I can't think of the other time, but I remember sometime this past year, maybe even as long ago as last year, they asked what needs to happen for a DASH3/Rockman 9, and some Capcomian fellow said some garbage about sending Capcom letters and stuff. You know, a typical, "Oh yeah, we'll get to it eventually. When we think the time's right." Yeah. Lies.
I can't think of the second one, but as we all know it was in the Anniversary Collection thing where Inafune mentioned wanting to make a sequel. I think there was another one though.

I'm kind of wondering that myself. I'd be happy if they brought Namco X Capcom to America. I heard they're re-releasing it in Japan.

Didn't happen to hear that from me did ya? ^_^; Yeah, it's supposedly due for re-release in Japan in about a month and four days(6/29/06). GameFAQs says so anyway. Of course, NamcoXCapcom is a Namco game, so that's completely out of Inafune/Capcom's hands.

DAMN YOU NAMCO! Your know my hit list now, right after Zero. MUHAHAHAHA Wait what... yeah yeah back on topic.
Yes, I remember the Capcomian fellow...I think. Don't we have a theard like that here about lets send Capcom (beep) loud of e-mails and then they'll make sequel. I'm going to assume we gave up on that.
Yes, it would be nice if Namco x Capcom made it to America but sadly I bet Namco of America thinks it's going to do really bad....(forbidden word)

There are a number of characters in Namco X Capcom that haven't seen the market on this side of the globe. It would be a bit awkward to release it and have people asking "Who is that?". Just like it'd be strange to release a Legends 3 over here without re-releasing the other two(and MisAdventures, but they may be unable to do that). It's all right; I'm sure there's some kind of translated script out there. You can probably find someone online with the game and an understanding of Japanese if you really wanna know what goes on. It's not at all canon, so it really doesn't matter.
Most of us have given up on the "Email Capcom!" thread. We all got a bit psyched when Capcom was actually giving some responses, but more of them didn't get replies than those that did, and the replies in question were - while very much sincere - pretty hollow. I actually have my suspicions that it was all a sham, but very little basis for that.

*Sigh*...
Oh well, guess we just sit here and wait along with Trigger on the moon until Legends 3 is announced.

Yup, that...sucks.
You know what they could do with Wii? Make an "Arm Cannon" attachment for the remote, so you can actually aim like MegaMan! Or, barring that, you could just tape the remote to your arm with duct tape. That'd rock.

If they make a MegaMan game like that, that's totally what I'm going to do with the Wii-mote.
I'm sure I'm a broken record by now, but things actually are really looking good for the year 2007 for a DASH3. Zero and EXE are OVER! No word on a new X game any time soon, evident poor reception of the Powered Up and Maverick Hunter series... All that really leaves is ZX and Legends! I'd say we've got a good chance for that sequel this coming year..

Sure, but let's not jump the gun. Also, the whole system issue is still there, a little. A sequel might stand a better chance of coming out on Wii because of the smaller development costs, but technically it is a PlayStation-centric series. Honestly, though, I can't see Capcom dropping the bucks on a whopping PS3 game unless it's a guaranteed seller, so that doesn't seem as feasible.

Hardly jumping the gun, the pieces just keep falling into place. For instance, AimMan pointed something out to me today. See, over at Atomic Fire, Fireman noticed that on the back of the ZX box, a "Project Heaven" is mentioned. Now, as we all know, Elysium was falsely translated from Heaven( z1,000,000 says they don't falsely translate it here, though), so there's a good chance that ZX may end up being the link to DASH we've all been hoping for - beats the hell out of being linked to Zero, eh. Now I'll admit, if and once DASH is tied into, Capcom has no requirement to do anything with it, in fact, they could pull an X7 on us and just keep ZX going, straight on into inconsistency. But if that is such a direct connection, I wouldn't doubt something was coming our way soon. People seem to believe that a DASH3 would be for PSP. I really don't like the idea, because even though the most recent re-release was portable, it's very much a home-console game, in my opinion. It just seems like a bad idea. Plus, they can release it for whatever console they want to, and simply re-release the games again. They've proven themselves to be unhesitant to do so. It pains me to say it, but I'd venture DASH would see release on the 360. Because, I doubt they'd put up the cost to release it for PS3, and I doubt they'd give it any creative thought to put it out on Wii.

I'd be 100 percent on-board with a 360 game, but that doesn't seem to appropriate, as the 360 is DOA in Japan. Although I admit Capcom is heavily supporting it, regardless, at the moment. And PS3's humongoid price might convince more Japanese to get one. Anyway, I'd definitely buy one no matter what system it's on, but, like Inafune said, Wii is most likely MegaMan's new home.

Well, what threw me was that in their question, they didn't even include the 360. I'm all for it if they release a DASH3 there, but I'm not gonna have one of those for a while. Of course, they won't release DASH3 for a while either, so I guess that kinda balances out.
I just wonder, they may see the potential in the Wii, but I don't really think they see the potential in Legends. It just seems almost logical that they'd go the middle road with that one..

I don't think we're going to get a Legends at all this generation around. It seems that Capcom has put it on infinite hold, and will do anything to put it off. I expect we'll see one when the PS6 comes, and that Capcom is just going to hype/advertise ZX this year.

I think you're way off, because generation ten is like... Well this one was about seven years, 21 years away then. We'll pretty much all be in our thirties by then, some even in the forties. They're not gonna put it off that long, and besides they should hype ZX if it's gonna be the tie in. Hype ZX this year, DASH3 next year. It fits together pretty well.

As I said, Capcom's probably going to put it off for a long time. They're just teasing us with all these links and rereleases. The thing they'll hype is its relation to Zero and X, but that's it. No long-awaited sequel this year. Or the next 21+, for that matter.
