I recommend sending the letters to Capcom of Japan instead of COA. Here are the Japanese E-mail Addresses, Dashteam@capcom.co.jp and webmaster@capcom.co.jp Because: 1. Any and all games made from Capcom is developed in Japan and they usaully have a final say on any and all projects. 2. Majority of American subsidiaries/divisions of Japanese companies actually have little power on actual development projects that are being developed in Japan, aside of translations and Localization. 3. More and more companies from and in Japan are actually focusing more on the North American audience and they would like to hear responds from that audience.

Yeah we've all pretty muich figured out that CoJ is the better bet when it comes to talking about a DASH3. However, it would be nice to storm CoA for additional effect, and boosts chances of seeing the ports over here.

Wow. Those guys DO speak English! Time to whip out my good old pencil and paper and draft an email! I'll post it here when I'm done, and you can tell me what you think of it!

If someone hasn't already, we should point fab to this topic. Maybe tell 'im to send that mail he sent before again. I oughta be working on my letter too. Semi-absence or none, this seems pretty important.

Maybe I'll try to round up the people at the Interordi to send in as well. I can't promise success though. There's not really a surplus of Legends fans over there, but it's a Megaman board still, and a pretty good one.
Should I start writing one myself?

Everyone should write one, but we should try to keep them intelligent. ya know, not "OMG! I ♥ dASH!!!111oneoneone"(which is why I think we should have a page explaining what to do and why).

We should also inform other DASH sites or general Megaman sites to support this. Maybe we should even inform the Japanese DASH fan community about this!

Who here has seen The Shawshank Redemption(SP?)? It's a really good movie and in it a guy sends one letter a week to get funds so he can upgrade the library in a prison. He does that for like 2 or 3 years and they finally got tired of him and sent him a bunch of books and money. You think that would work in real life? Except we all send one a week.

Did anyone else read Mr. Keiji Itsafune's interview on IGN? I saw it at the Interordi. In it he mentions only specifically Megaman: Powered Up (Rockman Rockman) and Megaman: Maverick Hunter X (Irregular Hunter Rockman), but he does say that the creation of new follow-up games depends entirely on how well the game sells overseas. Therefore, as he states, if the two newest revamped remakes of the Original and X series sell well, there may be more in the future. Perhaps the only way they'll jump on creating more Legends games is if the PSP re-releases sell well for that as well. He doesn't mention the game in his interview, but I'm certain that the rule applies for that series as well. Hrmmm.... But I can't think of any ways to make more people buy the game... Here's a link to the interview: ps2.gamespy.com/articles/651/651835p5.html

Well, I've gone and done it...I drafted my letter. Tell me what you think of it!
To CAPCOM and the Rockman DASH Team:
I have been a Rockman DASH/Mega Man Legends fan since 1998, and since then, I have purchased and beaten every single installment, including The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Ever since I beat Mega Man Legends 2 in December, 2000, I have been waiting for a third installment. I have been waiting for nearly half a decade and so have many other DASH fans around the world.
I understand that when DASH was first released, gamers often argued that he “wasn’t Mega Man” and therefore shunned the game simply because it wasn’t what they were used to at the time. Despite the memorable characters and amazing plot, DASH was still a major deviation from what Rockman fans were expecting, and this disappointed many.
Ironically, a few years later, after the Game Boy Advance’s launch, another Rockman game was released called Rockman.EXE. This new installment deviated even more from what gamers considered “Rockman.” It didn’t fall on the Rockman timeline, the battle system was nothing like those in previous Rockman games, and throughout nearly half the game, gamers didn’t play as Rockman at all. Yet somehow, American audiences not only gave it a chance, they welcomed it with open arms, and today we have seven installments of Rockman.EXE (counting the GCN game and Battle Chip Challenge). If American audiences were able to embrace the concept of Rockman.EXE, they should now be able to adjust to DASH without much complaint.
Out of every Rockman series ever made, I believe that not only is DASH the most underrated, it is also the greatest. Its characters are far more developed than the other installments’, and the storyline far outshone those of the other games. The DASH series was the only Rockman installment in which I actually found myself empathizing with the characters. Rock and Roll are far more developed as characters in DASH than in other games, and the Bonnes are truly irreplaceable. The voice acting is also the best I have heard on the Sony Playstation, without question. Although I have played many, many Rockman games, I’ve yet to discover one which has managed to surpass DASH’s quality.
I am not the only one who wishes for Rockman DASH 3. The DASH series has a large, dedicated fan base even here in the United States, and I am sure you are all aware of the massive quantity of fans in Japan. There are at least a dozen US-based Mega Man Legends Forums and websites which I am aware of, and everyone who visits them would also like to see the DASH series continued. Rockman DASH 2 ended in a big cliffhanger, with many loose ends left dangling. Will Rockman ever return to Terra? Tron and Roll are both in love with him…which one will he choose? What exactly is Bon Bonne? If DASH doesn’t continue, the world may never truly know. Even Keiji Inafune himself stated that he would like to see another DASH game.
Although I know CAPCOM is a very busy corporation with many franchises to work with, with the PSP releases of DASH and DASH2 (which I would also like to see translated into English), I believe that now is the ideal time to consider developing a DASH3. It’s sad to see such a wonderful series remain idle for such a long time, and even though I know you have lots of other projects, I, along with every other DASH fan in the world, would sincerely appreciate it if you consider reviving the Rockman DASH series.
Thank you for your time and consideration in reading this letter, Dashe (I’m gonna put my real name here, but I’ll use Dashe for now!) The United States of America
That's it...my masterpiece. Is it any good?

You forgot a few EXE games if I'm not mistaken(Rockman.EXE WS & 4.5 come to mind). Of course, those were Japanese only so if that's what you're going for, then I think you got it. >.<
It's pretty good.. I just have one question though? A dozen DASH forums...? o.o Where?
