I aim to get to 1,000 one day. Without spamming.
I can do it, because I have no social life... (at least for the next week and a half.)

Good luck with that, Hank! You'll probably have to post at the same pace as Loken to get there, he's only been here since like November and he's pushing 1k already. I wonder if anyone will ever hit 5,000.

I'm going to predict that you'll probably reach 5K long before any of us will.
Consider it a hunch.

Well, I didn't hit 1k first. Or 2k. Or 3k. The odds have been against me for the last five years running.

I intend to hit 66 posts. With this post. I set my goals in reasonable increments.
Assuming Legends 3 goes well, SOMEONE will hit 5000... trust me. Heck, even if it goes poorly we'll still have at least 1000 posts each of complaints and arguments!

Keep in mind that I've only been around since Saturday, and your post count is the highest I can recall seeing so far.
Regardless, I'll be rooting for you to hit 5K first!

Chron has a whole day on you, Hank. Edit: Aww, thanks for rooting for me. Watch some dark horse pop up out of nowhere and beat everyone!

If there'd be a dark horse, it'd be me, because I am an avid browser of forums in general. As evidenced as my 800+ posts in the devroom (before I ragequit), despite only having been around since February.
So.... May the best poster win?

You experience some interesting stuff while using public transportation...
Ain't that the truth. Flat tires, constant inquiries about my art class portfolio, lengthy late-night bus stop conversations about old Star Trek episodes with complete strangers, finding an MS-DOS 6.0 startup disc laying on the ground... and my ride is only 10 minutes. I probably won't be hitting 1000 posts for quite a while.

Wow, your commute sounds far more tame than mine was. Of course, my ride was longer than 10 minutes since I had to take 2 buses to get to school. All kind of crazy stuff happened on my commute, such as unruly passengers getting escorted off of the bus by police, the truant high-schoolers smoking marijuana at the bus stop, getting cussed out by a random kid because I was looking in his direction, and a parent yelling at the driver b/c he was hitting on his daughter.
Having a car now is great because I can get to places faster and not have to deal with the drama of riding the bus. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the interesting occurrences that happened, though.

I always biked to school. It was about five miles from downtown and I had to go through the slums. The only problems I ever ran into were the occasional tire blowout, and when cops would pull up and tell me the light I was using wasn't bright enough for regulation. In retrospect I probably should've pulled the light off until I could find a brighter one, because I'd never been pulled over for not having a light at all.

Ha, one Chistmas I really, really wanted a bike, I bothered my mom for it for months. My uncle Troy (of MML3 fame) taught me how to ride it and I has having a blast... until I realized I lived on a highway and had no where to bike to, surrounded on all sides by cornfields. All my friends lived close together in town and rode bikes together .

Only 4-5 hours of sleep a day for the past weeks, and all I have to answer to are the dolphins.

"ARE YOU READY TO BATTLE, BROTHER? MACHAMP'S RUNNIN' WILD, BROTHER!" Alternatively, that's Bruno from the R/B & G/S/C Elite 4. Obligatory Pikachu picture, 'cause everybody's doing it:
