It just feels like a cheap cash grab to me. Most of their iOS stuff has been pretty lame, so it's tough to give them the benefit of the doubt. I bet I can name one upcoming Capcom iOS release (other than this one) that looks promising and awesome. "The Ace Attorney Trilogy HD Remake" Take That! (Pun-Intended)

Now that one does sound good for fans of the series. Anyway, this was more of a delete/re-post since there's a new trailer out... Rockman X Over - Trailer #1I think I'll stick with the older games, thank you very much. Really, this one should be canned.

Canned? Are you out of your gourd? We don't need another canceled Megaman game. To be honest I have no real interest in this game. It is really no condolence. At least Volnutt is in the very last second of the trailer...

The series doesn't need a bad one either, and I don't have much hope for this one being any good. Capcom needs to take a timeout and think about where they want to go from here. Games don't have to be 8-bit or what they've done in the past, but I just don't see how this is any good for preserving the series.

Capcom needs to take a timeout and think about where they want to go from here. Protip: Capcom isn't a single entity, let alone a single person. Nor is it a hobby or servant to personal interests.

True, but the decisions are currently being made by the suits more than the actual men that make games. It doesn't help that their in-house talent has almost all left at this point. Considering the massive backlash I've been seeing this game get, I very much doubt this is going to do the Mega Man brand any good.

Well the most interesting part of that interview for me would've had to be the description of the boss battle: I can't really say that I didn't have hopes for Xover, since I did want Megaman in general to live on (and actually survive), but I hardly batted an eye when Xover was first announced. Somehow, this review still manages to be highly amusing to me, despite all of the intense negativity emanating from it. It's probably not very appropriate, but it did have me chuckling. So not only did they pick the most abnormal gaming platform for Megaman thus far, but they turn it into an underwater train wreck? I don't even? Needs more talent.

Bean, I'm thinking now that the series is probably worse off because of the game. Now they can really just write off the anniversary and cite this games (possible) low profits as a reason not to make MM games. I doubt this is last Megaman game made but I guarantee the next will still be pretty paltry. It's a gradual weening of the series. I consider this the third nail in the coffin at this point. I do still think the series could do without another cancellation though, even if it's this POS. As much as I'd love another big internet shit storm for Capcom (if they canceled this game) it wouldn't help.

That's the point I'm trying to make. If people buy it, Capcom can keep making these kind of games. If they don't, then they can say that people don't like Mega Man. Still, I won't support games that look low budget and effort like this. At least the thing has around a 300:1 dislike ratio on Capcom's official channel.
And no, canning this game would probably be a good thing for the series with all the negativity surrounding it. This wouldn't be a Legends 3 or Universe situation. It wouldn't even be a Rockman Online one to me.

That's "SketchMan3". Capital S, capital M and the number 3. It's official (nicknames are ok, though)

I support low budget-looking games all the time. Now, low-effort I don't support, but some of my fav games are lo-no-budget.

That's a good distinction Sketch. MML3 was a 'low-budget' game. I can't say for certain this is low effort, but from the 3 seconds we saw it seems pretty uninspired. Color me uninterested. If that's a color.

I was reading over The Mega Man Network's impressions of this game and happened to glance down at a passionate but well-mannered comment on there. After reading it, I looked to see who it was from. Turns out it was Dashe. Ha-ha. Might as well link you all to that.

You didn't recognize the comment as Capcom's Legends 3 Cancellation notice with all of the words changed? Come on, I can't be the only one here who's got that memorized. :17:

I can't even remember what I ate for breakfast a couple of days ago. Actually, wait. It was cereal. I remember more of the tweets from the Capcom Euro Twitter than anything else. Man, that was something else.
