@ Mikey & Loken: While monochrome pages do save time, the extra amount of time used is not really that big (or so I feel about it up to this point).
The main reason for using both full-color and monochrome pages is to make it closer to a Japanese comic (which some authors use color sparingly as a form of emphasis on iconic scenes*, or as a rule of thumb when starting a new chapter). In addition to this, I have never used digital screen tones until Dashe introduced it to me earlier this year, which I adapted to this comic shortly.
* In this context, it can be easily summed up as "color pages = something important or big is happening".

Many American comic strip collection books use that method, too. In the comic strip's case, the color pages are Sunday Comics, which tie in to the daily strip in some way (though it may not actually be related story-wise).
I think it's neato.
This is awesome... I just wish I could turn my screen side-ways and rotate the angle so I could see these pages in all their full sized glory, lol.

@ Speculator: Unless you actually meant something else, it would be impossible to copyright a comic series which is almost completely based on another copyrighted material (let alone a franchise).
As for printed releases... though I have prepared for it, I am still unsure how far the international and domestic laws apply when it comes to (what is arguably) "doujinshi" (non-literal term for fan-made comics, if I self-publish). From what I understand, it would not be a big deal to companies if it is distributed as a 'one-off' thing (i.e. not sold on a large-scale all-year round)*. Keeping in mind that this rule is based on Japan's track-record, I am unable to logically say the same thing for American laws.
* Example: I send a supply of them to the next MML event in America to have it sold at its booth. As simple as this process seems, I am reluctant to take such an approach as I am unable to guarantee that no legal issues would be raised; it would be horribly irresponsible of me to involve the booth staff in a legal issue while I am potentially oblivious to such events while I am on the other side of this planet.
As for how I produce these comics, I use mainly Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to produce the finished products. More importantly, the endless cycle of practice, study, and application is essential to keep this up (cliché, but because it's quite true); let it be on paper, by drawing tablet, by theory (to drill it into your mind) and so forth.
I have only started taking drawing seriously about two years ago; as such, I am not certain about many things. For your sake (assuming you really are dead-serious about drawing), you will be better off learning from someone more experienced.
However; I'm all for giving well-intentioned criticism to other people's work (so PM me things you want to to have criticized), and I actually strongly encourage others to do the same for me, much like the feedback I got for early stages of this comic. In fact, I have always strongly desired criticism from others, especially if it meant posting regularly and updating a forum thread on top of the contents' homepage.
(I really should start compiling questions into a FAQ at one point)

Oh alright, so this should be something that could be shared with everyone? I guess it would be nice to get some credit for it even though Capcom owns the franchise.

But my point was that it shouldn't be a totally alien concept for western readers who are accustomed to reading comic strip books, or even newspaper comics in general. I really like the art style, although I was a bit put off by the adoption of the Japanese terms into awkward "Engrish" terms, like "digouter" instead of "digger", though. It just seems unnecessarily awkward, and unfamiliar to those who played the MML games in English. But other than that, it's a great work, and I almost see it as an official visual-novelization.

This is the kind of discussion-creating opinion that I would like to see more of, which would really help in making a FAQ. I do understand that it would be a mild form of 'culture shock' for those more familiar with the English games and having to see unfamiliar terms here and there (a glossary of terms would be necessary at some point, that I can acknowledge). Asides from the "source material" reason, there are other reasons why I have used the Japanese terminology as the foundation for this story (which some will become more apparent should the story go on). Another reason all together would be specifying terminology for an individual world; such as your example "Digouter" and "Digger". I chose the former particularly due of general unfamiliarity, and intend to define this term and distinguish it from the real-world term (though arguably similar in various context). Because the choice of terminology being Japanese is a "foundation", I have not simply ignored the terminology used in the English (US) release. Some of the names and terminology used in the JP release are derived from Japanese, or are baltantly so*. For example, the Japanese name for "Servbots" is "Kobun", which translates literally to "Henchman" or "Underling". In such a case and with some various justification(s), I have decided to just name them "Servbots" (which still translates well back into Japanese (more on this later), so it's a win-win situation). The same goes for Japanese-specific name extensions such as "Flutter-gou" (where the "-gou" will be omitted), and obviously Japanese-specific honorifics will be completely negated in normal conversation (unless intended to invoke it). And obviously; reading the comic with lots of "-kun" and "-chan" in conversations would be silly, let alone grammatically incorrect in context (it would be a problem if I come off as being Wapanese, nationally impossible or not). * Though I am unclear as to whether this is intentional on the developer's part.In other news, the Character List section will hopefully be up on the site sometime next week. I will make a small announcement here when it goes live.

(I may be unable to do all the checks tomorrow morning, so I am making an early update this week. But first...)
Though only a tenative decision, I will be ceasing direct showcasing of the comic on this thread effective this week. The thread has served one of its main purposes as a pseudo homepage to showcase the comic, and it has given me a chance to keep everyone up-to-date here. But now that the foundation of RMDL's main site is running well so far (not counting server down-times), I feel that double-posting the same main content is no longer necessary.
However, I am still very eager to hear your opinions, comments, criticisms (especially), and answer any questions any of you have about the comic and its supplementary content; all this support which I am thankful for. Though to be realistic, who knows if I can/will really continue this, making a homepage for it may have even be excessive of me.
But overthinking aside! As promised:
Update: Page 44 is now up and ready on the main site, along with the groundwork for the Characters Section now live!
Side Note: I had no idea RMDL's main site actually made it into the MMLS links section until I checked on a whim. Hm.

You know; you've been telling me so much about what you like about the comic. But are there not things you don't like in particular? Let it be the drawing style, use of fonts, colors, maybe something else? Supportive comments are nice, but I would like to know what people don't like about the comic as well, especially if they can be descriptive about it with examples.

Sometimes it's good to move to other places, but since you used this forum as a start, I suggest you to keep posting when a new page is up, and keep the first post holding the links to each page, or at least a link to the new site, this could be useful to people that sometimes forgets to check other sites, or are too lazy to check every day/week for something new.
About criticism, I remember I've sort of complained about your drawing style before, it's not bad, but it needs some work, I'm talking about some anathomic errors and that kind of stuff an artist should upgrade as the time progresses.
I don't complain about the japanese terms, such as Digouter, but I'm happy that you know when to use US version terms, as Reaverbots (I like how Rebird sounds, but I'm not sure if it's the correct translation of the katakana "ri-baa-do" because some translate it "Leebird" can you clear up this mess, please?) Be sure that when I found something weird I'll let you know!
