Furthermore, in-game cutscenes will also be joined by "moving storyboards", which will probably cover major plot points—the usage of them is probably due to their deadline, small budget, and storyboards are easier to re-do than in-game animations (you can also get around not having finished 3D models by doing this). To top it off, each loading screen shall feature concept artwork for us to look at—what fun!

This prototype version is looking better by the day! Now to get a 3DS and then wait for the end of this month!
Or build a time machine...........

Man, with all (or most) of he content lately revolving around that one Bonne mech battle, I was not expecting ten whole missions. Even though some of them will probably be very small, that's a lot. I wonder what kinds of missions they're going to be. We've seen little bits and pieces of every type of mission they mention, but there's got to be some we haven't seen already. And the bits about concept arts and animated storyboard scenes is just cool. I can't wait for this Prototype. <3

This is looking better than before, I thought there will be just 3 missions, but 10? these guys are working harder than they tell us at the Devroom, it was surprising that they had a prototype fully playable before letting us know.
I believe the e-shop will be accessible only in the 3ds, am I right?

I believe the e-shop will be accessible only in the 3ds, am I right? I'm fairly certain this is true, yes. But the full details about the e-Shop haven't been released yet. (Not that I know of, anyway.) Nintendo's been saying that the e-Shop is being delayed because they want to make sure they get it right this time; something about having regrets about the DSi/Wii shops or something. And any Nintendo Points (currency) for DSi and Wii are not compatible with the 3DS e-Shop. I'm not sure where else one would want to access the e-Shop, but DSi and Wii most likely won't support it. (Although maybe you could get an account and pay for the Prototype even if you don't have a 3DS yet.) Of course, unless Capcom up and decides to make this a multi-platform thing, I think you'll need a 3DS to play it. (I think the initial data for the Prototype said it was multi-platform, so maaaaybe that's possible.)

Dear Nintendo,
Please hurry up with that 3DS eShop launch date. I'm tired of not knowing when it's going to be out, and I want to play this Prototype and push it on everyone else with a 3DS and a pulse.
Smooches, Dashe

The fact that we get not one, not two but ten missions to do in the Prototype is another reason why I can't wait for it to be released.
Before I read that that 2D pic of Aero was actually one of the moving story boards, I almost thought we were getting anime cut scenes ^^;

I hope we don't get anime cutscenes in the final. It just wouldn't feel as seamless without the 3D models sticking with us the whole time.

Dashe, we still have the 2d moving storyboards. So yeah, it's not what you want.

Yeah, but are those 2D moving storyboards going into the final game as full-on 2D cutscenes? The one with the cartridge and box that we might not actually get? I thought they were placeholders.

Eh, even if we do get anime cutscenes in the one with the cartridge and box we might not actually get, it'd just be another cosmetic misfortune that we'll have to endure as a group. At any rate, I'm just glad that there's more on the prototype. 10 missions, and not just fighting a mech. Definitely a plus. Y'know, that also reminds me of The Six Days, but on a far more awesome scale.

I'm vastly looking forward to this, even if I'm obviously stating the facts that everyone has.
I do like that they are utilizing Loading times to give insight into the concept side of the development scene. Finer details such as this are going to please the video game reviewers, that's for sure.
By the looks of that chase screenshot, it seems that Barrett is going to be doing some rail shooting, which will be refreshing.

Yeah, it's pretty sweet we're getting an extensive demo prototype, whatever. I really think it'll be nice for the newcomers who might buy it on a whim. There is so much to the MML series that a quick one or two mission demo would not do it justice, I think it will better portray (and hopefully attract) new fans to the series.

I wonder of what significance Barrett's air bike will have have in the plot. Why is he seemingly pushing civilian vehicles violently out of his way, and transporting Servbots? Dude seems kinda shifty to me...
