It's kinda bad too; even I'm planning on buying Undertale by Christmas, regardless of whether it goes on sale or not. Granted, even thinking about such a well-made and wildly popular game going on sale when it's already at a reasonable price is absurd in itself, so I've finally beaten down my will to wait for that convoluted scenario.
So... yeah. Plus the game is a third of the price by default when compared to Ocarina of Time. The news is pretty hilarious, but unsurprising. xD

Yeah, I've seen a certain subset of users on that site flipping out over it. I won't vote on that thing since I've only played Ocarina. Personally, I think A Link Between Worlds is my favorite game of all-time, but I need to replay it to make sure. It basically takes A Link to the Past and adds a bit of non-linearity to it. Man, I loved that one.

We're kind of starting to lag behind right now. They also seem to be erratically changing the poll art for both sides. Either way, it's fun to watch SaltFAQs argue amongst themselves.

So many kiddies voting. Legacies probably don't care enough. I smell a bit of 'newness bias' in these polls.

I'd vote Undertale just cuz Nintendo needs to get knocked off of their throne for awhile.

Well, Undertale won, and I'm glad. And the Smash presentation was cool too. I'm glad Bayonetta's coming to Smash, her combo system fits perfectly, and Cloud's mechanic of charging his Limit Break and changing his moves at full Break reminds me so much of Gabranth's playstyle in Dissidia Final Fantasy. Corrin, I'm not too happy about, but I'll let it slide.

I'd vote Undertale just cuz Nintendo needs to get knocked off of their throne for awhile. That happened in the character contest the other year when Draven (League of Legends) won. But yeah, it's a silly contest anyway, and it was nice to see something different win. In fact, the whole poll was like that because it's almost always Ocarina vs. FFVII, but FFVII got knocked out by Melee, I think.

Well I just read the most awesome news. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their 2015 inductees, and Deep Purple has finally won a place among them. This completes the Holy Trinity of rock and metal bands who have been inducted, standing up there with Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. I couldn't be happier!
So a Mountain Dew early release program has revealed this year's upcoming DEWmocracy promotion, where PepsiCo produces flavors of Mountain Dew to purchase at stores, then vote online to see which becomes a permanent staple. So far, the winners have been Voltage and White Out, and this year's contest proves to be the most difficult decision for long-time Dew drinkers like myself. Primarily because it's a contest between the two most beloved exclusive flavors: Baja Blast versus Pitch Black.*sigh* STANDING HERE, I REALIZE THAT YOU WERE JUST LIKE ME TRYING TO MAKE HISTORY
BUT WHO'S TO JUDGE THE RIGHT FROM WRONG WHEN OUR GUARD IS DOWN I THINK WE'LL BOTH AGREE
THAT VIOLENCE BREEDS VIOLENCE BUT IN THE END IT HAS TO BE THIS WAY

I gave up Dew in 2008, but you have my sympathy.
So, Blyka just led me to this article about GameBoy Tetris and capitalism. www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/01/weirdness_conceptual_artist_attempts_tetris_world_record_as_a_metaphor_of_capitalismNot interested in the subject, but I was surprised to see the claims regarding record high scores. I'm an avid Tetris player who still pulls it out once or twice a year (GB Version only). I've been wondering for a looong time if my records might not be the best in the world, but I've never been able to find a definitive answer. If NintendoLife is correct, then Uli Horner holds the record at 748,757, and they're claiming the Rutherford guy in the article has the second highest at 614,094. My own highest scores, which have thus far exceeded the 600k mark 10 times, are all higher than Rutherford's, with 666,466 as my highest. Of course I play on my GBA SP or DS Emulator instead of the ancient GB, but still, it looks like I might rank second best in the world! Don't want to sign up at NintendoLife just to brag, but I figured it couldn't hurt here among friends. My hat's off to that Uli Horner though. Just, damn...

I rarely ever breach 100k in my Tetris playthroughs. I think my highest scores generally peak somewhere in the 50k-55k range. Of course, I usually play Tetris DX via my PSP's MasterBoy emulator or my 3DS' GameYob emulator, and Tetris DX has the unique ' feature' of being able to climb blocks back up the playwell with the rotation system, but those are my personal quirks. When I actually put forth - effort- though...

I've intentionally avoided playing video games for the most part to start my year. It really is time to buckle down more in real life instead of trying to pretend my problems aren't there.

Tetris? My attention span's too short to get very... Oh look over there, a car. I think I'll go buy it. Seriously, though, I'd get on documenting that score of yours, fAB. Go break 600k and submit the proof. You know how people are. They're all, "Pics or it didn't happen!"

Pics it is, then. Here are my two best on emulator along with my best on GBA (8th overall) with cartridge visible. And I do have video proof of that 666466 as well just for good measure, since Photoshop's such a thing these days. Of course, since posting I looked up Uli Horner's name and it seems a lot of people claim scores in this range, so, oh well. Not so special after all. ;P

Those scores just scream primetime, when the cosmos align perfectly and you get all the blocks you need to clear 4 rows at once so friggin' often. And it's a full moon with a solar and lunar eclipse happening at the same time.
Since the first score's ten times as good as the second and third, anyways. Lol

Since the first score's ten times as good as the second and third, anyways. Lol Heh, it's not quite as primetime as it seems; those second and third scores are all 5-digits because as soon as you hit 6-digits you get the celebratory rocket. I tend to soft-reset to save time rather than watch a celebration of the fact that I came all the closer to a high score but still failed.
