Hah, glad I pushed on the quicker shading when I found out the prologue was as long as it was. Otherwise you'd be still doing world exposition a year after you started! :17:

Well, it's nice to see that Rock has more than just two ways to pummel Zakobons so early on. I would have thought that the Hanmuru Doll would have come next, seeing as he pulled a ninja dash in an earlier page, but this works too. The speed of productions is pretty remarkable as well. Good call from Dashe.

Dashe: What you have been doing is a rare case of good executive meddling. :17: I need those occasional shoves in the right direction to keep things closer to practicality. Mikéy: I cannot think of a better way to demonstrate his physical(ly boosted) strength, really. Oh, and that 'ninja dash' was just the Zakobon/Horroko rushing up behind Rock to grab him...

*Looks back* Hmm... guess I misinterpreted that Zakobon as the Hanmuru Doll. Hopefully I wasn't the only one... Rock will be having the super smackdown with Han soon though right?

Wow HF your take on the Legends world is very action packed, I like it. I'm intrigued as how you will mix things up in later parts of the story.

Okay all of them are down but.... THE REFRACTOR?
This won't be good.

Update: In truth, the transition sequence between page 17 and 18 was quite different in the first draft: Having replayed the scene in my head, the Deflector was up in the air WAY too long for an action sequence which feels like it would have taken at least 20 seconds to fully play out (for this to work, the Deflector would have to be thrown around 98 metres in the air (assumptions made to obtain this figure does not take into account air, wind and material resistance, and also assuming Rock's throwing speed is no more than terminal velocity of Earth's gravity pull*)). * And yes, I just killed a catgirl; I will not let her death got to waste.

404 Not Found on page 18 HF. Your welcome, ha Rock trying to be cool. I get the funny feeling Roll won't be so pleased when she sees that deflector.

Hah. I do think the “oh sh-” slide concerning just missing the catch would have been the most epic Comic Relief in the universe. Honestly, it'd top the doorman scene from Shakespeare's Macbeth. and since when did physics exist in comics?

@ Avegodro: No, she wouldn't like it one bit. @ Truner & Mikey: Rather than the laws of physics, my main concern at time I was drawing this was challenging the viewers' willing suspension of disbelief. I did a few takes on it, and it just didn't work out in the end. I'll have to re-plan stunts like these the next time. :17: But I do agree; Rock's hand slipping/misjudgment and missing the Deflector would have been good relief from the action.

^ Seriously I laughed at Rock's face when he missed the refractor (yes I can't call it in other way XD)
Also: *buzzing noise with red lamp glowing*

I'm really most excited to see your dialog actually. One of my favorite things about Legends is the interaction between characters. I really want to see your reimagining of that.(and how kattelox looks)

@ Megatuga: I had to read that past part a couple of times before I finally got what you meant. Hah. @ Loken: There is a lot of extra planning ahead of me, for sure. But I have my ideas on my view of things, especially those useless police... Update: The Hanmuru Doll boss fight so soon? I think not! Well, I found a new method of working while drawing this page, giving me better control over the detailing and tones (FIVE TONES IN TOTAL (if you include black and specular white)). And I pre-schedule to have the next page up this Saturday morning, JAPAN TIME (so around evening for MMLS time).

He better hope Roll hasn't developed a stress-relieving weapon for herself. If so, I fear Rock's gonna have to change his name to Rocked. ;D
