I honestly didn't hear anything beforehand and coming across it was completely by chance for me. When I first heard Keldeo speak, I was all like "Oh god, where have I heard that before..." Then it popped into my head, I did a quick Wikipedia just to be certain, and my suspicions were confirmed. After I've watched it, I can't see anybody else doing a better job at doing Keldeo's voice, but it's probably because Vic has so much experience under his belt with being a Voice Actor. But hey hey, good to see you again, TronBonne!

Watched the Brave Little Toaster recently.
It was better than I remembered, and also more weird and creepy than I remembered.

This anime season I've been watching My Little Monster (Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun), Say "I Love You" (Sukitte Ii Na Yo), and Sword Art Online. My Little Monster is a love comedy, and one of the best love comedy anime I've seen in a while. Granted, I don't watch a lot of anime to begin with. It's refreshing to see a show that doesn't make use of jokes that have been done to death in practically every other anime. I think the voice acting is really well done too, which I don't say very easily for voice acting in Japanese nowadays. Say "I Love You" is also a love story, although it has a more serious tone than My Little Monster. It's a simple love story of a girl named Mei, who's been an outcast in her school since childhood, who starts dating Yamato, the most popular boy in school. I can relate to a lot of the things Mei experiences throughout the series. Even though the second season of Sword Art Online is pretty bad, I'm still keeping up with it since it's almost done, and the first season was pretty decent.

Re-watching Zeta Gundam for the first time in several years, only to be reminded why it is one of the best entries (if not THE BEST) in the Gundam Series. Ah, I watched Zeta Gundam for the first time this year. I agree that it's one of the best 50 episode long series even though there are a lot of inconsistencies and repetition in the plot that make the show ridiculous at times. Unlike most modern Gundam series, the battles are fluidly animated and exciting to watch. And the gundam doesn't stand out as the only one(s) who can end the war. In fact, the gundam can do very little by itself in the large scheme of things. But what I like most about the show are the scenes that reveal character. (Cinderella Four has to be my favourite episode.) I really enjoyed seeing the mature Kamille in the second half of the series who knows his responsibilities and cares about people and issues beyond just himself. While we don't get to see the same process of maturing that we did with Kamille, it was not any less heartwarming to see the adult Char work together with people who were his bitter enemies in the first gundam series. This Char is so much wiser, friendlier, and less certain about his abilities besides fighting, whether it be something small like making a woman happy or something grand like steering the future towards a better direction. Haman and Scirocco, who eagerly accepted their leaderships, are just much more difficult to relate to due to their genius and near infallibility. I know that the Char's Counterattack movie was probably not even planned at the time Zeta was made, but it was still interesting to see aspects of Char's character that make his sudden 180 into the tyrant in the movie much more understandable. When Reccoa shouted the exact same words in their battle that Amuro did to Char in the movie, pieces of Char's character began to fall together. No matter how much friendlier he may have have become since the first series, Char will always see himself as superior to others. Disentangling Char's character is an interesting exercise, but I better stop here and get back to Zeta overall. In short, Zeta has character development that many gundam series are sorely lacking. And the majority of the characters are more ordinary people capable of being inconsistent but also capable of growth, and they're what make Zeta interesting to me.

A few weeks back, I just finished watching the original Mobile Suit Gundam. I'd have to see it again to give a detailed analysis on it.
As for recent times, I've started watching Danger Mouse, having picked up a few of the seasons, over the years. One good thing about british animation was that it was usually kept to comedy, I found myself looking forward to the gags and blunderings of Penfold or Stilletto instead of DM's foiling Baron Greenback's plans. Out of what I'm seeing, ' Play it again Wufgang' has to be the funniest in my book, so far. ;D

Continuing on cartoons I used to watch growing up, Inspector Gadget was on a digital station in my area in the morning, so I decided to give that a go. Always liked how Gadget was just a complete fool while everyone else solved the crimes for him except on rare occasions. Thankfully, they didn't air any of the season two stuff because, seriously... Corporal Capeman? Oy.

Usually I watch between 10-20 anime shows per season (I know, right?), but this last season I only watched a few because I moved across the country just as the season started and couldn't catch up to anything on time. But I did watch Robotics;Notes, Chuunibyou, Sword Art Online, and Psycho-Pass. Well, Robotics;Notes and Psycho-Pass are still going. My anime listNot sure what I'll watch this season. There were some shows last season that I want to watch, like Magi and the second season of Medaka Box. Oh, and the second season of Jormungand. And Btoooom. And maybe K. And...and...and...SO MUCH ANIMES. You'd think I wouldn't have time for anything else, but you'd be surprised...

Started watching Magi, and it's just as awesome as I thought it would be. Usually it takes me 3 episodes to know if I'll like a show or not, but this got me at the first episode. I love epic adventure type stories, with various characters and locations and a large, underlying "underdog" kind of plot, so this pretty much satiates my appetite. Also, I can't help but burst into laughter whenever Aladdin summons Ugo, what with the awkward giant muscle dude prancing around. It's like I'm watching Muscle March or something. XD

Almost finished with the 1997 version of Berserk, and I can see why people called it poor justice to the original manga. While not downright horrible, lots of its animation feels lazy at times (with lots of pastel freeze frames in supposedly high action scenes) as well as having lots of its violence downplayed; in the case of the latter, it's notable as the violence in the series is a major part of its reputation. In a rare case of Old VS New animation, I actually prefer the recent film adaptation of the Golden Age Arc despite its heavy use of CG to portray large-scaled and detailed battles, as well as its powerful soundtrack. Final part of the trilogy is coming up too; I really want to watch this despite its foregone conclusion. Edit: Actually, it's missing this guy too. And that's terrible.

Trigun: Quite an enjoyable series. There were times when the comedy would at inappropriate times, yet I still enjoy it a lot.
Video Girl Ai: Good series, but the ending left me scratching my head and wondered if the ending was real or simply a dream.

I've been getting back into Lupin the 3rd, these days. The only things I've seen for a while would also be Saint Seiya and From Up on Poppy Hill.
I Just finished watching the 1981 movie, Grendel Grendel Grendel. Definitely interesting and a bit of food for thought when you're older and wiser..

I've been marathoning Bob's Burgers. It's a lot better than it looks. You'd expect it to be a conga line of pop culture references and lowbrow humor like Family Guy, but instead it actually has interesting plots. The music's great, too. Bob's son is really into composing and he ends up writing a ridiculous love duet about Thomas Edison and the elephant he electrocuted. Kristen Schaal (Mabel from Gravity Falls, Hazel from 30 Rock) is also in it, and she plays a sociopathic third grader who wears bunny ears.

Mirai Nikki (The Future Diary) Was quite the thing. I really don't know what to say about it though, but I can say that it was surprising. I was expecting a horror high-school genre and got a Survival genre instead. The ending was dissatisfying but good, and the OVA made a much better closing.
Also, Nisekoi. I swear that at all the time I was shouting (silently) for the protagonist and one of the heroines which had feelings for each other but never confessed and are too dense to believe that they like each other. It was nerve racking, I tell you.

Oho! I forgot this was a thing. Hmhmhm. *Cracks knuckles*
I watched the Baccano series for the (hopefully) final time last night. Both dubbed and subbed. For those of you that're interested, it's basically if Highlander met 1930s America. Amazingly, it looks to be one of those extremely illusive blue moon animes, because the dub manages to triumph over the original Japanese VA. Sadly, the show only ran for sixteen episodes, which absolutely blows because of its cliffhanger ending!
