Somehow I wound up with kangaroo jerky instead. But yeah, I'm totally game for fresh produce, too.

Kangaroo jerky? That sounds good actually... Most recent uncommon meat I had was shark, I'll have to box a few kangaroos to try that stuff out though

It's decent enough. Really lean, though. Probably from all that jumping they do.

I had shark when I was in kindergarten. Also, a few years back I had goat tacos. They were delicious.

I had curry goat in Jamaica, and man was it good. Shark sounds like something I'd want to try...

If you come to Mexico you should definitely try out "jumiles" (or Stinkbugs as you may or may not know them) they're sometimes dried and eaten on a tortilla or turned into soup or salsa, I have to admit I've never tasted them but that's because I don't know of a good place where to find them, but that doesn't mean I don't have the guts to eat them... they're dead after all. Here's a pic to whet your appetite: www.chicagoreader.com/binary/6ead/1381768744-jumiles.jpgI'd like to try out iguana and deer too, although kangaroo and shark sound yummi XP

Ten days from now marks seven years since the day I was screwed over by my county school system. In ten days I will be a very miserable Digger.

What's so special about the seven-year mark? Is it an Ocarina of Time thing?

Ah, school's out for the summer! Finally!
I'm probably going to go somewhere with my mom on vacation and play the new Smash Brothers when it comes out. I'll also have to try to find another PS2 because my friend told me that the disc reader was shot, but that shouldn't be hard.
What are you guys doing over vacation/the summer in general?

Job hunting so I can have all the government money for being unemployed XD
So yeah. I had a job until last Friday. For some reason I'm glad. I was an IT technician at a City hall working with old computers and networks. NOT. FUN.

Trying to make Willis Carrier Day a thing. Unfortunately, he was born in November and died in October. Getting to celebrate the existence of the inventor of the modern air conditioner during a time of the year when air conditioners are actually used is going to be rough for people in the northern hemisphere. Good luck on the job hunt, Tuga!

Ten days from now marks seven years since the day I was screwed over by my county school system. What's so special about the seven-year mark? So, I've done a little research. From what I've read online, Special Education Diplomas in the state of Georgia are pretty much exactly what they sound like - high school diplomas given to people who had an Independent Education Program/Profile (IEP) and completed it before they could properly qualify for the full HS diploma. Now, it seems in many cases, this is okay; IEPs are often for genuinely special cases with, for instance, hard learning disabilities or other mental disabilities that make them incompatible with the mainstream high school. The problem is that IEPs can also be recommended for students who are not even close to being the stereotypical "special ed student", and an IEP or the school administering it might not necessarily make it a priority to even allow the student to pursue the full diploma or make it conducive for them to do so, even if they could achieve it. This seems to be the implication here, from what I gather; we all know Fatman is not blatantly disabled, but the lack of distinction between "unique provisions" and "critically challenged" may have culminated in Fatman getting this particular diploma. The catch is that Special Education Diplomas are worthless for College admission. They seem to be even worse then GEDs. A college might admit individual students after strict assessment, but that Special Education Diploma is always going to be a black mark on their record in terms of educational pursuits. Universities probably wouldn't touch him without a college degree. The seven year thing seems to be that once someone turns 22-23, the Special Education Diploma is locked in forever. Can't be upgraded, 'cept maybe by getting a proper GED or leaving the state. Since the average high school student graduates at 17, 17+7=24 means he's got every reason to be a very miserable digger.
