Ahah! Looks like the next comic will have an over-exaggerated description of the Bonne family. More than likely, it'll be coming from a policeman's mouth.

Looks like I got Internet after all. A pretty good break so far; would share relevant bits after I'm back at the end of the week. Kyle: Really now?

Y-yes? You've been very faithful to the original character designs up until now. Surely the Bonne family will be no different, right? Right? RIGHT?!

I don't know why but looking at HF's preview of the next page on his avatar made me believe that it was Tron with cat ears and Tiesel with a MMZero ponytail.

Teisel's hair... omg... just... just... It's just so... pretty. ... Oh who am I kidding? Teisel went to cool, to awesome to KING OF THE WORLD in one page. (good thing that it's not a Zero-esque ponytail) There's something to be said about long-haired male characters. And while I knew that Tiesel always had his hair that long, leaving it undone like that just makes him awesome.
Who wants to bet that he's just going to drop the people he robbed out of the airship just liek that?

I'm with Tuga. Teisel's hair looks beautiful when not done in a ponytail. I'm kinda curious myself too; if Rock and Roll have the personalities they have now, then what is Teisel gonna be like...?

About freaking time! I wait and I wait and now finally I get to see the back of the Bonnes' heads. This suspense is, uh, suspenseful. I think I'm going to go into "not expecting anything" mode so I'm not clawing anyone's face off or anything pacing about and waiting to see the rest of 'em. >_>
I for one am a big fan of what I can see of Teisel's jacket. Or cape, maybe. I can't tell yet. From this angle it looks pretty awesome.

It looks... authentically manga spirited. I'll be honest, I've never really liked it when stories deviated from the original, but I'm forestalling any actual judgment until I see more. So far though, I have enjoyed the comic, mostly.

Teisel looks pretty dang extreme! I'm not sure how to feel about the hair though. Perhaps once he puts on his cowl-helmet thing it will be more my speed. Tron so far looks exactly the same!

I dunno, I think what he's got on now has more of a classic pirate vibe to it all across the map, and as far as I can tell, I like it. It gives the Bonnes a sense of piratical authenticity.

The "classical pirate" was technically only one of the pirate crews in the waters of history... in fact there is no real definition of "what a pirate looks like" just like there was no "wild west" ...But I'll agree that there is an expected attire for pirates. Though in all honesty I never saw the Bonnes as being traditional pirates in any sense. I think that's what made them who they are: their unconventional modus operandi. ...that and the fact that they seemed extremely disorganized.

Woah, that's a lot of replies for this update! Let's see... And while I knew that Teisel always had his hair that long, leaving it undone like that just makes him awesome. Nice to know! The hair came out a bit bigger than I hoped on this page, but otherwise it's what I imagine him to look like without his cowl from his usual appearance. If I wager something, would it count? I'm with Tuga. Teisel's hair looks beautiful when not done in a ponytail. I'm kinda curious myself too; if Rock and Roll have the personalities they have now, then what is Teisel gonna be like...? What I made him an actual barbarian, in contrast to MML2...? It's clear he can't be a purely fun character, but the change can't be too drastic can it? Ah compromises... we'll see how things will turn out! >_> I for one am a big fan of what I can see of Teisel's jacket. Or cape, maybe. I can't tell yet. From this angle it looks pretty awesome. Just glad I didn't disappoint so far! Well it wasn't the first time I've put him in a long cape and pirate outfit, as you may recall.I've always wanted to use this from the start of the adaptation; it seemed like such a good opportunity to exaggerate because it's cool. It looks... authentically manga spirited. I'll be honest, I've never really liked it when stories deviated from the original, but I'm forestalling any actual judgment until I see more. So far though, I have enjoyed the comic, mostly. Biggest complaint I've gotten was the art style; something which I've been working on to see what fits. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I've been trying to smooth things out as a compromise. From my point of view, straight adaptations feel a bit redundant as anyone can simply play the games for the experience. And we can't quite have 20 pages of Zenny grinding can we? Teisel looks pretty dang extreme! I'm not sure how to feel about the hair though. Perhaps once he puts on his cowl-helmet thing it will be more my speed. Tron so far looks exactly the same! I think that's what made them who they are: their unconventional modus operandi. ...that and the fact that they seemed extremely disorganized. Interesting thoughts there! Without spoiling too much (and mentioned earlier in this chapter), the typical "Air Pirates" up to now have been small in numbers and badly organized, thus being of little threat to the little island (been a battle of attrition by random encounters, mostly). How much damage and success The Bonnes would have this time is anyone's guess though!
