Oh, and the maps look excellent too. No modelers yet? There's Rockman Juno, but this is a big project and he's inexperienced, so I'm trying to find another. Darn you, MaJoR!

I've seen Rockman Juno's work. It looks beautiful. I am not sure about how much experience you would need, myself, I don't have experience in game programming, but I do in programming in general so I'll try to help as much as I can.

Don't get me wrong. His Rock model was the best I've ever seen. It's just that this game is probably going to need a lot of models, and I'd hate to force all of that onto one person; especially onto a person who (to my knowledge) has never made models for a game before. We're all learning from this, and I expect you'll be able to figure out how to program for Source in no time. A little update for you: I've contacted the talented Rina-chan about the possibility of playing Roll Caskett. While she is a professional voice actor (she was in the game "Castle Crashers"), she is mainly focused on doing free work for Flash animations and such. Her most popular appearance is probably that of Meryl in the Flash series Metal Gear Awesome (warning: profanity), but you can hear her Roll-like voice in U-893, where she played the captain (the red unicorn).

Ugh, Rina Chan... Pweh. Bleh Bluh Blah. But i suppose it's true that her voice is Roll Casketty, i hope she replies to you, unlikely the odds might be since she gets like a thousand emails per second and won't participate unless your project shows signs of completion.
I worked with her once, she's a average-to-jumpy person.

Say what you want about her, but I've been trying to cast her for like four years… and she said she definitely wants to play Roll! Squeeee!

Hah. Kyle Sevier haven't replied yet. Mirok, where have you worked with her before, I wonder? The [at] is clearly an a. It's MirAk. And i wanted a good female voice actor to do some voices for the princess of a game i made a looong time ago. Sadly i lost that game amongst other good jewels of my personal collection of games made by me when filefront had the great thought of deleting all my files because i didn't log in for 2 months, but yeah, that's was the project she worked with me on. I miss that game, i honestly don't think i'll ever make anything as great as that one. ;_;

Nostalgia isn't a great game. It isn't half as good as you remember, and you probably have tons more experience/skillz now. You could make something a million times better. Or maybe I'm wrong, anyway, describe the game!
The one big problem is, that when you get older, all your games end up being inspired by games that you've already played. Good new ideas have to come from somewhere else. You get more skillz, but the game ideas are no good. Ha.
Kipling wrote a story about about a boy who wanted to be a writer. He wrote about things past that nobody could possibly know. Then he started reading books, and everything new he wrote ended up a copy of what he read. His natural ability to see the past was replaced with their ideas.
I'm sure there's a way to avoid this, but its definitely a trend.

I know exactly what duo is talking about in his second to last paragraph. Back when I first started writing fanfiction, all my stories were ripped off of fan comics and other fanfiction. Luckily, I've moved past that now and have grown as a writer.
On topic, I got the voice acting roles for Jim and the Junk Store Owner! YES!

So you're part of the team now? Well, that's nice. The more the merrier I guess.. until we decide to make money off the game!

Nostalgia isn't a great game. It isn't half as good as you remember, and you probably have tons more experience/skillz now. You could make something a million times better. Or maybe I'm wrong, anyway, describe the game! I suppose you're right. It still hurt when i remembered all those lost projects and compiled games. Well i don't know how much we can keep talking about the game without me imposing on the thread's topic, but the game was about er, let me just copy paste the script: Character A is a traveler, a traveling vagabond, a musician, at least this is what she desired to be. Escaped from the castle she was the princess of, she likes to move here and there, never staying long in one place, for what she desires more than anythng else is to forever be a free spirit, free of any obligation or responsbility of the present world. Character A thinks her life is beautiful and great until she finds Character B, a lost child. Distressed by his situation, the child cries as no one on the surrounding seems to care, alone in a harsh world without the warmth of his lost mother. Character A feels it's best to ignore the situation as everyone else, yet her kind demeanor forces her to talk to Character B and try to console him, this is a mistake for from that point onwards the innocent nature of the child combined with the new sensation of duty and protecting, she finds herself unable to abandon Character B to his luck and decides to help find the mother.
At the end of the story, Character A manages to find the mother alongside character B and decides to return to her kingdom in order to fulfill her role as a princess, the moral of the story is that responsibilities may seem like a burden, but as all burdens, the rewards are equally satysfying, if not more. I don't know if this sounds similar to any other story for a game or whatnot, but i loved making every little bit of it, and i would love to do a remake someday. until we decide to make money off the game! I don't think this will be possible, but you already know why so your statement was probably made on purpose and well i'll shut up now.

(Oh, here it comes! I've been saving this announcement!) If we finish the mod, I'm sending a copy to Capcom USA and asking them to publish it on Steam, or at least give us permission to release it ourselves. There's a small possibility that Capcom would see the risk-free money-making potential in this and decide to charge money to download it. Just remember that the main goals here are to make an awesome FPS for Legends fans, introduce FPS fans to the Legends series, and gain experience in creating computer games… but don't entirely rule out the possibility of earning some cash-moneys on the side! Edit: Oh, and sorry for the double-post.

So far this project sounds interesting, I have a small amount of voice acting experience I doubt I could be of any help though, as I'm still a novice. Anyways I was wondering if the Irc channel is just for team members or if you don't mind people from this forum joining to watch the progress. Also If you don't mind me posting a clip here this is some of my voice acting. www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=9af07191318acf3b5a3d773badf21430e04e75f6e8ebb871Although my friend edited the first clip slightly to give it special effects and a dark tone to it, the 2nd one is my normal voice, without editing, different lines though.

Anyways I was wondering if the Irc channel is just for team members or if you don't mind people from this forum joining to watch the progress. It's mostly just so the team and I can schedule meetings whenever we need to, but I made sure not to password protect it so anyone can join whenever they want. Expect to not see anyone talking, though! Haha. If you don't mind me posting a clip here this is some of my voice acting. Not bad. I'd like to cast you as Juno, but, unfortunately, that would mean I won't need you for a long time. Maybe I could also give you some minor parts, like random citizens and such.
