I'm sure most people here are familiar with Space Adventure Cobra due to a supposed live stream, but what about the actual anime? I recently discovered all the episodes, legally available to be watched on youtube (uploaded by the current distributor of the recent DVD release). I should add- its leagues better than the game was plot wise when it reaches the storyline for it. Cobra himself is more humorous and interesting. The anime stands up well for its age....heck, I even enjoy the soundtrack for it. So for those who are curious and want to legally support it without buying the DVD set, give it a shot. You may be in for a treat. Im towards the end of the series and don't regret watching it.

After much insistence from my friends, I am currently watching Chinese Electric Batman. Up to episode 5 so far, and I'm enjoying it plenty.

I was watching, up until the seasonal break, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders courtesy of HorribleSubs' rips and encodes. Now I'm going over the four episodes of Pokemon Origins until Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire come out, to get hyped for my return to Hoenn.

I just finished Hunter X Hunter 2011, at least to the end of Chimera Ant arc, which is enough for me. Especially considering how close it is to the hiatus after that and then the end of the anime. I'm not sure if I should finish it yet. I don't want to disappoint myself, I held in this show for the long run these past three years.
I recently binged Gravity Falls, and it's amazing, I love it. Mabel reminds me of myself except she's 12. though I have to wonder what that says about me. And I'm starting Over the Garden Wall, it's awesome, but it's a slow buildup so far? Still too hyper over Gravity Falls to stay on task. Ahaha!

Been watching Peter Pan and the Pirates, lately. I remember seeing this in the early 90s- the animation was pretty good, though mixed, at times (TMS did 12 episodes, and I don't know who did the rest, but the differences show, at times- there's 64 in all, I think). The stories were pretty good, considering not only did it expand the source material a smidge. One thing I really like how the characters were fleshed out. A few of the stories are surprisingly dark for its time ( themes on demons, ghosts, and even one taking a stab at the Cold War), but still kept a good amount of lightheartness, fantasy, and adventure.

Decided to buy the entire series of "Serial Experiments Lain" off of amazon and watch the entire series back to back from Friday afternoon well into Saturday morning.
Was that a wise decision? Ask all of the nonsensical scribblings that have been appearing on the walls of my room ever since, because they won't answer me! ANSWER MEEEE!

I've been watching an anime called Space Brothers recently. It's the story of two grown-up bros who are trying to go to the moon. The younger one's already an astronaut, but the bigger bro that the show is more centered on has been catching up after 40 of the show's 99 episodes. It's actually pretty funny since it's a slice of life anime as opposed to the usual energy beams everywhere stuff I used to watch when I was younger.

Ask all of the nonsensical scribblings that have been appearing on the walls of my room ever since, because they won't answer me! ANSWER MEEEE! "Wise" doesn't apply in this case. Especially when we are talking about Serial Experiments Lain. At least you watched it whole instead of what I did, stopped at episode 8 or 9 and forgot about it for two weeks until I realized that I still had to finish it. Needless to say that was not wise. And I am not sure if I want to watch it again (but since I like it, the possibility of watching again is high) "Parasyte: The Maxim" has been a fun ride to watch. especially since it scratches the face of the current society and deconstructs it... I love when I see a dark story twisting the ethics and truths we consider to be "right"... uh where was I? Oh yeah, Parasyte. I know it is based of an old manga, and it shows with the weird abilities and development of the parasites. It's like they tried too hard to make them as gruesome as possible without thinking if it was logical or correct... but what do I know, right?

I had recently watched Log Horizon and Log Horizon 2.
This is definitely what I had always wanted: how characters react, hope and deal when they had discovered they had been trapped in a game they had been playing. I alway like the fact that the reason why they're not one-hundred certain about what would happen is simply because the game had been upgraded the day before. While there are many main characters, I found them quite likable.
This anime definitely scored a solid 10/10.

I'm watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Part 3 - Stardust Crusaders again, now that it's resumed for the second half, the Egypt Arc. Soon one of my favorite chapters from the manga will happen, and it's going to be SO GOOD. Ever wonder how serious a game of poker can get? This series will show you first hand.

Currently watching "Your Lie in April", the tale of a former child pianist that decides to return to the music scene due in part to a young violinist he meets through two mutual friends. It is perhaps one of the most emotionally moving anime titles I have seen in a very good while. Wataru is a soulful character--all of his inner monologues feel organic, and he never falls into the usual pitfalls of 'normal everyday high school' protagonists. The rest of the cast are just as wonderfully fleshed out as he is, with the exception of a few recurring characters, but their presence do nothing to detract from the show.
I recommend this to any anime viewer that wants something fresh. A fair word of warning though: this show will mess with your emotions in horrible ways.

Not long finished watching season 3 of Monster Rancher, was nice to see an old series I watched during my younger days. Though wondering how much was edited out seeing as it aired on tv and cuts away from a fair amount of violence and the odd attack. A fourth boxset is being released for the japanese version, hopefully uncut so I can see the difference and if it does well then Sonic X will recienve the same treatment..again I hope uncut. ^^'
Also recently watched the first episodes of Monster Musume, Gate Jieitai Kanochi nite Kaku Tatakaeri, Overlord and Jitsu wa Watashi wa ^_^

I used to watch Cowboy Bebop whenever it was on adult swim and I always really enjoyed it. Actually the first time I watched it was in a lounge in the hospital my granma was in when I was like 10. I thought 'wow this show is about important stuff'. I bought the complete series and watched it all the way through for the first time recently.
It is a show about bounty hunters set to jazzy music. Each episode basically has something extremely depressing about it and always ends on a low point. It is a fairly upbeat show with upbeat music and alot of laughs at the same time though. It is adventurous. The crew meets new people and enemies every episode on various planets in the solar system. Typically everyone dies and the Bebop crew don't get any money. They are often starving because of it.
The show follows Jet, Spike, Faye, Ed, and the dog Ein. Each character has a couple backstory episodes and a major theme is getting over the past. If it isn't an episode that revisits one of the main characters pasts it is an episode that focuses on a bounty and their life. There is alot of commentary on what's important in life and about regret.
It really is the complete package. The only thing I think it lacks is more episodes since it is only 26 episodes long. Still yet there is something to say about a show being conceived with a beginning, middle, and end. Especially when there are so many shows that drag on and completely chanhe their stories because they are so long.
