Finally, the Cannam shows up! Good call making this a double week. We might actually get outside before the summer's through! For bonus perspective, there are currently eight more pages of Alternate Trigger than there are of RMDL. Kaitou, who to my knowledge is the only other person here who's attempted a comic, made two and a half chapters before stopping, adding up to about 25 pages total (some of which are no longer available onlne). Keep it up! Just a few more pages and you'll have the longest Legends fancomic the site's seen!

HF made me realize exactly how alike the reaverbots look if you take away the size of which they're built out of the picture. The close up on the zakobon in the Ninja Dash scene certainly LOOKED big enough to be a Cannam or Han, but fact is, they don't smile. At least not in such a simple design. If it were up to me, had the rest of the comic not hinted at it, I probably would have done the same thing. Mostly 'cause Han and Can both have the same "smile" structure, but anyways. Good work on the eye and ominousness this time around, HF. Don't forget to let the physics run wild in the next page. For some reason, I also feel that maybe if you wanted Rock to evolve to the "dark style" that you were aiming for, then the word "Relax!" could easily replace "Don't Worry!", but that's just a last-second thought in making this post.

@ Dashe: Even if it's going to be later than that, I want it to happen with a nice bang. @ Mikey: Yeah, the thing with comics is that panel spacing and position can play all kinds of mental tricks for storytelling and added/downplayed drama. Updated: As promised, mid-week update; now onto page 20!

and when the smoke clears... Rock pulls out his Gameshark'd Shining Loser! The physics check out so far. We need Rock bouncing off the walls more. Heh, anyway. Can't wait for him to KO those cannams.

Nice inclusion of 'Damn', it's a curse, but not a really vulgar one, which is good, and it shows the 'Darkerness'.

@ Loken: Though I am being careful with words, I never intended to forcefully make the series 'darker' just by its use of language. I chose to use 'damn' only because it fit the context, while similar phrases such as "Oh no!" or simply "No!" doesn't have the same strength of context. Plus, it's smoother for recursive translations.
Oh, and the latest page wasn't the first instance of 'damn'.
Edit: A late change here, but I chose him to say "damn" instead of anything else is a little nod to the only known 'vulgarity' (or is so considered back then) in the games. This is not counting Punk's clustered profanities however; that's just cheating.

Holy schmokes.. two of them? O.o
I loved how Rock covers his face when hit and only after the bombs explode. Nice touch.

The surprise attack, twin cannams, the bombs raining down and the wait for the smoke to clear. This is great, like how things are changed with your twists, mixes up things, nice work.

Update: Explosions. Explosions everywhere. Also, trying new levels of detail.

Well, that Cannam isn't returning to the ceiling anytime soon. I'm also really surprised the peashooter buster was capable of such a blast. Once again throwing physics into the wind! Hooray! HF, you never disappoint.

*whistles* The extra detailing is a nice touch there HF. Those Leebirds don't know what they are up against, almost feel sorry for them.

Mikéy: In some of the panels, the multiple sound effects are to signify several shots fired, but only one can be shown in one instance (while keeping it look cool), especially for close-ups. Avegodro: I had to do a double-take on why some call them "Lee-Birds", then found out that this was the actual romanization in Japan. Though I might have ended up using it, the name was originally derived from the word "reave", thus justifying the 'change'. Update: A couple of things this time, but most importantly the next page! Next, I ended up using the first panel's image, touched it up, and made a 1280x800 (16:10) Wallpaper out of it.

That is nice looking HF thanks!
So close to freedom rock, shame that those energy barriers get in the way.
