I had an appointment with my psychiatrist recently to get my prescriptions extended, and I found out that I've lost 40 pounds since March! I'm now sitting at a nice 290 pounds; not really healthy, but I'm getting there. I've been cutting down a lot on my sodas, drinking more water and juices, eating more healthy foods like grilled chicken and fish, eating salads, and getting out every day I can to walk up to the mailbox and back for exercise. Hopefully I can keep losing the weight, so I can be a bit healthier. I'd like to be somewhere around 220 pounds, to be perfectly honest, so I'm still a bit like the name "Fatman" fits.

This Sunday that just passed, my roomies decided to go to Costco and buy fruits and vegetables by the truck load, which they then proceeded to lay out on the dining table to slice and place into ziplock bags to store away in the freezer. Later that evening one of the girls said "We're going on a smoothie diet, so all you need to do is cook for yourself". Yes, I am the person that cooks every night for two reason: 1) Everyone else's cooking sucks. 2) I'm a pretty damn good cook. (I'm actually saving money to go to Paris with my aunt so I can take a culinary class there.)
Anyway, I told them "Pshaw! I'll take the smoothie diet with you guys!"
To which she asked, "Are you sure?"
"Why not?" I replied.
Dear me of two days ago,
I'm waiting for someone to summon me through the throne of heroes so I can venture back in time and murder you. Go drown in your ideals.

That is not sarcasm.

So google released a free phone app that basically does what Occulus Rift does... Since phones are actually pretty stout these days, I'd say its valid competition. (I messed with it, it is a lot nicer than you might expect. It tracks smoothly and accurately)
For more information, look up 'Google Cardboard'

Dashe This is excellent news! Momma always told me if I put my mind to it, I could reach the top! Now, as I refuse to get up to get something, that top has stayed out of my reach for a long time, but now someone has gone and brought it to me! This...is teamwork. This is what we should all be striving for...cooperation between nations to achieve goals.

Eating cornbread is weird in that you'll be masticating it, enjoying the sweetness until the detail crosses your mind that the cornbread you're eating is indeed made of actual corn. Now once that detail comes to the forefront of your thoughts, the sweet bread you were eating just a moment ago turns into nothing but sweet corn and every bite thereafter shall taste like nothing other than sweet corn.
I hate it when my mind does that. It kills the guilty pleasure of munching on the stuff. That aside, there must be a reason why Final Fantasy XII and Xenoblade Chronicles are both some of my favorite RPG titles of all time. Perhaps it's the English voice track...

Dogs always bark at me for some reason. If I ever had a job interview hinge on whether my potential boss's dog liked me or not, I would be really, really screwed. The only animal that's actually shown me affection, ever, has probably been my mom's neighbor's cat. That cat was allegedly very hostile to most people, but all it ever wanted to do was follow me around and cuddle my leg. Must be an eastern thing since you're in the east. Around east-Tennessee, EVERY dog everybody has, is seemingly raised to be an attack dog. You could be a mile away and once they see anybody who's not their owner, they'll violently and angrily bark at you thinking you'll get on their owner's property, when i'm just going to the bus stop to catch my therapy for my OCD. I have no intentions of stealing anybody's crap, especially since almost all my neighbors are meth heads and hardcore conservative jesus freaks. Usually both. The nicest pet in my area is my upstairs neighbor's dog, but even then she'll try to attack you when her owners are away. And she keeps running into the woods. Because her owner is a meth head and a prostitute who beats her during her bipolar meltdowns. While throwing pans and yelling at things that aren't there. One time she thought Elvis was there, and was frantically trying to get one of her family members three states down bailed outta jail while worrying about Obama taking her down.

For corn bread, I can't get past the gritty texture. For the RPGs, I own but haven't started Final Fantasy XII, and actually finished Xenoblade. I liked how Xenoblade managed to surprise me, but I didn't like walking around collecting the blue shiny things and then finding out that it was actually impossible for me to collect all of them because I didn't have enough Energy Aubergines to trade.

I didn't like fighting a sensibly leveled mob, only for a level 84 event monster to crash the lvl 28 brawl like a drunken aunt at a Thanksgiving party. On the subject of bread, Hawaiian Buns are absolutely delicious, and I should probably stop eating so much bread or I'm going to get my gut back.

Final Fantasy XII is fun once you realize the Gambit system isn't just an autopilot. It's surprisingly nuanced for a character control system once you unlock a majority of the triggers used in it. It's also fun once you realize there's some items that can really make the game easy when you unlock them. For instance, an item called the Nihopalaoa (pronounced nee-oh-puh-low-ah) equipped to one of your characters reverses the effects of items they use, but makes sure using those items has 100% accuracy. Combine this with Remedies once you fully unlock the Remedy Lore licenses and you've got a character who, when using Remedies on enemies, can inflict every harmful status effect in the game an enemy may be vulnerable to, 100% of the time. Phoenix Downs turn into one-touch death dealers on enemies. Another fun one is to equip a character with the Main Gauche dagger and any shield. It ups their evasion to insane levels. Combine that with a cast of the Decoy and Reverse spells on them, and you've got the perfect distraction; Decoy draws all enemy attacks to a character, and Reverse causes attacks dealt to them to heal them, while healing them damages them instead. A character under this effect draws fire and keeps drawing fire even when hit, so your other two characters and whatever guest you have at the time can wail on the enemies. Final Fantasy XII is one of my favorite games in the series.

My biggest problems getting into FFXII are A: the characters. none of them interest me. and B:Gambits seem like a third of a gopher. Only enough to arouse my appetite without bedding it back down again.
If you're going to make a game with user generated AI, I want FULL control. I want to define the exact number of meters or gridsquares distance a character will allow a mob to get before moving, I want to define exact angles of incidence for a character to determine whether they need to start strafing around. Set up unique tactics for different monsters... but I suppose that's likely because I'm more interested in the AI aspect than... any of the other things that are likely to be going on in the game.

It took me about seven or nine episodes (I really haven't been keeping count), but I think I finally understand Adventure Time, or maybe it's because at around one in the morning I'll easily find humor in just about everything. On a totally related note, the little ditty that was being sung on the Marceline episode during the home search sounded oddly familiar--the melody anyway.
Yeah. I found an excuse to utilize the word 'ditty'. Doesn't happen everyday. Doesn't happen ever, actually.

I done a bunch of other "in a nutshell" videos. Most of them are NSFW due to content relating to violence and language, so for the sake of the kiddies and Lieberman worshipers you will have to find them yourself. You can find my channel through the MML in a nutshell video I linked.

After stumbling across Steven Universe I finally know what's the deal with Dashe's avatar. The character in question, Pearl, seems to draw some influences from the character Utena (The titular main character of "Revolutionary Girl Utena") with her leimotif being a piano piece just being one of many references. That aside, I do love me some Steven Universe! I'm discovering a lot of good shows this week.
