Pearl reminds me of a Teisel/Tron mashup. Which, unlike the Utena thing, they probably weren't deliberately going for. The whole "Looks one way, personality is actually the complete opposite" thing usually gets me into a character. Steven Universe is such a good show, though, that no matter what you tell me your favorite character is I'd probably say, "That's a solid choice." Garnet seems to be the most popular in my circle of friends.

Well, Garnet has the whole cool exterior vibe with the posh accent, and she takes the lead role so I suppose that is to be expected. Going into season two, I'm going to have to say that Pearl stands out as my favorite if only because I've found her neurotic breakdowns strangely endearing. It clashes with the elegance of her character, so that might be another reason.
Amethyst is a cool character too. I like the whole brother and sister relationship she has going on with Steven.
That aside (I do that a lot in these posts), my smoothie diet ends in two days, at which time we will all celebrate our steel will to starve ourselves by going to a cool new Peruvian restaurant that opened up recently, thereby making these last two weeks all for naught. Allow that irony to sink in while I smother myself with a pillow and laugh as maniacally as my lungs will afford me.
Mmm. Bloodborne....

You put it in THIS thread, though? For shame! We have that News and politics section gathering dust!

Lets talk about pizza.
Here recently I have had absolutely no interest with any kind of meat pizza. Pepperoni is way too greasy and I have never liked sausage.
So now I am eating like vegetarian pizza and maybe with chicken. I really like tomatoes as a topping. Pizza gets alot more interesting when you throw out pepperoni and sausage. The down side is that most vegitarian or non-meat pizza has the alfredo cheese sause which is okay but I perfer your standard marinara.
What brings this up is that me and my fiancee ate the pizza hut buffet. The problem then is that meat-lovers type pizza is by far the most popular variety along with basic pepperoni. There wasnt really a non-meat option so I didnt quite get to enjoy the buffet bargain.
So the moral of the story is that buffets dont have a huge selection.
So has your pizza tastes changed recently?

I alternate chicken/onion/bbq sauce pizza and pepperoni/mushroom/sciracha drizzle pizza. Both are good and I couldn't pick a favorite! I used to ready a lot of Papa John's, but I finally had to admit to myself that it's just too much heavy eating. Now I do pizza hut's online carry out deal mostly.
I see a Steven universe discussion went on a ways back and I'm late to the party, but I'm high on the series right now! I've been binging every episode I can get my hands on since some time last week or the week before... Which has been the majority of the over sixty something episodes available. I'm pretty obsessed to the point that I'm thinking of starting a fan comic series soon! I've begun working on the cover and will show you guys once it's done.
It's one of those cartoons that sucks me right in, thanks to the combination of loveable characters, the sense of humor, and just the general feel-good vibe. I just wish I'd tried it earlier so I wasn't playing catch up with my dvr.
I'm a Pearl fan foremost, although I like all of the characters, so I'm trying hard not to end up with too many Pearl centric jokes. We'll see if it works!

I'll put about anything on pizza but pepperoni or seafood. Pepperoni, to me, is like the vanilla option for pizza, even more vanilla than plain if that's possible, so Volnutt and I don't agree on pizza toppings at all. I like pizza with pesto sauce, chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, olives, onions, and banana peppers.
Pearl is the best, Steven Universe is great, and it needs its own thread in the animation section. Whoever makes one gets a pizza.

I like having a wide variety of meats/veggies on my pizza. I don't know why, but something about pepperoni and sausage just flows so well with pizza; they compliment the sauce and cheese so nicely that I can't imagine leaving them out. Ham and anchovies are good too. Veggies-wise, I think spinach is a really under-appreciated pizza topping. Tomatoes, green pepper, olives, onions, and broccoli are all solid choices.

I just finished eating a pizza. It had spinach, chicken and tomatoes on it. It also had marinara on it. Last time I got this one it came with Alfredo sauce. I've got to say I actually like the Alfredo more.

Dashe spits the word 'vanilla' as if it isn't in fact the best and most popular of all flavors for a reason. I like my pizza with pepperoni, Asiago, feta, and herbs.
I like my sauce with no identifiable particulates of any kind of fruit or vegetable, and I will not eat any food using peppers for flavor. Peppers have a loathsome flavor. (Capsaicin is not a flavor. I LIKE capsaicin.)
Crust should be firm enough to support the weight of toppings and strong enough to fold without tearing. Any pizza under 18 inches in diameter will need to be extremely cheap or the most mouthgasm inducing thing ever created, or it will be disregarded or relabeled as anything but pizza.

When it comes to pizza, I'm the guy who puts pineapple on mine. I absolutely love Hawaiian pizza so much. I'm also fond of this one frozen pizza they sell at Wal-Mart under their Great Value line of food, a chicken bacon pizza with ranch sauce, it's pretty nice. Most of the time, though, I'll settle for a Totino's PartyPizza because it's personal-pan sized.
If I'm buying fresh pizza, though, I always, ALWAYS swear by my local Little Caesars and their Hot and Ready Three Meat Treat. Eight bucks for a large pepperoni, sausage and bacon pizza, plus a couple bucks more for garlic butter dipping sauce makes for a great lunch or dinner. I always hear from my friends that they dislike Little Caesars, but I have no idea why; they've totally come about in recent years, making all their pizzas hot and fresh in the stores. I've sat there after ordering pizzas in my local LC and watched them while I wait; they use fresh sauce, fresh dough, fresh meats and cheese and they always come out amazing.
There was this one pizza Little Caesars had for a while, a pretzel-crust pizza with cheese sauce and pepperoni, that I really liked.

I don't typically post in the Random thread, but I've suffered a heart breaking injustice today. Cheese is expensive in Canada. It's how it's always been, and likely will continue to be. Breaded mozzarella sticks - the sort you might get in a restaurant like Denny's - come in rather small boxes and cost an arm, a leg, and your first born. They're also delicious. Got a box of 10 of them, bring them home, crack open the box and find... ...six! Roughly half the advertised amount! It's like the grocery business is taking cues from my old ISP!

Lots of good pizzas out there. Sausage and pepperoni, check. Spinach and ricotta cheese, check. Veggie, check. 5-Cheese, check. I'm not really too picky when it comes to that sort of stuff. I miss one that was called Grilled Chicken Caesar from Palermo's. They ditched it a few years back along with a couple others. Shame since it was pretty dang good.

Well since everyone's talking about food...I decided to go out on a limb and try spaghetti squash since I'm on this low carb kick. (Yes, that's a crab leg up there)The stuff surprisingly tastes good, and makes a great stand-in for actual pasta. You cut the squash in half, bake it, and when you scoop it out with a fork it's all spaghetti-like. I added some tomato sauce, ground bison, pepperoni, mushrooms, and I was all set. @ Chiz: Wow, that's the first time I've seen that happen. Usually it's something like getting less chips in the bag than you'd expect, but if you see a specified number you tend to feel pretty safe.
