up with Colonel Pac Man against some weird aliens that like to say "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US." That'd be awesome.

What if....that thing I said?
Like, though, I probably won't recognize anybody from the Tales games and whatnot. Probably Xenosaga, maybe Baten Kaitos if there are any, Druaga, I guess, 'cause basically there's only two or three major characters there, but other than that, I'll be like, "Who the hell is that?"

To me, Tron and the Servbots looks odd in this shot. www.legends-station.com/other/nxc-screens/102.jpg Also, when the American version of Namco X Capcom comes out, I hope that there will be good voice actors or the original japanese voices(I've always wanted to hear Trigger and the gang talk japanese).

Post Sections Video 5 ~ MA Digest [ New!] [/li][li] Video 4 ~ Battle Digest [Check out SD's site for screenshots][/li][li] Video 3 ~ Event Scene Digest [/li][li] Assorted Unimportant Updates ______________________________________ ~Multiple Assault Digest~ Eh, another one? Yup. This one has no Legends content whatsoever (well, the back fin of the Flutter shows up...), but it's sort of intresting. MAs are kind of fun to watch, and quite deadly. Anyways, download here______________________________________ ~Battle Digest~ And yet another video has been released. This one doesn’t have much new Legends content (an extended version of the first movie’s “Shining Laser” scene and Tron’s Gustaff and the Lunch Rush vs. a Gorubeshu). The quality also isn’t great. Anyways, if you're interested then you can get it here. I doubt I’ll need to upload it more than once, but if the link expires I’ll re-upload it. Well, I’ll add more when it comes. Random Pictures EDIT: Heh, well it seems SD, someone who knows how to make screen shots well, has updated his gallery. So go here and check them out. Well, three days till the eastern release… ______________________________________ ~Event Scene Digest~ Well, you know how you said earlier that you wanted to hear what MM and Roll sound like in Japanese? Well, the third trailer has been released and guess what it focuses on? Character dialogue and voices! We get to hear a Kobun, Tron, Roll, and MM through the course of the movie. It also looks like I managed to get to it before MLU this time (I was so close with the second movie, but alas... at least we're even now). Ah well, I just want to make sure MMLS gets it first, regardless of if anyone cares or not Anyways, The file is now on MMLS, so I'll direct you there instead ( here. It's the last one on the list, video #3). Enjoy! (And my old post, if anyone is actually interested in it, is below the screen caps. I had to delete it to avoid double posting.) Added some screen shots. Not the greatest quality, but oh well... ____________________________________________ ~Pointless Updates~ page 4 of the char page ( Clicky). [/li][/ul]

I been looking around for some more stuff on this game, now that's it come out in Japan, but everything I've seen says there's currently no plans to bring it to the US, which obviously, would suck. I hope either Namco or Capcom decides to step up to the plate and bring it over. Obviously, it would require a lot of translation and voice acting to get it localized. For that reason, I can't see myself importing it, as I can't speak or read a lick of Japanese.

Hmm... The voice acting's not bad. Not that I really have much to compare it with. I never did hear the Japanese voices for Legends 1 or 2, or MoTB for that matter. So really, my saying it's good is just me being nice. Whoopee. The game should come out in English, but with all the translations that will be needed, don't hold your breath too much. But there are people here that can speak Japanese, are there not? Worst-case scenario, we could ask them to do fan translations of the game. And if they can't, someone will eventually. And if they don't, we'll take over some small country, sell it to Russia, and then use the money to fund our own translated version of the game, for non-marketing purposes of course. Wouldn't want to mess with the law after all. I should be able to speak Japanese fairly fluently in 4 years, according to my class scheduling and current time distribution plan. I'm not sure if I'll care by then though... Pac Man games were good, but let's face it, they had no depth. It might be included as say, a minigame, but if they were to include it as a major branch of the game, they would have to do some major scripting to incorporate a story into it. Somehow, I doubt they’ll consider the opportunity to do more work a bonus, but that’s just me.

Just a note to anyone considering modding a PS2 to play a Japanese version of Namco x Capcom:
FOR THE LOVE OF GRAVY AND ALL THAT IS HOLY, JUST IMPORT A JAPANESE CONSOLE!
Honestly. Unless you're looking forward to SOMEHOW, SOME WAY converting your slide out tray into a pop-top mechanism in the way of the first Playstations.
Absolutely insane. I mean, I know it has Legends characters, but I can't imagine it would be worth the risk and effort to attempt.
