Haed on over there and check it outI can pretty much sum it all up in a few short statements though, so those that don't have the time or connection to download the 50MB file, I'll help ya out. (not direct quotes, I really don't have that kinda time at the moment; PMM says they'll provide a transcript later, so yeah..) Question 1: Will there be more Powered Up/Maverick Hunter games? Inafune: Those didn't really sell as well as they thought they would in Japan. It would be a nice idea, but we don't have any plans at the moment. Question 2: Is MegaMan Battle Network 6 REALLY the end of the Battle Network Series Inafune: Yes it is the last version of the series, however we have a new one lined up, which we think you'll enjoy. Question 3: Will there be any other MegaMan Anime Inafune: We're still running the EXE anime in Japan and we plan to keep that going as long as possible. Question 4: Any more collections or double packs, or more ports like a MegaMan Legends collection Inafune: We're really not putting many resources into sort of game that at the moment. Lot of focus in Mobile gaming though Question 5: Any plans to release on the PS3 or the Wii Inafune: PS3 is the most expensive, so it may not be the best to release games on. We see a lot of potential in the Wii though. There you have it folks.. =/ I was looking forward to more Powered Up and Maverick Hunter games... and yeah.. a new Battle Network series, just what we need(though, I hope he was talking about ZX as the new thing, even though it's entirely unrelated). And of course, the anime keeps goin. Zero will be gone before that monster is.. >_> Not likely gonna see that Legends collection people were fantasizing about any time soon, but hey, at least the future releases will likely be seen on the Wii. I may actually be able to play them sometime before I die! Joy!

This E3 was a big let down in terms of Megaman News. Thoough he didn't directly deny a Legends Collection it's just as bad as to give the kind of answer he did.

What kills me is the fact that they may be working on another EXE series. That's a total drag. Considering part of the DASH Team works on EXE, the odds of a DASH 3 any time soon may be a bit slimmer. =/ I don't think we need a Legends Collection. A re-release of MisAdventures, most definitely, but the other two games have seen enough re-releasing at this point. I think MisAdventures may not have been re-released for the simple reason that it would be hard to run on any form of emulation - I know it's not easy to get it to run smoothly on any of the known PSX emulators. But yeah, honestly, a Legends collection would be like a slap in the face to me anyway.

GOD! Keiji is cofusing me. He's says he's ending the BN games but coming out with a new one....WHAT! Maybe it' a bad translation or something.
A legends collection would be a slap in the face but more or less I would probably accept one for now. Consider Capcom release a collection and does it does AWESOME so you'd think that would give us a new Legends game...but no. Look at the orginal games they still haven't gotten their nice little sequel and people will buy it like it's going out of style. We can only hope for right now and for the past six years.
Notice Capcom had there 3-good games that get sequels trio but BN is ending (still confused on that), Zero is dying and the X series is supposed ended (I think). So the next trio has to be ZX, legends, and Classic...I hope.

Here's what I posted in my duplicate thread which I started because this one was not easily findable. "Planet MegaMan apparently talked with Keiji Inafune at E3, and he said that PS3 is apparently not the platform of Mega Man's future. In the short interview, he said that PS3's target audience isn't the one which would most appreciate Mega Man, and that Wii is more what he's looking for. Here's the link if you want it: www.planet-megaman.com/index.php?subaction=showcomments&id=1147733773&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1&Hopefully, we'll see MegaMan 64 on the Virtual Console download service, and even more hopefully, we'll see a sequel to said game on there, too. Although that may be somewhat difficult, as the other two games in the series were only on PSX. But why not hope for the best irrationally? While he didn't talk about MegaMan Legends specifically, he did say that the PSP ports of Mega Man Powered Up and Mega Man X Maverick Hunter haven't been selling that well in Japan, but didn't mention the MML ports at all. But, hey, at least there're Servbots in Dead Rising." There you have it. Yay!

My apologies. Honestly, I thought I was posting it in General Video Games Discussion.
I hadn't even considered the possibility that MegaMan 64 would be released on the Virtual Console. That would certainly be a nice treat. Pity, if they really wanted to release DASH 3 on the Wii, a Collection might be necessary, which Inafune's pretty much denied the possibility of. I bet they could work it out if they wanted to though.
rage, what he means is that the Battle Network series is over. As in Lan and co.'s story. They can just as well make a new series, same style, same idea, following another little brat and his netslave.

I kind of hope that it's over, because there have really been enough of those games, over fifteen if you count all the different versions and Battle Chip Challenge.
MegaMan 64 should be on the Virtual Console, because I would figure if Capcom was going to support it, why not go all out? Also, it's like their only N64 game, anyway.

I kind of hope that it's over, because there have really been enough of those games, over fifteen if you count all the different versions and Battle Chip Challenge. ...along with 11 X's (Counting Command Mission and Xtreme 1+2) and 11 Classics (Counting Power Fighters 1+2 and Megaman & Bass), but only 4 Zeros, but they completed the story arc on all of them (Classic, however, was left somewhat open-ended) And yet only 3 from Legends, with an uncompleted story. I fear the Megaman franchise as a whole is starting to fall apart, and this latest planned installment isn't very encouraging yet. All we can hope is that this is merely a slump or the series is merely being given a break after so many universes were being maintained at once. (X, Zero, and BN were all being made at once) You know something, it's probably gonna be Battle Network X that comes next... I can see it now... In the future, the little devices that people use to surf the net have been given a nearly human-like intelligence. Known as RePETloids, they have been designed so that they are not entirely bound to the job of simply being a navigator. A young boy and his RePETloid "X" must fight off maverick viruses and the dreaded Sigma Virus in Every. Single. Game... And so on, and so on, and so on...

uhhhh...rePETloids...? Cool. another little brat and his netslave huh pitch...Why not do... "Lan gave Megaman to another kid.." But that's a bad idea isn't it? Lan's not going to give Megaman because still Megaman is his brother....OLDER brother. But hey I want this series to stop. They have been concentrating finishing it but they haven't finished legends..lazy people..

There's still the tokyo game show to hope for- And I didn't know there were servbots in dead rising! Thats so cool! Any links or pics?

Herefor the Dead Rising pics. Yeah, I'm surprised the Powered Up and Maverick Hunter series didn't sell well. It's most definitely the most effort I've seen Capcom put into a game in a long time.

Oh my god... man, they had the perfect chance to ask for Legends 3; to let Inafune know that there is a potential market for that, and just because it's a sin not to do it, but they didn't ask it.

They've asked about Legends 3 before, twice. It's no big deal that they didn't now.

They have? I was about to agree with cidhighwind and go into a unnecessaraly long rant expressing my raging anger toward the journalists for not asking about legends...
..um..
-Twice too? Wha'd they say?
