Thanks Dashe! -Was thinking of updating the Elysian symbols anyway, but yeah, definitely a must now that you mention it. -Traded in BRIGHT red for dull gray like its fellow forms -Stylesheet already has the Edit, Quote, Etc. font set to bold, even though it doesn't look it. Have enlarged it a bit. -Have reworked the whole control bar that scrolls down, killing a bit of the blue on the page and making it stand out better as a functional element when you scroll. Thoughts, anyone?

What I've noticed from the configurations of our profiles is that option of blocking members, I wonder if I can block Dashe and fAB and post whatever I want breaking the forum rules and not reading their complains... probably not but if so, I could get real crazy and post "XP" on the mumbo jumbo thread. bwahahahaha! We should probably test this. I wouldn't be surprised if nobody were allowed to block fAB since he's the owner of the board. He also can't be banned. The block function should probably be tested on all ranks of staff to see exactly how it works and what gets blocked. This could get ugly if we ever wind up in a hypothetical situation where the entire staff blocks each other, too. Haha lol, the forums just got interesting again! All joking aside the new look isn't bad. Could be quite beneficial in the long run somehow. Just noticed that there's not a limit on what can be typed in. So theoretically someone could make just one huge massive post?

While I'm not great at it (as CSS isn't my forte), I gave Stylish a go, to try to make PBv5 look more like PBv4. It isn't perfect, but it's a start, and I'm sure someone more adept at it (like Pitch) could probably finish the job if he wanted to. MLU is still v4, and makes a pretty good reference point for getting the right spacing and font sizes. @namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

While you're at it, Chiz: How does the forum look using the major browsers?
Internet Explorer Safari Mozilla Firefox Google Chrome Dolphin (Android OS) etc...

- The vast majority of people here use Firefox or Chrome, so I'd say that there's no serious issue with either of them from the lack of "why is this broken" posting.
- Opera looks about the same as Firefox, barring a little bit of slowness related to the ads (but not the forum itself).
- Safari will probably be pretty close to Chrome.
- I can't really test out mobile browsers on Android or iOS, but if they don't quite work right, Proboards has a handy-dandy app you can buy to make it work! ...I'm not kidding.
- I don't really care about how MSIE performs.

There's actually a separate page view for mobile browsers now. I'm pretty sure there wasn't before. You don't have to buy an app or anything, but you still have the option. Although, the mobile site is 100% un-themed and it looks totally generic. Threads are completely top-down, there are no columns, and it's all fluid so everything fits any screen without any ridiculous zooming in and out or panning to move around. It could (maybe) use a theme style, just so long as it's not more moody, depressing blue and dark red and neon and white text with black links and a pointless, hilly landscape.. Not sure what it'd mean for Terraformer and such. That may be problematic. As for hacking forum skins and such, I probably could make a nice V3 hack, but it would have to have 20% 100% more Yuna. ... however that would work out. I'm leaning toward revising V2 one of these days. Right now I'm content to just play with the colors (a little) in V5.

Alright, my test forum has been updated to v5, and looking at the features provided, I don't think I'm going to bother with Terraformer 2. - Emotikobun Plus is useless, as PBv5 can have as many emotes as wanted, but that's all in the admin panel which I can't access, and never had access to, so it's entirely up to fAB to add in everything. Whether or not he does is up in the air, 'cause I believe he was never a big fan of having a hundred-odd icons to begin with.
- QuickMap's already been replaced with the code straight from the website and is going to be managed by fAB.
- Advanced Signatures is useless, because you can just make a div and style it with the css that they allow, which is 80% of what was in AdvSig anyway.
- Advanced News is useless, because the newsbar is so small now, you can't fit much more in there anyway.
- Better Spoilers is useless, just use a div with matching color and background-color.
- Embed All The Things is useless, because PB supports more than just Youtube now. They probably come with advertisements, too, but that's never going to change.
I'm basically without a job now, so I dunno what I'm going to do. It'll probably be awhile before I have anything worthwhile to show.

You could, umm ... well no, we've got that. Maybe you could make it so that... nope, that's there too. I guess you could do something that ... Wait, that's probably not legal.. Well damn, I dunno. Well, you could update Terraformer to straighten up all the legacy usage around here. We've had those awesome hacks for a while, and maybe we don't need the hack to do those cool things now, but a lot of old posts are broken since the update. Just a thought. It's still very awesome, anyway, that you were able to hack in all these amazing features that it took Proboards seven years to finally get around to including. Give it a while. Once we get used to the new features, we're bound to find room for improvements somewhere. I mean, c'mon, it's Proboards..

I actually LIKED having 100+ smilies. Right now the Awesome face is missing, which is a bummer because that and Poker Face were the two I used most. I've got access to the admin panel, too, but I don't have any of the Emotikobun files. Is there a function that lets us place things under cuts now? That'd be nice.

bwahaha! I've finally get rid of Dashe! It is possible to block staff members except for fAB, it also hide your last post Dashe, try to see my profile, send me pm or follow me, but I doubt it will be of any use now... Well done proboards! The reign of anarchy begins! What a terrible upgrade. EDIT: it's also possible to block fAB and hide his posts, don't let him follow me and block notifications about him, however, it seems both fAB and Dashe can still start conversations with me, or send PMs, so notifications or warnings for breaking rules would still be permitted. I can rest now I can still see, quote, and edit your posts. We're also still registered as friends, and I can still see your account activity. Someone else quote me and check to see if Striker can see it. Rockman Striker, let me know if you can see this post in which I've quoted and also tagged you. I couldn't saw your posts but I got notifications about being tagged and cuoted by you. Interesting but not very useful, XD I'm joking, of course!

Dashe - Addressing what I didn't before, Blyka also gave me a thumbs-down on the new thread icons. I've always hated the Proboards defaults but never knew what to replace them with. The new ones were even worse IMHO, so I forced myself to try and come up with a replacement. Guess I'll force myself to try again. @truner - Good call on the hover button background, much improved that way. Theme randomizer seems like an odd thing to me, but maybe people would like it? I'm too busy to spend my time looking into it, but if someone else were to come up with a way then I don't see why we couldn't add it. As for that search bar button, it's tricky. I've tinkered with it a lot and nothing seems to get it just right for me, let alone other browsers. The worst part is that it's differently sized depending on whether the action bar has begun to scroll with the page or not... For now, I'm defeated on this front. Pitch - Hiding potentially valuable feedback among sour comments masked by a spoiler tag is hardly productive. If there's one good thing about this V5 upgrade, it's that the changes have forced me to reexamine everything as I sort it out and made me feel like we don't just have to put it back how it was--we can make it better instead. So yeah, even though it would undermine much of the work I did last week, it's worth taking another look at the whole "too blue" issue and the black link color which was sort of a necessary evil to begin with. If we ditch the dominant bright blue, and change it the current mini-profile shade, make the mini-profile something right between the two, give it all a white border, and change the link color to what the main site uses, we get this. It's darker, which some people might not dig, but I like it myself. Of course it would also affect other areas of the forums, but still. What say the rest of you? Also, that pointless hilly landscape has been bugging me a lot lately too, so I made a point of adding Bon in there. More Legends imagery to come. Chiz - Now I feel kind of bad that I did the Site Map myself, though it really does make more sense this way. Regarding the hundred+ emoticons, true I don't think we ever needed that many, but since we had them and some people used them, we should keep them so that they aren't missing from posts. Do you think you could put together a list of which codes went with which emoticon, and give me all the icons individually to upload? Also, if you're looking for new stuff to do, we never did get a good system in place for the Awards. Right now they're just running off the censored words as a quick fix, which of course isn't ideal and they don't have their title tags. Putting them into custom titles was never ideal to begin with either. V5 gives me the ability to create new profile fields, but without code to convert #award# to imagewithtitletag, it's pointless to do so.

Maybe we can hold another Devroom-like contest to conceptualize new icons for the different versions while everyone's waiting for TLT Event #6.

That temporary one you're working on is pretty neat, but I will say that my eyes love the V5 design for its basic gray look. Does Proboards still run off of HTML design with colors?

I like the temporary V4 look also. Something tells me the quote/edit buttons should be a bit brighter to match everything else, but maybe that's just me.
