@hf: -.- of course not. You are the one writing this stuff so you already know the result of the bet before it is even shown.
Anyway, I believe that the Bonnes will be more of a success Air Pirates rather than comedy relief. At least I hope so. It is hard to take Teisel seriously and hearing him without chucking, so I really hope for a more stoic Pirate leader. As for Tron... hmm.. there's nothing much that she needs to change really. However she could use not to wear her emotions stamped on her face.
(Edit: 17/09/13)
NEW PAGE! Not much to say about it... although I could hear Teisel's voice when I read this page. Also what are those sound effects? I am used to see the translation in a corner of the page... : P
Also the Bonnes need to take care of their flag. It is full of bug bites XD

MegaTuga: Beat me to the announcement again! Maybe I should just leave things to you... (kidding) Up to now, I felt that the Bonnes have been a bit more 'delicate' to work with for RMDL, partly because they have been such iconic lovable villains that making changes need to be reviewed often to avoid losing their 'identity'. For example: Do I want to accent their cool side more, yet retain a bit of their humor in some way? Or just make them unforgiving pirates if the Terran skies? How far? Well I can reveal that I have expanded on Teisel's side a bit more with a certain rival of his so far...

I like this new page. It's got a grisly sadness about it. The frown on the Servbots face while he fires the rocket, the firey contact, and the dark flapping of the flag in the wind all combine together to make a wonderfully crafted scene. Maybe one of your most impressive.

Maybe one of your most impressive. It's some interesting insight you have shared with us again... I never thought of it that way! For those who haven't been at the iscribble session from a day or two ago (one which Dashe and I had a few interesting discussions before the others joined in), I've got some draft concept art to share with everyone coming late Tuesday/Wednesday this week (I guess less than 24 hours from now)! I've also started working on other parts of the site as well, so here's hoping I can get more content up besides a couple of new pages ready for next week! Would all 40 Servbots get their profiles? Or perhaps those Kattelox Island inhabitants?

...You have a COUPLE of new pages ready for next week? Sweet, my hostage threats are starting to actually work!

Dashe: Would that by chance be the same "hostage situation" you mentioned a couple of days ago? And as promised, some concept art of the 'bad guys' today! As mentioned on the site, I have decided to not meddle with her basic design and just did a straight adaptation of her (at least in appearance?). No cleaned up full shot of her yet, though perhaps what we've seen in the games so far doesn't leave much to the imagination...

Yep. Get to the part in the comic where you get to see a solid shot of what Teisel looks like in RMDL and I'll give you a thing. I'm actually not too keen on seeing any concept art of him beforehand. Feels like cheating, you know?
The only thing I can say on standard Tron, now that I can get a good, solid look at them, is that her hairline looks more like her bangs have mysteriously grown incredibly short than an actual hairline. It's because you look like you're starting the hairs from the middle of her scalp and having it taper and fall like mini-bangs instead of like hair that's been pulled back. In her lab coat she gets these longer, messy bangs for sure. Assuming you're not bald, study the way your hair attaches to your forehead and you'll see what I mean. Hair starts from its root--don't forget it, otherwise it'll all turn out looking backwards!

Dashe: Noted, and thanks. Her default appearance was meant to have her hair pulled back and held together by her hairband. I goofed up the left one alright. How her bat hair stays like that will remain a mystery though, unless anyone has any fun ideas to share?

HF: In the 1960s, at least in America, women's hair did this weird flippy thing that kind of looks like what Tron's got, but more realistic. I use the term "realistic" loosely because the flip is very meticulously generated and hardly ever occurs naturally. Maybe you could start from googling "60s flip hair" (I just did and it's returning a lot of relevant results) and then work it into your style so it looks more like hair and less like bat wings. Real people make the best references for hairstyles, I've found.

Dashe: I consider the bat hair iconic, so I didn't mean that as a complaint. Though if nicer-looking 'realism' would work, how would scaling down the bat hair and angled lower to make it less bat-like seem to you? Or I can just go the other way and make her Juri from Street Fighter IV, which is cool too. Now how about that!

HF - I think I read your post wrong. I could've sworn there was someone who thought the bat hair looked weird. Maybe someone on Facebook. Though I did like the look on the right better when you asked which of the two we preferred in iScribble because it looked more realistic, so if that's helpful at all, then that's awesome. I wish you'd had it hosted back then a little longer, so I could give you some real feedback before closing the window because it wasn't actually my computer, instead of just noticing these things here. >_< I had to look up Juri to get that. That'd be...horrifying. She looks like 2013 VMA Miley Cyrus. I think I'd die. In a bad way. EDIT: I remember who'd mentioned they weren't fond of the look. It -was- Tuga on Facebook. And that Tony guy. That's where I saw that. And yeah, I'm somewhat inclined to agree that a more realistic 'do would suit your style better.

Dashe: Points taken. I just did a rework (over lunch) based on your suggestions and I'm liking it personally. I'll put it up later this evening; just glad to bring up Tron a little earlier since for contrast, Teisel's design is pretty much set right now (going to hold off the concept drawings for a bit as intended anyway).

As promised, the second iteration's just scanned and cleaned up! I think this works way better than giant bat hair. What do you guys think?

Oh yeah, that looks much, much cooler! Have I mentioned that I like it when you stray from the source material with this yet? Because I really, really do.
