Started watching baseball and sports in general in 1989. While I've had hometown teams win a championship before, it's never been one of my favorite teams. I got my Cubs World Series win. Now I just need the Blues to win a Stanley Cup in hockey.

Anyway, I got out early this morning to vote. Took over an hour to get to the booth, but it was kind of an important ballot to fill out here that I didn't mind the wait.

Certain people on 4chan's Pokemon imageboard, /vp/, have managed to acquire Pokemon Moon early. These include noted hackers and dataminers SciresM and Kaphotics, who helped develop PKHeX, a save data editor that now works with all six previous generations of Pokemon games. As such, there are spoilers abound the internet and Twitter, so please, if you don't want to be spoiled about the games, don't actively look for that information. STAY AWAY FROM THE INTERNET IF YOU HAVE TO.

Hell is having mental illness and getting into a nervous panic because there's perfectly good chili and you don't have crackers for the chili, and there's perfectly good Fritos in the fridge but they belong to your roommate and you just resign yourself to not having chili because you're afraid the roommate will say no and get pissed off that you even thought of asking.

Been busy most of December with stuff at home, out and about, or with videos. Don't think I've forgotten about this place. It's just this time of year is always busy for some reason, and this year's no exception. It's all good though, so peace, y'all.

...And I would take Kirby since he can brew up some mean concoctions. Mario created his own mess and pops pills to combat it. That's going to bring up those expenses in a big way.

So I went to the movies in an attempt to watch Disney's "Vaiana" but I was on a time limit so I wasn't able to view it. Then back home I decided to look it up only to find that Vaiana is not the original name but "Moana" instead.
I was really confused because I thought that heavy localization was beggining to get less of an issue these days (aside from untranslatable titles), like, did you know that for the longest time the first "Die Hard" was known here as (literal translation from "Assaulto ao Arranha-céus") "Skyscraper Robbery"?

I looked up if there was a reason and... there was. A famous italian porn star from way back which has the same name. So European children wouldn't accidentally stumble upon old adult movies, the title was changed. There's also a registered brand but I highly doubt it was because of that.

Great... Carrie Fisher passed away, and now her mother Debbie Reynolds has joined her in the afterlife.

2016 has turned out to be the worst retelling of The Aristocrats that I've ever seen. From Donald Drumpf winning the election with Russia's help to losing Carrie Fisher, Gene Wilder, and so many other celebrities I like, not to mention the bullshit over the Dakota Access Pipeline this year and other news, this year has been a bag of Dragon Dildos. And knowing the universe, it can only get even worse before Sunday comes...

I ended up having to leave that desk job. Turns out the boss was legitimately crazy. I'd be surprised if that place were in business next year, to be honest. At least now I have enough of a cushion to last me a while, and hopefully I'll be splitting rent with Mr. Ninja for the foreseeable future. He'll be moving in with me to try and find some work, too. Hopefully not at DeskCorp. I wouldn't wish that place upon anyone unless it's under new management.

I sort of want to know how the boss was crazy with that last post. That's too random not to ask.

Well, among other things, he's not only smoked weed in the office, he's done so with his baby in the room, too. The only time he ever talked to me (and there are really only about five people max in the office at once at any one time) was when I'd compared something to dropping acid, which prompted him to describe to everyone how to actually do acid in great detail. He talks like a Sim when he gives instructions and beat up a dude at the Christmas party. He also has the misfortune of being one of those people who refuses to both say no and hear no. He never reads anything he's given to sign, either. I'd kind of like to know what sort of person actually approved a business loan for this guy.

Dashe, how does a man like that even function correctly in today's society? I'd like to know. He doesn't sound like he's remotely human at all.

I'd like to know how he manages, too. I mean, he can barely manage a business. I'd like to know what bank said, "yes, this guy seems very functional, let's approve this business and make him rich enough to have a house and new cars!" when there are much better people out there who can't get past the poverty line. Maybe he bribed them with drugs.

Or he knows the right person. Here in Mexico is better to know someone who can help you get an awesome job than studying hard to get the job you want. This is specially dangerous when you realize most of the policemen didn't even finished primary school!

Or maybe he's just another one of those out of touch people that just so happened to fall into a life of luxury. Heck, we have a lot of those people in this country today! Never cared about being filthy rich. Honestly, what's the point of having power or fame if you screw over everyone to get to that point or don't pass your knowledge on? That's how you end up with peeps like that, the "success stories".
