AURAUGH I started last night, stopped in the middle because I needed some sleep, woke up, and then found out I had to go run some errands with my mom, and just got back about an hour ago. So uh, I guess I failed the 24 hour challenge. :\ I should have my art done soon, though.
EDIT: New page get!

Hey, no problem. As it stands, the only thing you really miss out on if you miss the 24-hour deadline is the mystery prize Dashe promised. You’ve still got until the 22nd to make it in time for the exchange.
Good luck to everyone still working on their pieces, by the way. I’ve responded to all the PMs received so far, so hopefully everything is on track.
As always, any questions, shoot away.

Gaaaaah! So much busy-ness (business doesn't work because it has taken on a different meaning than busy-ness. Gah, that still doesn't seem right though)! I've barely gotten started and the deadline is so close! I better not have any interruptions tomorrow, every day since the contest started has been absolutely packed for me.

Finishing my piece now. God, this is fun.
Hey, I've got a suggestion. Come the 23rd and all the submissions are put up in the second post, I think the medium used should be put next to it.
Just a thoughtful thought from my thoughts.

I'm finishing up too! I've never even attempted anything like this before but I'm very pleased with how it's turning out. I'm excited!

aw crap, I forgot the deadline was today. I've been practicing piano like crazy for the past couple of days because there was a recital earlier tonight. I'll be finishing up my piece tonight though.

Everything sent so far has been responded to. Anyone still working on their piece, you've still got till the end of the day to meet the deadline. As a heads-up, we will accept late submissions just as we did last year (I mean, if you want to give someone some gift art, we've got no reason to stop you); they just won't be circulated on the front page. So don't let the time stop you. I'm still working on mine, myself. Been busier than anticipated this past week. >_> Sorry for the late response on this. If anyone wants their medium to be listed, I see no reason why we couldn't. A few people who sent their pieces in after that suggestion was made have explicitly mentioned what it was they worked with, so there seems to be enough people keen on this.

Yeah, I finished mine yesterday. I also have the prizes ready for the 24-hour challenge winners...I just hope they actually work.

Ok, everything that I’ve been sent should be in your inbox now, Fab.
It hasn’t been a bad turnout at all. I got 11 submissions sent to me, which is hardly shabby. If some were sent directly to Fab, all the better. Back pats all around.
To those who haven’t sent anything, no worries if you couldn’t make it. More than understandable for this time of the year; I barely made it myself. And if you still want to send something in, as I said, don’t let the deadline stop you. It won’t get the front-page treatment, but it will go up on the list of submissions. We were fielding gifts well into January last year if memory serves, so we’ll probably do the same this year.

No problem. I never really mentioned what I was using. It was Paint.NET.

You've been F5'ing at the speed of light? Then don't. Until fab logs in nothing will change. I'm just glad that tomorrow i'll be able to submit my entry to my deviantart, my fingers itch to do it.

Okay, the cropped versions are now up on the home page! (V3 and V4) Good stuff, people! I hope the remaining entries are turned in soon.
I took some liberties with some of them, making my own cropped versions in favor of the ones I received. My bad on that whole side of things. People shouldn't have had to make their own thumbnails/crops. The guide image I posted on page 1 of this topic was to give people an idea of the picture area that would appear on the home page (just to warn them ahead of time that a tall and thin picture wouldn't transition well to short and wide).
Tomorrow I'll make it so that all the pictures on the home page link to the full versions on-site, including Flash animations that some of us turned in.
