Okay so let me give you my schedule for tomorrow: until around 15 o'clock: have a nervous breakdown with the possibility of forgetting to pack something. 16 and a half: take a bus and worry about the precious contents of the sack in the cargo bay. 17:30 - wait. 21:30/22:00 - arrival of second bus, again worry about the contents of the sack and pondering whenever I should make conversation with people. Dunno what time - arrival at the hotel, and after that stay awake all the night because before conventions I just can't seem to go to sleep.

Richard Simmons totally employs proper warming up in Sweatin' to the Oldies 4 (otherwise known as Sweat and Shout). Enjoy the con, Tuga!

It seems to me these days that you can't have internet ballots or video game awards shows these days without them turning into popularity contests. Last night's The Game Awards is a perfect example of that, and how to buy the awards from them instead of legit winning them. The only ones I can say were legit wins were the Best Multiplayer and Best Shooter awards, which went to Splatoon, and even that's arguably Nintendo buying the wins. It's depressing to see.

Here's the thing... I can't even really go for a game of the year deal because it's not like the 7th gen where I had access to all five consoles and handhelds. I mean, my favorite games the last two years were on handhelds. 2013 was The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and 2014 was Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
This year, and I looked at this earlier, I haven't even played ten games from this year. I don't own a PS4 or XB1 and have no intentions of getting either in the near future, so any games on those systems would be rendered irrelevant. I haven't even played Splatoon yet in spite of owning it on the Wii U, so my pick is current Yoshi's Woolly World for whatever that's worth.
I don't watch award shows or even read GotY lists usually, but I was directed to one, and most people in 2014 just discounted everything Nintendo did in the same way I'd discount Sony or Microsoft so far. If you don't play it, you won't know about it! Anyway, GotY stuff is silly. Go play what you want and if someone tells you GTA IV is the best and you're stunned or agree, cool.

On the subject of GTA, GTA V looks absolutely amazing and fun, especially the online mode. All the different races and competitions people have cooked up for it, especially with weapons enabled, look like a mature-rated Mario Kart game to me. I've been watching Hat Films' and BlueXephos' GTA playlist series and they make it look so fun, and I'm not even that much of a GTA fan at heart. It's hilarious to think I'd be interested in this sort of premise, but I find myself intrigued nonetheless.

It's good to hear that their community is decent, after what I've been hearing. Apparently hackers are running rampant in that game and Rockstar isn't doing much about it. On the subject of Rockstar, they evidently also pulled a shady business tactic last summer during the Steam sale and raised the price of their game but discounted it to where it was the same price as it always had been just for the sake of them having a percentage tag throughout the duration of the sale.
Last I looked, the majority of the reviews on the front page of the game in Steam reflect this.

Leaked photo of Santa's Permanent Naughty Plaque. As usual, it reminds me of what I have to look forward to this year. I better clear room in my chests for the coal.

Oh, look. I'm in the clear this year. Goodie, does that mean I can get that Truforce X that I always wanted?

It's pretty good, but there are a few cheaters that will try to ruin the experience (no more than any other game). That said, there are plenty of fun missions and a few larger, multi-part missions called Heists to do online. It depends if you can find a group of people to play with more than anything.

If I ever get a copy, I'm probably going to just dive in and be the guy that runs around everywhere, pushes any and all players they encounter, and yell "TAG, YOU'RE IT" into the mic as obnoxiously as possible.

Did I ever mention working through the weekend sucks? It really does. And after that, these people want me to come back Tuesday (a day I was supposed to have off) to work through to Thursday, leaving only Monday off for me.
...
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
12 hour shifts too.

Just focus on the money. All of that greenish, rectangular money. Or the check representing it, since all that money's probably been in a lot of dubious places over the years.

Mikey, you sound like you're getting worked harder than my mother, and she works night shifts at McDonalds. I swear, she has the patience of a saint to put up with that kind of work. And she walks so much on the job; she's told me her total steps usually count up into the 15000-20000+ range (she keeps track with her phone). I feel so bad for both of you. ;_;

I forgot to pack my sandwiches tonight, so I had to order a couple slices of pizza from a minit mart and the nice old lady only made me pay for one of them when I mentioned them. funfunfun
It's reasonable why they're having me work again on a day off; people are quitting left and right because of the fast pace of the job and due to how long the shift is. Love-hate relationship right now.
I'm just glad the break room is so nice.

So I've been keeping tabs on the GameFAQs Annual Popularity Contest, and it seems as of this post their golden calf, Ocarina of Time, is getting dunked on. Toby Fox must be dismayed by his little underdog game.
