This is nothing-related nothingness and you should all ignore it. Especially Dashe. And fab.
But you should all pay attention to THIS ONE:

Musashi: That's how I did it. I started at a community college to take care of my core classes, and then start on a major. Then I transferred those credits to university- it's saved me a lot of time, trouble, and headaches.

I just did a bunch of spring cleaning. Pretty amazing how much stuff I can pack up in an hour.
One step closer to going home~

I've been going the community college route as well, getting my core classes taken care plus a CG Art certificate program they offer (learning Maya, Mudbox, Photoshop, etc). It's a heckuva lot cheaper than a 4-year, and the classes have been good quality in my experience, so it's definitely a good way to go if you can. It's getting harder to get into, though, at least where I live. There's this wacky system where people who have accumulated more units get earlier registration dates at the beginning of each semester. Great for them, but with so many classes being slashed thanks to California's budget problems, people just starting out have trouble getting anything at all because every core class has a waitlist a mile long by the time they can register, forcing them to take filler classes to build up units before they can take the classes they actually need. So yeah, community college is great. Or at least it would be if the state government could get its issues sorted out.

I took 2 years in community college, earned an Associates', and am now finishing my 2nd semester at a 4-year college. I think the experience was pretty nice; I got to take classes that were of a high quality and cheap, plus I think I have a more variable knowledge as opposed to the average college student, having experienced different college styles and all that. Living on campus and commuting are 2 different animals, the latter being pretty interesting as I didn't even have a car my first year. You experience some interesting stuff while using public transportation...
At any rate, I still have another week left for exams, and then I'll finally be done with this semester. I've got so much work on my plate that it's not even funny, but it's getting done bit by bit and I'll finally have a chance to relax for a change. :15:

@hank Yikes. I was about to go get myself a Debit card so I can download stuff for my 3DS without having to go out and buy 3DS Cash Cards; I guess I should reconsider now. (Yes, I know that article wasn't about Nintendo, but still...) Massive congratulations on 1,000 posts, fAB! I sent you a PM already, but it deserves to be said once more.
