Yeah, it's pretty much pixel art. I'm thinking of making a Sera one. Only problem's probably that I couldn't make her look exactly the same, proportionally. I've never been good at being consistant, which is why I love using bases. Naw, the shoulder looks just about right. Problem is in her chest really. Kinda needs to be out more for it to look right at this angle, I shpose. And the eyes are supposed to be that way, really. I think. Unless you're seeing something different than what I am. I assumed you all would know right off the bat, but incase you don't, this pixel art is based off of this official art. In case you were wondering about certain parts. ...like what on Terra it is Yuna's doing in this pose... I still don't get it. Well I implied it a little at the top of this post, but nah, this is fully custom. All my work. Started as a little line in paint(the bottom of her shoe; I made her from the bottom, up. lol). I was gunna try to make her the right size for a Pokemon sprite too, and I may still do that, but every single pixel is something I did. So yeah.

Mehehe. Actually, I don't know where that Yuna eating Tron thing came from. I just thought it sounded funny, and would be an excellent topic for a fanart.
Anyways, The new one does look better with more shading and the new ponytail addition. Also, I'm pretty sure the reason you can't shrink down ordinary pics to make sprites is because it messes with their quality. Pixels become interpreted differently and the like. At any rate, I know that enlarging an existing smaller picture will definately mess it up, so I imagine shrinking has something of the same effect since pixels may only be displayed so small. Or it's possible it's just for authentic feeling...?

Well it's much easier to shrink something down, than it is to make it bigger. This is why ya usually see a lotta high res official art of characters in games. What you have to try to maintain though is the shape and whatnot(like you have to shrink it evenly and stuff). I actually played with this a little bit and shrunk it down some and it didn't look half bad. I'd have to make some minor adjustments, but nothing major really. I might get to that later.
But yeah, it's not as easy to shrink down as it would be as a vector, but it can't be a vector and have so many details. And vectors are a whole 'nother complicated story.

Fret not. It was just a running joke. I think. If I remember, that came from the welcome thread, didn’t it?
Ah, but on to the art. The knee is a little high, isn't it? It was fine originally since Yuna was shorter, but if you're going to make her taller, shouldn't the knee be lower? The official art leaves the leg straight so that it gradually curves out of view, and you can't make out the knee joint, but since you have it bent at that angle, it's much more noticeable.
Other then that, the added height really balances out her proportions. And I don't believe I’ve mentioned it before, but I love the way you made the hands.

Knee? I didn't draw any knee... *checks* Oh my, how did that happen? that's strange I don't remember that being there... I can fix that. That's just a two second job. lol. And thanks. ^-^ The hands were wicked hard to make.
Alright, I fixed up her leg, I think. I also went ahead and did a little more "subtle" shading. It's a little less subtle this time., some of it anyway. I realized that I hadn't shaded her dress/boots enough, so I threw in another shade there. Also kinda just blended some shading better, but you probably won't notice any of it. Here 4 | 3 |
