So you're going with the Akatsuki plot? I've never seen that coming.

So you're going with the Akatsuki plot? I've never seen that coming. Akawhat :u I think he means one of the bad guy factions from the Naruto series. Rockman Striker: Now that you mention it, that's an interesting way of seeing this! Hopefully the recent masses of text in these few pages hasn't alienated too many readers though. I'm sure a certain Air Pirate invasion would fix this soon...

Yeah, judging from those last dialogs one could think that the Pirates want to kidnap Rock to get his strength or something... Just like those guys in Naruto.
I have hope that you would never astray from the game's main plot, please don't let us down!

I have hope that you would never astray from the game's main plot, please don't let us down! This second faction would be taking a number though, as the Bonnes are next in line, and I did promise to give them a nice introduction. Of course... time will tell how this would tie in with these Digouter Adventures! Update: Read a few interesting theories on what this newly introduced (?) faction is and what they're up to so far. Anyway, here's the bi-weekly update!

Hmm. Tracer eh? That is a good concept of mapping an area... too bad that int he game you need to be in the spot for it to be mapped out... were they making an attempt at Metroid here? Because you can totally see what is around you and yet it is not mapped. I feel insulted somehow and my bad habit of mapping every single corner of the dungeons extends my play time. BADLY.

MegaTuga: Woah, you caught on early before I put up my surprise update! Now that you mention it, the map system does seem awfully like Metroid's... I actually replayed Zero Mission around the time I drew this page, and coincidentally found out that there was an explanation of the mapping system in DASH, so I took the chance to throw it in. Though the map we know in the Legends games are made up of square blocks, I can't help but wonder if there can be more advanced models of it out there; after all, Roll isn't the only machinist genius out there... Perhaps a more advanced model can identify thin walls, enemies, or maybe even old treasure lying around... (And the Compass from a certain game doesn't count) Anyway! It's been a quiet month hasn't it? Without any feedback, I still hope the recent pages haven't alienated anyone too much! For the latest page, I have tried using a more 'rounder' feel for the characters to make them a bit closer to their appearance in the games; nothing too drastic, though the new page was mostly a reintroduction to terms and perhaps more nerdy talk from Roll.

Well, I am that fast. Although truth to be said, I spotted the update on twitter before so I cannot take all the credit XD
I can imagine that the mapping system might be more advanced than what it is show in the game. Heck, since I talked about Metroid... I even bet that it is similar to the maps on Metroid Prime (I've only played Hunters but I've heard that it's similar in every Prime game)
As for enemies, I suppose that the spotter radar warning makes up for it. In fact, I think that DASH might be one of the earliest games that gives out a little warning about enemies around the player. I certainly don't remember any pre-PSone games doing that. But then again I am not a games expert so what do I know?
Also technobabble is always awesome, especially if it is said by a cute girl. (insert TVtropes page link here)
Now about the 'rounder' feel that you mentioned... I never got it before but it does make a slight difference. Making the characters look like they are not so 'edgy' as the story (haha, oh come one it is a good pun!)
AND LASTLY. I can't believe it took me this time to figure this out... Where the heck Roll got a PET? I am pretty sure that those do not exist in this time-frame. *wink, wink* Truly genius HF, kudos to you. Without knowing, the Servbots might be matter waves and we never knew.

I've been very pleased with the last few comics! I love all the exposition and your own flourishes on the story. You've done a great job with the characters. I must admit that the mayor freaks me out in every new page. She's pretty dang weird. I'd also like to complement how you have drawn City Hall inside and out, it's very nice.
I'm so impatient to see the Bonnes! All the dark figures you have drawn of them and the new plot line of them coming for Rock has me excited. Not to mention the helmeted Teisel (I think) on the front page! I can tell the relationship between Rock and Tron is going to be far more complex than it is in the game. I have a feeling she won't fall for Rock because of Paprika but for something else.

MegaTuga: Another reason why I think radar would be helpful for an Operator is when working in groups (non-escort missions like these should be fun). Drawing-wise, I'm still waiting for a chance to do an lower angle shot of faces just to get rid of that bad image of page 6 in my head... (@truner has been egging me on that for quite a while, some of you may remember) Also, glad to know the little nods to the series hasn't been left unnoticed (there's one more on that page, by the way). You know your stuff! Loken: Oh hey! Great to know you're still around! Thanks for the feedback again! The frontpage image? Oh, that's just a sketch of the Gustaff if it's reimaged for an appearance in RMDL (I can dream, right?). As for Teisel...

Also, glad to know the little nods to the series hasn't been left unnoticed (there's one more on that page, by the way). You know your stuff! Hmm... Now you got me curious... because the only other thing I spotted that was out of place was a weird-looking cube inside a box on the bottom right... and on the same panel another box with a familiar-looking logo... an inverted triangle.. now I might be imagining this but if it is this, it's either a NetNavi symbol or a Boss gauge symbol from Zero and ZX series (depending on their alliance the symbol sown is different.)

Funny enough on my side my notifications did mention that HF "Liked" my post on this thread but never specified which. I thought that he did that to different posts instead of all in one. But then again I received all three notifications at the same time...
