Good thing the Legends cast of main characters is so small. You would have lots of reaction panels coming... ... which begs to say, Data should have had his own reaction shot!

If I could hit the thumbs up sign twice for Teisel, I'd do it. Teisel has that effect on me.

Uh, wow. I completely missed the boat on this. My first time seeing this project.
The amount of love in these pages has me paralyzed. I can't properly express how lovely this is. Charismatic, charming.
You're doing great work. I'm excited to see where this heads. It's such a gift.

Now uh, I know I told you that I would try my best to be constructive with the feedback but --
SO
DAMN
COOL.
*sigh* Okay! Now that I've gotten that out of the way I'm going to start replying as I finish chapters in the story. Here we go!
-PROLOGUE: The Blue Digouter-
The passion in this is evident straight away and oh man the commitment... I could stand to learn a thing or two (or so much moooore) from this! Whether the art style is like that because you don't wish to emulate the Legends series completely and want to use your own personal style (I get this so much haha) or anything else, I think the way it's drawn does its job. I mean sure there are inconsistencies here and there as far as proportion goes, but when its a comic/manga adaptation you can expect a looot of those (like Hokuto no Ken / Fist of the North Star! they use the change in size and perspective to denote overall strength and the intimidation factor). I also like how it shows the duo so mysterious-like and as soon as Rock sees the refractor he's shown to be a smiling dork is awesome haha.
I might be wrong in this, but I think your specialty lies in the action scenes - they seriously blow me away. They're extremely well-thought out, with each panel showing exactly what it needs to in order to help the reader follow. The way the ROCKBUSTERRRR(what a dork haha) quickly snaps back to an arm just as he grabs the leg of the zakobon clutching him from behind, little details like that are wonderful. The explosions and beams too! It reminds me so much of the old Dragonball manga I used to read as a kid (at least when ki blasts started to become a thing). The sound effects win 8).
There are some little touches here that might come off as necessary to anyone who hasn't played the game but seriously - who's reading this who hasn't played Megaman Legends haha. I think it's a sweet tribute by making it feel like we're playing the game at the same time which, I think was one of your goals yeah? To make it still feel like the game? Well you nailed it, buster (ROCK BUSTERRRRRR).
Dat sexy worn-out fuse though. Being a digger at heart it's attractive as can be~
Your depiction of the Hanmuru Doll, its entrance, it gives me the same anxiety I had when I played Rockman Dash the first time haha. You know for such a charming game it could be super creepy in those ruins...
Also Rock does give off vibes of being a Purifier in a previous life haha. Things get extremely tense when he gets serious!
Am I saying too much? Yeah I'm saying too much... I'll leave more of it for the next chapter haha...
TL;DR - it's good ; w ;

A big thanks for the feedback, Digouter ! The interesting thing about the ROCKBUSTERRRR (really surprised you liked this haha) is that the weapon's actually named such, and not just called a "Buster" or "Buster Gun" like in the English translation. Having heard of "Buster Gun" the first time ("Aim for the Top!" jokes aside), I wanted to play with both translations a bit and treat them as separate weapons (which I have in more detail in RMDL's Glossary); while "Buster" is a unique weapon with effectively limitless ammo, "Buster Gun" is more like the mass-produced version which attempts to replicate its destructive abilities (except having ammunition restrictions). I don't think I mentioned in detail yet, but the technique Rock used was basically my take on the rate of fire bug in the games; by button mashing the forward and buster buttons you can bypass the time interval between Buster shots, effectively firing at insanely fast speeds which can tear early enemies apart easily. Obviously we can't have that in-game, so penalties! The Rock I want to portray in this adaptation is that he's still the "Nice Kid" like in the games, but isn't afraid to show off and act his age. Considering that he's wearing a unique armor that allows him to call forth a hand cannon of unlimited ammo, I say he's still pretty modest. I do like to think that some of the stunts he pulls would deserve some of Roll's lectures and making him take the job more seriously though. :v Again thanks for the feedback! I'm looking forward to knowing more what you think! Update: Oh, it's that time of the week again! Have a new page!

All right! I don't mean to double-post (well, maybe I do a little hehe), I'mma continue on with the review!
-CIVILIZATION-
I had forgotten to mention, but the colored pages were great (particularly Rock's armor and the Flutter, though they're all good). the Flutter crash landing was made awesomely. Again, there was some anxiety when I first played through it and saw that scene, and when the lower fin of the flutter just got riiipped apart, that was something else. The last picture of the Prologue pretty much captures that feeling completely in my opinion!
Rock not being in his armor when they first step foot on the island is all right as well - gives everything a more casual feel haha. I'll admit that the armor gave me the feeling of being a true outsider in Kattelox, but that's no biggie! I wonder if his clothes darken when he does mean things as well...
That said, Apple Market looks like it was made with respect (yo)! And when Rock disappeared on Roll I was immediately thinking "the dirty magazine, isn't it...", and then the next page had him looking at the magazines (not dirty though)... xD
And a 'tasteful' Rock undressing scene (heh), I wasn't quite expecting that but--SERVBOT. WHICH ONE IS THAT.
...04? It's Servbot number Four? That was my old name here in MMLS, you know. I didn't know I was in this comic, MUCH LESS CATCHING ROCK IN SUCH AN INDECENT SITUATION... hahah, still though. That's an odd coincidence.
That Junker's a bad-ass, plain and simple - Garry could learn a thing or two! The fact that he's wearing armor similar to Rock gives me a different perspective on how some diggers act, but I definitely get that you were trying to keep the ROCKBUSTERRR special. It's definitely food for thought. The more evident discrimination over non-local digouters as well is something to consider when crafting my own story.
Junker's Wife: DID YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS, HIPPOPOTAMUS
It's amazing how much more life everyone has when they're given just a bit more time to shine huh? *remembers Rock undressing* Well, maybe that's a little -too- much life...
And the peek into the backstory of Barrell and how he found Rock! Granted it's territory I dare not tread (I try to keep my own story as out of the way as possible), but considering that you're creating a more in-depth version of the first game's story, this is good! Loving that scene with younger Barrell. He aged a lot in thirteen or so years though huh?
Teisel looks hella ominous (and badass)... I am still reeling from reading Dashe's rendition of Teisel far into the future, and seeing yet another fresh side of him is cool. Wow I am just writing too m--topless Rock at the end. Heh. Heheh.
Well, you've got me hooked! Is this your plan? IS IT

Sorry for the really late response Digouter! Thanks for noticing the small details for the Flutter's crash landing! I remember the entire sequence leaving an impact (haha) on me when I first watched it! I decided to give Rock a casual appearance so I can give some contrast to his "In Action" and "Relaxed" appearances, also I think he emotes a bit better physically as his armor's bulky. I like to think the pile of magazines he reads through (This isn't a library!) has a few dirty magazines though! Not saying what kind though. (Roll: Hey what are you readi- "Boku..."?) You see? Having Rock treat his armor as something worn instead of actual body parts allows for such fun situations (because naked people are fun to watch panic). As for why #4, it's his goggles... Adding discrimination against Digouters is an element I want to play with especially if other cultures come into play (even if not, I think it's worth keeping in mind for world building); obviously people will have issues with outsiders mooching off their reserves and disturbing what is effectively mining operations in their own neighborhoods/towns/etc. But this idea also extends to the next generation: Comparing how some children are treated if their parent(s) are convicted felons, I think it's plausible to think that an "Outer's Child" would have similar shaming or bullying depending on culture and how most people think of outsiders in general. (Getting late here, but would comment more next time! Thanks as always! Also look for easter eggs!) Rock's a little scrawny, not having enough protein in his diet. Look at him, all he is seen having for breakfast is a single Oronamin C. He's a growing hard-working boy and needs A LOT to eat etc... Update: Here comes the latest page, ... and new challenger!?

I hear the phrase "new challenger" and I wonder if HF has any plans for Art. I keep forgetting that guy exists and was meant to play a bigger role than what he has in the game. I don't believe we've seen him in the comic just yet.
Good stuff though! Let's see if Roll stays behind to hide in the car.
