I agree, like I posted earlier. Personally I think that all e-mails should have MML3 written as the first thing in their subject, but that's just me. As per advertising, I suggest you start a thread with some ideas for your work and we could add some input. Remember we should take this in steps, not slowly but in steps. One thing comes before the other. Organization, and showing that we're united is vital if we want any respect.

MML3 is too small I think... I'm sure they get plenty of letters from people that say that. Perhaps something a little longer. But I'm not really complaining because I don't know of anything. Well I'm going to go off and whip up a few banners. Anybody have any idea of what I should put on there? Like a catch phrase is all I really need. Anybody got anything?

Yes indeed, take it in steps. I feel somehow we're getting ahead of ourselves here, although the enthusiasm is great to see. ^_^ We need the plan set before we worry about posting it on Legends Station and then advertising it around. As I see it, the key points of the plan are to get the e-mail address(es) and the mailing address(es) where sending our protests/concerns will be most effective. Secondly we need a set of solid guidelines for people rallying to the cause, for instance the stress on proper grammar and spelling, as well as making sure people know what to say in the letter. We can't all repeat the same thing over and over, nor can we write moronic threats to Capcom that they better make Legends 3 or else (yes I can think of people who would do as such). If we are all under one name as an organized group, that would totally ruin us. Third, I do agree that working as a group can be beneficial, but it must be done right, not only in the sense of the example I just gave, but also in the fact that if they only receive 5 letters and 50 e-mails from our group, it will make it look like there aren't very many of us, and certainly not enough to warrant making a new game for.
These and others are the sorts of things we need to think through thoroughly before going overboard in this. As for the name, how about something simple like the Legends 3 Alliance? o.o Certainly open to discussion. We could use more people to visit this thread and give us their input. I'll be posting my mock-up letter before too long.

I believe we should put our own names, but somehow show that we got together to do all of this.
I brought up advertising because that's my field. I'm usually good at getting support. I just want to make my contribution! ;D
But, yes, we should go in steps. No getting to far ahead of ourselves. I think Legends 3 Alliance sounds good. But we should wait for some input from other people. so I'm just gunna cut this post short and stop now.

Ah this again, this has been done before but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try again. I will write if I see more than 50 people will.

Same here. I've already written Capcom in the past. I just got a pretty generic reply.
Also, I found the street address:
Capcom 475 Oakmead Parkway Sunnyvale, CA 94085
And e-mail, although it's the "ask a question" e-mail:
megamail@capcom.com

Just to verify, when I suggest MML3, I meant it as a precursor to the subject, like MML3: BM 1-3 votes in the affirmative. However point taken. If all of them say MML3 they might interpret that as us telling them which ones they can delete, so maybe somebody can think up something better.
Additionally when I say we should be taking it in steps I would suggest we draw up some sort of an attack plan. Personally I believe we should push for the information link. That means you fab. When they see three hundred e-mails most of them should have a link to your e-mail, rather than having them respond to any such individual. You will have to make a friend high up in the Capcom corporate ladder while riding the back of our hard work, and with that friend, or 'those friends' you should help point us to the next stepping stone to the promised land. Namely MML3.
Oh, and words upon words, I saw the G4 Mega Man special ZFKoku was talking about, and suddenly it hit me. We should see if G4 wants to help. With their support our causes chances for survival head into the black. BTW Legends 3 Alliance is good, but it doesn't have a ring to it. I refer to it as our 'cause' but that wouldn't make a suitable NAME anyway you look at it. Try thinking of an acronym, like DASH and remember nobodies getting paid to do this so in a couple of days when we really start rolling everybody remember to keep all criticism constructive. Hmmm... Legends 3 Alliance... How about Megaman Legends Alliance (or association, but not so much), in case we want to continue it for any reason. Plus 'MLA!' is short easy and memorable. Ideas?
EDIT: Good going SIMSteven! That is one of the building blocks of our entire cause!

I'm gonna post on all the game related boards on the G4TechTV forums about this "movement" I'm GokuSSJ1 on those boards. MLA! (Lol that's pretty funny to say outloud) Updated: forums.g4techtv.com/messageview.cfm?catid=62&threadid=193662Well, not alot of good feedback. Alot of the people on the G4TechTV boards are *BLEEP* heads, so it was pretty useless.

A closing message. For the love of all that is Mega Man everybody remember that fab is the leader and as corney as it may sound you have to trust his judgement when it comes to stuff like that. Take it one step at a time, and, while eveybody can have their own input, act like an organization and you'll be treated like one, act like a web surfer with an agenda and... well, the outlook is grim. Otherwise, good luck!

I'd E-Mail Capcom about a MML3. It wouldn't really matter how many other people do it. lol Let's just not write threats in them. =P

I'm for writing a letter by hand to Capcom. Although B1-3 mentioned a thing about letters and e-mails earlier, I personally say a sackful of letters clamouring for Legends 3 looks a lot better than a disk full of e-mails. (Poor trees.) Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think a letter is going to be harder to bounce back an auto-reply to. Oh yes, and I am amazed by all you guys' enthusiasm too. Should you guys get a concrete thing going, you have my support. For those who are going to write, I shall stress it too: Proper grammar is a must! Think of it as a school essay. Capitalization, no fragments, your and you're, their vs. there vs. they're... Take care into your writing!

Hand-written letters (or typed) are much more effective than e-mails, they're harder to discard, and you have to open them and such. With e-mail all you have to do is click a button to delete it.
I prefer letters, but I'm gonna do alot of e-mails.

All right I have five minutes before the librarian cusses me out again, so a few suggestions. We have the addresses, and were all agreed to keep the letters polite and grammatically correct. I would say the next step is building up mass. I'm sure Capcom will just love to receive dozens of letters about how we all like MML but the more the merrier right? I would suggest we try first to electrify the MML base as it is, and then, when all the information we can gather has been reviewed, we try to go outbound. If we start a letter campaign just as sales of MML 1&2 on Capcom.com go up then... well I'm getting ahead of myself... fab I'm looking forward to that 'mock' letter your writing, and likewise Pitch has some advertising on the way. But lets not go crazy, keep it to MMLS, unless fab says we're ready to post elsewhere. Otherwise I'll be back, even if I only get to be a fraction as long winded.

Sorry to have delayed this for so long-- been busy with other Legends related issues, as you should all know. Okay, this is what I came up with and it highlights 3 major points: 1. It's been far too long since Legends had a game. 2. Lots of fans are waiting. 3. It's is in Capcom's best interest financially. To whom it may concern,
I am writing out of concern for a series which has been kept in the dark far too long. As an active participant in the online Mega Man community, I have seen firsthand the powerful and dedicated fanbase which desperately longs for a continuation of the Mega Man Legends/Rockman Dash series. Come this October it will have been 4 long years since this beloved series has seen a sequel here in North America, and even longer in Japan. In those 4 years, we the Legends fans have had to sit and watch as every other Mega Man series have received games. The X series has continued its run with Mega Man X5 through X7, and X8 and Command Mission are soon to follow. The emergence of the Battle Network series has brought forth an almost ridiculous amount of eight titles, with a promise of continuing on the upcoming Nintendo DS system. We have also seen the rise of the Zero series which already has three titles, as many as Legends, sadly. Even the classic series received the SNES port of Mega Man & Bass, is it so much to ask that we Legends fans be given a little attention?
Approximately 4 months ago, an interview with Keiji Inafune in Play Magazine questioned him about the Legends series and quoted him as saying, "I love it. And you can bet when I get the chance, and more importantly the free time, you WILL be seeing a sequel to this." This gave we fans a small bit of hope, and excited a good many people. As I understand from various sources, Mr. Inafune's schedule has opened up somewhat with the completion of Onimusha. As just one of a multitude of fans, I am writing to strongly urge Capcom to begin production on Rockman Dash 3!
I am aware that the Legends series was not as well-received nor as profitable as it should have been. However, myself and others believe very strongly that today's market would support these games far better than the market of 6 years ago when the original Mega Man Legends was released. A few of the reasons for such are stated below. 1) The Legends series was dismissed by many Mega Man fans as "not Mega Man", due to its numerous differences. In the present time we have seen the enormous success of the Battle Network series, which is as different from conventional Mega Man as Legends was, if not moreso. The Mega Man fanbase has a far greater acceptance of variety these days. 2) The Legends series also suffered from being the first to venture into the world of 3D. This should have been a major breakthrough in the Mega Man series as a whole, but many hardcore fans were not ready for the change evidently. Much more recently we have been given Network Transmission and X7 as 3D Mega Man games, and more are on their way. It has become more accepted. 3) Generally speaking from all reports I have seen, Mega Man seems to be much bigger than ever in terms of total overall fans. The more Mega Man fans there are, the more people there will be who are willing to give the Legends series a try- if it has a new game. The same applies to the fact that video games in general are also more popular than ever. 4) Through my extensive online experiences, it is clear to see that the fans of the Legends series are very loyal. After 4 years of nothing, it is still discussed by many in forums and message boards with enthusiasm equal to that as it would be if the games had just come out. I know many people in my circle of friends who would buy an extra copy of Mega Man Legends 3 just to show their support and delight at finally being given a sequel. Myself I would honestly go so far as to buy a Japanese PlayStation 2 or GameCube just so that I could import and play the game in its Rockman phase. 5) Perhaps the most positive aspect to consider for possible success in the Legends series's future is the fact that Anime has become a tremendous hit with smashing force. Video stores these days have huge sections reserved entirely for Anime, whereas 6 years ago the market seemed to be only a very small fraction of what it has become. The Legends series is highly Anime based, from its character design to its graphic style. Proper implementation of this aspect into the next game could have great benefits.
With that I bring this message to its conclusion and sincerely hope that Capcom listens to its fans. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. If the suggested game is in fact planned or secretly in development, I greatly hope Capcom will make the announcement soon.
Sincerely, Paul Burns

[home address]I'd like all of your opinions on it. The main problem I see with it is it may be a tad too long. Please give your suggestions on what you think should be cut out to make it more focused.
