Nah, you're out of your mind. If they're not going to release it for 21 years, they're simply not going to release it. I really don't think they're just "teasing" us as you put it, because they've been very consistant this past year. With next year as DASH's 10 Year Anniversary, I really doubt there's not some thought going into what they're doing apart from "Hey, let's make fun of the DASH fans!". It's all coming in steps, we had the cameo first, the re-release of the games, and now a potential direct connection - assuming this "Project Heaven" pans out - in one of the games. It's incremental. And with everything else pretty much dying down, it really comes down to ZX and Legends. It may be a bit soon to start thinking about the sequel, but it's definitely not the time to put the idea aside.
You're a very pessimistic one aren't you.

I don't feel this way anymore, at least not after strolling thorough memory lane (In the form of reading 300 of fab's old posts).

I just hope they don't turn it into a side-scroller, because all the new Mega Man games seem to be 2D platformers, now.
Also, speaking of Battle Network, I don't think it's selling that well. My store only sold two copes for 5, and we're not even ordering 6.

They wouldn't make it a side-scroller, especially when the big "hype" (if you could call it that) during the initial release was that it DASH was the first real 3D Rockman game. That just wouldn't make sense at all.

I agree with Pitch, 2007 seems like the year for a new DASH. But for different reasons- I mean Capcom has practically worn out every type of genre with Megaman, platformers, puzzle, stategy, turn-based. They have least touched upon Legend's genre, which is an action adventure, rpg hybrid. Legends is the only game where you get to control Megaman in a 360 degree space, so why wouldn't they try to expand on this area? How many more platformers can they make? Zero, X, Megaman, ZX, are all basically the same type of game, they cant keep making new franchises with the same concept. Legends is the only way to go.
Also like I said before, Dash 3 would most likely be released on a portable, seeing as development cost would be dramatically lower as compared to for consoles, and considering that Capcom wont spend too much money on an uncertain franchise.
>>>Oh, and also! Can anyone find out the DASH PSP sales figures? And the scores that Famitsu branded them? My search yeilds no results...

I disagree, because if there's one thing Capcom's known for with Megaman, it's that they never let something die, even when it gets old. The logic's there, but so is Capcom. I think the signs they're actually giving us are more concrete in arguing that 2007 will be the year of DASH.
Again, too, I doubt it would be for PSP. Development costs and recent re-releases, whatever. It's a home console game; MegaMan's very rarely stepped the border of home console and portable console in a single series. There were the series of MegaMan games for GB and Powered Up(GBA MegaMan and Bass doesn't count, that was a straight port), the two Xtreme games and IH: X, and one Battle Network game on the Cube. The GB MegaMan's were good, Xtreme who cares, and I often myself forget Network Transmission even existed, and evidently PU/IH:X didn't really do so well either. The transition is rarely kind. If they wanted the game to sell, I doubt they'd put it out for a portable.

I like Network Transmission. I think the DS is a viable enough platform in Japan that Capcom may actually consider making a 3D Mega Man game for it, but it's not a done deal, or anything. Plus, on DS, they could almost re-use the original graphics and everything (although they might or might not).

No matter what everyone says, I hope RockMan DASH 3 or any DASH sequal comes out for at least PS3. I love Legends, but not too desperate as to get a Wii just for it. I want to stick with one console, which is Playstation.

When all's said and done though, you'll probably be able to get 2-3 Wii's for the price of 1 PS3($200-250 : $600), the difference - in the case of a DASH3 for Wii ($350-400) - could cover the cost of the game for you, and probably at least a few friends. In the case of a PS3 release, not only would you have to pay out of your arse to afford a PS3, but the game itself will probably cost quite a bit more than a Wii game, too.
Probably why Inafune doesn't like the idea of MegaMan on PS3..

Inufane may not want it but, Capcom is Capcom. It's all about money, and if they can make a buck porting it to all the consoles, they'll do it. Trust me on this, there will be a Megaman on the PS3, in some form, whether Inufane wants it or not.

From what I understand, Inafune certainly does have some say.. Besides, A Wii release would be much more convenient, for the DASH market anyway, because who's going to pay more for a long since dead series? Apart from anyone here.
There will likely be a PS3 release, but there would more than likely sooner be one for the Wii. Besides, cheap imitations aside, it wouldn't be easy to port a Wii game to PS3; PS3's motion sensing isn't nearly as extensive as Wii's.

How much support is Capcom giving for PS3, anyway? I think Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4 and that's all I know of, right now. I think what's really going to matter is how many people buy which console. I really think that MML is better suited towards Wii than anything else right now, but like I've said before, I'll buy whichever console it's on.

Uhg. Things are looking bad for any chance of a Megaman game being released on the PS3. www.kotaku.com/gaming/capcom/mega-man-creator-weve-only-hit-60-of-360s-capacity-178268.phpInufane is really lovin' that 360. Although the Wii, PS3 and 360 all have that equal potential he speaks about, Inufane seems to be leaning toward support for the 360. This isn't a bad thing if you want a 360, but for people like me who have an entire library of PS1, PS2 games, getting a 360 doesn't really make sense..

AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm going to Keiji house and kicking him square in the (censured by the FCC) This guy is driving crazy. (not like I ready am) He said he liked the PS3, then the Wii, and now the 360.You know what he should just he loves the N-gage too. I've given up, when hear Keiji went to the hospital on the news, you know I did...I kick him square in the (censured by the FCC) (I just killed the FCC guy...MUAHAHAHA) Capcom should just say (beeep) it and release it on every system...even the N-gage. Then everybody would be happy.....I think. As long as that money making coorperate pig Zero isn't in the game, I really don't care what system it comes out for I'll just "borrow" the system form a friend. (angry eyes)

I don't remember him ever mentioning liking the PS3... o.o
Honestly, this is what happens when Generations switch. We've only dipped our feet in the water so far, there's a long way to go, and the decisions will be made on the long term, not when only one of the three consoles has been released. You can for the most part ignore anything they say about the available consoles at this point.
