Well, Crystal Pepsi is officially out in stores, and I've had one. And yes, it is indeed how I remember it from the 90s.
Which is to say, it's much better ice-cold, like every cola. I can only hope Pepsi brings it out more often in the future.
I don't think it'll come to UK shores, though, so you might have to import it in that case from your reputable dealers.

Been playing more games lately since I now sadly have a little more time to. MN9 is still whatever with traces of fun, Kirby: Planet Robobot is great, and I think I'll either play Strider on the PS4 next or just wait until Dragon Quest VII comes out later this month. Yeah.

Kirby: Planet Robobot is absolutely fantastic and a worthy successor to the Kirby main series. I bought the Smash Bros. Kirby amiibo and the NFC Reader just for that game, because it unlocks Kirby's Smash Copy Ability in it. I also love the Kirby's 3D Rumble subgame on there, which I swear could make an excellent solo release like Kirby Fighters Deluxe or Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe if Nintendo and HAL Labs were to do so. In other news, one of my favorite comics, Atomic Robo, has a new Kickstarter up for people to peruse and promote. It's for the hardcover release of Volume Ten, Atomic Robo and the Ring of Fire, which was recently released on their website for reading online, along with the latest volume's pages. But this particular Kickstarter also has a very fun reward tier that gets you a plush replica of Robo's head, perfect for your modern-day drama recitals of Hamlet With Voodoo Zombies or whatever morbid displays you wish to tickle your fancy.

Crystal Pepsi wasn't a thing I'd tried before, but I did get a chance to give it a try. Now I know why they stopped making it. It had an undeniably weird taste about it. I won't be missing it in another 20 years.

I was always more of a Coca-Cola or Dr. Pepper guy myself, now the diet variety since I don't need or want the sugar.

Well, Nidhogg II, the sequel to the smash hit Atariesque fencing action game was announced today and got a trailer. I dunno what people might think about this new art direction they're going with in the sequel, but personally, I dig it. It hearkens back to old Windows 95 or Amiga PC games in a way, or like a later-era SNES/early Playstation-era platformer. I wonder, though, if it'll include toggles for the old Atari-esque sprites the original game had, because some people on the internet have been... very very vocal about their dislike of the new art direction.

Hmm, I might have to go digital with Gunvolt 2 to start since the Striker Pack isn't at my usual store for now. I can order that one online later this month but not at the moment. Not a big deal.

I have a job interview of sorts today. It's for a janitorial job at a Food Lion not too far from my home; part-time, 15 hours a week. It's the first job interview I've done in almost two years, as well as the first job I've been eligible for in that time. I hope my background with cleaning services like Servpro comes in handy... Wish me luck!

Fatman X. Jones remember to stay confident of yourself, try not to look nervous or anxious, wear formal clothes and present yourself well shaved or with a nice looking beard if that's your style. Everything should be OK if you're completely sure you'll get the job.

I hope the interview went well for you.
I have a dentist appointment later this morning. Gums have been feeling a little tender the last couple of weeks, and that's never a good sign.

Well, I think I made a good first impression, and they said they'd be back in touch with me for a second interview, so I've got my fingers crossed.
In other news, my sister got a new TV last night, and gave me her old one as recompense, so I now have a very nice 24-inch TV in my bedroom.

I've got to get back out there and get another job myself now. I had quit my last one due to the terrible hours, little pay, and just being burnt out. Hoping your follow-up goes well!

Map inaccuracies are a weird thing to think about, but apparently one Japanese man is trying to solve that problem. Hajime Narukawa of Keio University's Graduate School of Media and Governance in Tokyo has developed a new map format, AuthaGraph, which claims to be the most accurate map format to date. The design recently won Japan's 2016 Good Design Award as proof of its supposed superiority. [source via Mental_Floss]What do you guys think? Will this new map format make you change your mind about Mercator projection? Will it see widespread use in schools? Or will it fall to the wayside?

Give me a little time to think about this as that sounds very neat. Right now, I am too focused on the fact that the Chicago Cubs are World Series Champions again at long last that my brain cannot process anything else.

To accent that, it took them 108 years to do it. That's as many years as worldly temptations on the wheel of Samsara.
So the Cubs have literally achieved Nirvana.
