A lot of the textures in the original game were pretty simple. Sometimes if you can't texture from scratch, you can get away with using a vector graphics program like Inkscape. If you choose to go that way you can resize textures whenever you like, add lights, shading, etc, without having to deal with pixels. I do a terrible job with the gimp, photoshop, etc., but my Inkscape textures look great! You might be able to use it too, and get away with not having a texture/2d artist.

I can help with music and anything else sound-related. You can hear some of what I've done in the "My Music" thread I created.

Hey, sorry I haven't replied in a while. I've been meaning to ask exactly WHAT kind of voice acting you are looking for. Giving me some lines to read would be extremely helpful, as well as the kind of character I would be voicing. It's the same characters as the original, although the minor characters are going to be given voices, as well. I'll see if I can think of a few lines. I'm assuming you're only interested in male characters. Keep in mind you don't have to do them like they sounded in the original; if you think a character deserved a better voice than they got, feel free to make up your own. Barrell: Today, whilst studying at my desk, I came across a startling conclusion. Unfortunately, I've forgotten what it was. Tiesel: You may not have been looking for trouble, Blue Boy, but you found it. All guns aft! Let's get him. (Anyone know who this was? He was awesome.) Juno: You are not a good person. You know that, right? Good people don't end up here. Inspector: Hey, random 14-year-old kid! Would you mind doing some police work for me while I sit here and eat these doughnuts? Jim: Hey, why'd you kick my dog? Are you some kind of dog-kicking psycho who kicks dogs or something? Osh: Whoa, dude, I'm totally unimportant to the story! That totally sucks, man! Bensley: Hey. What's up? Junk Store Owner: Hey there, Hippopotamus. Long time no see! How can I help you? Wily: I'm honoured that such a pretty girl like you could fix my boat for me. Yes, yes, very pretty. Pretty and covered with grease. Mmmmm. Yes, thank you for fixing my boat. You get the picture. Also, I second the recommendation of finding a 2D artist. As a modeler, I can say that having one helps a ton. Now you're just teasing me. I do a terrible job with the gimp, photoshop, etc., but my Inkscape textures look great! You might be able to use it too, and get away with not having a texture/2d artist. Given the incredible amount of textures I assume are in the game, I'm guessing I'll probably need multiple texture artists. Maybe. Why not you? Am I right? Am I left? I can help with music and anything else sound-related. You can hear some of what I've done in the "My Music" thread I created. I'm trying not to recruit composers, as it's one of the few things I myself can contribute to this project (with some guitar help from DrScience123 as well as possible help from Mir@k), but you seem like an excellent exception. You're hired. I'll add some more samples of my music once I get an official website for this project up and running. In the meantime, feel free to download the samples I already posted. Also, just because I feel guilty about not showing you much yet, here are some screenshots of the first level so far. Progress is slow, but it's still progress! Everything's a work in progress, so try not to be critical. The textures are all placeholders; some are ripped from RMD, while others are default Half-Life 2 textures. I'm okay, Roll. I think this is the last door. I pried it open with this crowbar (teehee). Do you see a door nearby? That should be the way out. It's not far from your current position. Seriously, just turn right. It's right there. Huh? A platform? Try jumping up on it. No, that's not a boss. It's just a placeholder made out of boxes. Also note the really big door behind it. It never made sense how the boss made it through the tiny door in the original. A little elevator ride up and you're at the top of the tower. This is obviously where a cutscene is supposed to happen. "Falls from a sufficient height into water will be fatal regardless of whether or not it's done 'correctly'. For example, a fall at eighty miles per hour into water is roughly equivalent to falling on concrete at the same speed; meanwhile the average human body falls at roughly 120 miles per hour, in as little as 10 seconds." –TVTropes.org

Not me, I'm working on my own legends game, quite regularly (it's helping me learn how to program in 3d). Anyway, my textures aren't as detailed as yours. They're mostly 1024*1024, but they're made with vector graphics, so they don't have cool shading baked onto them or anything.
Depending on how many people you'll have working for you, too much detail will make you stray away from finishing.

Beautiful output, Cleveland Rock. I seem to be unable to find proper Source engine documentation, so I can't decide how much I can help. Even if I do, I'd probably be learning on the go, if that's ok.

Anyway, my textures aren't as detailed as yours. My textures? I don't even have textures yet. Like I explained in the last post, the textures in the screenshots are placeholders ripped straight from Rockman DASH. I seem to be unable to find proper Source engine documentation, so I can't decide how much I can help. Help me how?

I'm genuinely interested in helping you in programming, but I need to see the Source engine documentation or some source engine programming examples to know what kind of stuff I'd have to program.

OH THANK G– I mean, uhhhh, certainly. Here is some documentation, and I could walk you through getting some rather confusing .cpp files if you have the Source SDK.

Then I'm ready when you are ready. Show me what you've got.
I'm installing Steam as we speak, but do I have to buy Half Life 2?

Ok, I added you. If you can get me the game, that'd be great, but I'll pay it back once I finish setting up my Visa/PayPal mess.
Just to show good intentions, I sent an email to Corey Sevier's brother, Corey is MML1's MegaMan voice actor, don't ask how I got his email. There is a slight chance one of the Sevier brothers will do voice casting, so you never know.

I dunno, I may have enough money to pay for a $15 game for you, but I certainly can't hire a team of professional actors! Still, if it helps any, I once stumbled across the phone number of a "T. Ryan" from Kitchener, Ontario.

I am serious. I did send the email, but I dunno if the Sevier brothers will reply; much less agree to do it for free or a very low fee (which we can distribute, if needed, no worries). Now, it is advisable that you get me the game as soon as possible so I can so what I can do.

Progress has been slow, so have some more music from the soundtrack. Leopold! (featuring DrScience123 on guitar) The Main Gate

Nice chunes. I especially like DrScience123's crunchy guitar. Gives it a nice industrial sound. Not all media players support .ogg files, though. You might wanna convert that if you want a broader audience to listen.
Oh, and the maps look excellent too. No modelers yet?
