Call me crazy, but I’m guessing it’s the NxC theme song. Really, not much else is known about the song yet. Anyways, I headed to the NxC site and found that they’ve put up another video, and then headed over to MLU where, as expected, a link to a place to download it had already been posted.

Not much legends this time, but as Danny pointed out, there’s a brief scene where Juno is talking to several Gorubeshu. He almost looks playable, but I’m still thinking that such is but a dream. Anyways, the NxC site has added a third char page (here) which lists several chars, including the Legends gang. About time… still no Teisel and co. though.

As for the voice actors… The thing is, Namco is releasing this so the question is, will Namco bother rounding up the old crew? I mean, Lassie boy (MML1’s MM) won’t be there, and who knows about the others… I suppose Capcom keeps their contact info, so it’s possible, but it still worries me…

EDIT: Eh, found a list of the songs on the early release OST here. I’m not a translator, but maybe someone can figure it out…

Sorry for not trying to read up on several pages of posts so please boot me if this has been mentioned before:

To me, it feels like a Kingdom Hearts mush with a different set of characters. I'm only hoping that Namco will mess around and make something so people WON'T think of Kingdom Hearts. And not suck. That's an important one too.

Will I be picking this one up? To see Tron again, yes, definitely. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 shouldn't be the last time we ever see the likes of her in a video game outside of cameos.

Okay, I like Tron still although it's nice to see more than her in one game.

I don't think it'll be that much like Kingdom Hearts; after all the gameplay is completely different and all of the characters in Namco X Capcom are video game characters first and foremost.

Still, I can see what you're saying in that this, like KH, is kind of a "fanfiction game," where people who have no business being in the same game somehow are, like Super Smash Bros. But, remember, both of those aforementioned games are considered fairly good to excellent, so hopefully we have stuff to look forward to?..

You know, here I started this thread, have been watching it closely, and suddenly I realize we're on page 5 and I still haven't voted!

Well, having all this time to consider the options, I've finally chosen... MUST HAVE LEGENDS CHARACTERS!!! Yeah, I think the game does look awesome. I like a lot more characters than just the Legends crew, but I've reached a point where video games don't excite me like they used to, and even the most exciting games which I once would have grabbed up the day they release, now sit for awhile. I buy them later, and don't play them as wildly... Sad really... Anyway, I think this game falls into that category-- one I'd probably buy eventually, but the Legends characters make it irresistible!

But Tron makes up for that. I loved the game that Tron was in. It was Capcom vs SNK 2? I think thats it. Anyways, whose that baby in the green robot? he was against Tron in a screenshot.

I've been wondering if it is Bon with out the robo body. I agree with fab that the other characters make it better, but it could come out and I'd care less without the legends characters.

If only marvel was in it.

No, that weird baby is not Bon (why would he be fighting Tron and be partnered up with some kind of bubblegum man?). From what I can tell, he’s part of this team. Apparently, he’s the more intelligent one of the group and handles info analysis and weapons development. His machine is also called “Silver Fist”. I don’t know much more beyond that as of now.

As for Glyde… Eh, things don’t look too good for him, but you never know. Still, I’d assume that if he’s there it’ll only be for a short scene with Tron. One reason that I’d doubt Glyde will show up is that he has no real weapon that could be used in the game. I suppose they could make something like Tron’s mecha, or have him with a rapier or a buster, but I’d doubt it, especially since two chars already use mecha. Tron can get in because she’s popular and they had already made a fighting version of Tron for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 so they could just use that for her. That, and there’s already a lot of chars (200 methinks, but I’m guessing they aren’t all playable). At best, I’d say he’ll have mention or a short scene. The same goes for Teisel… too bad.

Of course, you needn’t worry about Glyde, because, apparently, “there’s a bit of Glyde in all of us” (don’t think about that one too much… and that’s from the Sloganizer… an interesting contraption I must say…)

Yes indeed. The babybot is part of Captain Commando's team (though Guy isn't, to my knowledge...not sure why he's in that picture). You can see those guys in MvsC/2 during his combos.

Cool about Juno, though. The fact that he has his own little army there makes me think he must have some importance in the game.

Now that I look at it, you are absolutely right. Juno looks about as close to a playable character as one can come. In fact, looking at the videos and screenshots, specifically the section with Juno getting the snot beaten out of him by Roll and Rock, isn't he on the left side? I'm not familiar with this genre of game, but isn't the opposing character normally on the RIGHT side? Perhaps the two diggers are the enemy here...

Also, the Sloganizer is an amazing site, and I recommend it for anyone looking towards a vocation in global domination.

Heh, that rhymed... It generated one for my username as well. "Don't mess with mlt." is what it told me. It truly has wisdom in it's coding that far outdates anything assumable by a single human in any given lifetime. Amazing contraption, simply amazing.

Opponents aren't always on the right, besides, weren't those two main charicters were on the right side in that random encounter battle?

Yeah, in this game it would appear that good guys are on the right and bad guys on the left. It would be interesting to play as Juno and his gorubeshu against MM and Roll though… Sadly, I’d doubt that. One good reason is that he isn’t listed on the char page even though MM, Roll, Tron, and the kobun are. I’d think that if he were playable they’d have listed him with the others. I do think Juno will play some role in the game, I just don’t think he’ll be playable.

If only Juno had a game all to himself… Heck, why doesn’t someone go and make a Juno shrine/site? Everyone else has one these days… Juno needs love too ya know… er, I’ll shut up now…

I wonder why Trigger is not using the Buster, but is using the Shining Laser. Also, is Trigger's story in Namco X Capcom(I found out that the X stands for cross) right after Legends 2 or after Legends 3(If there will be), or is it completely unrelated? Either way, I will still get the game because "It has Legends characters, therefore I must have it!"

Yeah, X stands for cross in the same way that Xing is read “crossing”, and it means that one company is being crossed with another (I don’t know why some people didn’t know that… The Japanese title (ナムコ クロス カプコン ) translates as Namco cross Capcom, so that was a good hint). Anyways, Shining Laser may have been his special move. Each char has one, but considering MM’s profile mentions him having a buster and special weapon, I’m guessing Shining Laser isn’t his main weapon. Eh, I wonder what Juno’s special is…

As for the storyline question… I don’t know, though the profiles below seem to indicate a MML1 timeline (either before or during). I attempted to descramble the usual Babel Fish translation below, but it probably isn’t 100% accurate as I’m no translator.

He is a digger (a person who excavates ruins and possesses an A class license). He seems to have a serious secret apparent from the time he was a baby found within a certain ruin. Since he can use a weapon on both his right and left arm, his combat power is quite high.

So, at least he has an A class license, but not much else is revealed. I’d assume it takes place during the MML1 timeline. Hence why Juno is around.

Another digger (a person who excavates ruins and is Rock’s partner). During an excavation, she backs up Rock as a spotter. She is a genius mechanic who can handle everything from servicing and operating the airship “Flutter” to the development of weapons for Rock.

Once again, not perfect, and nothing we didn’t already know. It also referred to the flutter as “Flutter Number”. I just put it down as Flutter.

One member of the air-pirate “Bonne family”. She is the eldest daughter of the three Bonne siblings. She is a genius mechanic in charge of designing and producing the aggressive kobun and various machines. One of her original works is her machine, the “Gustaff”. She is a support mechanic and serves as a parent for the Kobun.

A confusing one. “With the genius of the mechanic, you have taken charge of the design production of the aggressive mechanic.” was sort of hard to make sense of (they either meant the kobun or the Bonne machines. Eh, I just put both). They also called the Gustaff “Gustav”.

The support machines whom Tron created. In all, there are 40 which fight at Tron’s command and do chores such as cooking in the kitchen and laundry. They work with the utmost effort because of Tron who is like a mother to them seeing as she created them. Their personalities vary, but human smell is strangely featured (?).

Yeah, that last line… lost me. Ah, but that’s why I’m not being paid.

Overall, nothing we didn’t already know. Still, seeing as Juno is there, only forty kobun exist, and the Gesselshaft isn’t in pieces, I’m going to assume this takes place either during or before MML1. That pretty much means no Yuna or Sera. Teisel and Glyde still get a maybe though.

The support mechanic whom tron produces. At all 40 body time, it fights from operation of the mechanic, to the chore such as the cooking in the kitchen laundry, it works with utmost effort because of the tron which is the production person. The character is various, but human smell is feature strangely.

On an unrelated note, why is it that when you place a Japanese character next to a parenthesis mark it becomes a kobun smiley?
