It's 2022, so I don't think it's bogging anyone's bandwidth to have a handful of short videos linked into the post anymore. If you had closer to 30 videos, each one well over an hour, we'd need to talk.
Keep on trucking, keep your scope realistic, and I'm sure you'll have a finished project in...well, maybe not no time. It is game design. But I'm sure if you stick with it and keep the finish line in your mind as you go, you'll have a finished project!

Welcome to MMLS! A lot of us are on the Discord server, but it's terrible for archival, so I'm always glad to see people on the boards and always down to discuss Legends. I too sometimes play games, even! I operate under a couple of basic rules for them: Only play games that have a concrete win point, try to stay away from online gaming, and single-player preferred. Metroidvanias are really great even if I haven't beaten one in a while. Nice to meet you!

They look good to me, but I'll totally let you know if there's anything amiss if I see it. Thanks for your hard work!
Edit: When I'm in and editing my profile using the Sub-gate and Elsyium skins, the blue text doesn't show up too well against the white tabs

I wonder if now that it's been 20+ years since the game was released, I'll have heard of all of those 80s bands in the quizzes. And that's just knowing who the bands are. I'm still not sure I'd be able to answer questions about them with any consistency.

Awesome! It's so compact, good job on getting everything to fit together so well!

It wasn't as horrible as he says it was, no. For a PS1 game, it was surprisingly big. Now, I personally didn't like it as much as Legends 1 because Legends 1 focused more on making one really believable area that you get attached to, with dungeons based roughly around utility without getting overly themey, while Legends 2 seems like they ran out of disc space for what they were trying to do and had a plot that was a lot more openly based around collecting Macguffins than Legends 1 was. They really beat you over the head with elemental ruin themes, and there were so many rivals going after the keys as well that none of them really stuck out too much. If I had to pick which ones to keep in Legends 2 if I were in charge of making cuts, I'd pick Bola and Klaymoor. We see them the least, and I'd like the chance to get attached, you know?
But Legends 2's controls are a lot better than Legends 1's, and the graphics are better, too. They probably did themselves a disservice putting it on the PS1 is all. The story is also pretty deep, and Yuna's awesome. Part of me wishes I could've seen more of her, but the other part of me doesn't want to wreck it with oversaturation. If Sera had been more around during the key collection, or the game at least gave you options to try and pester her or try to sell her to the player as a Legends 2 Ira before making her into the final boss, that would've been awesome. As it was, you really just find her and forget her for the bulk of the game.
So, not a bad game, but not the great game that Legends 1 was. There are a lot of things I'd change about it if I could.

Oh wow, that's really fast. Now I'm hoping a bunch of fanart pops up of Roll just flooring it to get from one end of Kattelox to the other. Going with the flow of traffic is for babies!

I'm not dead yet, just bored. Really, really bored. And exhausted. I prefer forums to Discord for archival purposes, and with everything in constant flux, now I don't know anything about anything anymore. But so help you if you violate a rule out there. But if anything, I'm not flaky and totally didn't abandon Dragon Romper 3 upon my character's untimely demise. Plot armor is for babies!

I've also got a thread full of most of the 5-Island maps, so you're not scrubbing through the longplay too hard. I did the heavy lifting for that already, best I could with what Suzukaze gave us. It's here. If you stay committed to remaking it, then I might even be compelled to finish the last two islands!

I don't like it very much, either. It reminds me of Disney buying up as many IPs as possible. Nobody likes a monopoly. The future of gaming innovation's been with independent developers for a while now. I haven't felt a need to buy a AAA game, or even a game from a well-known developer, in a while now.
For Capcom, I think Sony buying it would be a better deal. They seem to be a lot more hands-off with things than Microsoft, but I haven't looked at them for a while. Microsoft got us Banjo: Nuts and Bolts rather than a proper third Banjo-Kazooie game, and I've frankly never been Microsoft's target demographic for gaming, so I'm not huge on them. But then again, Capcom isn't very good at running itself, either, and wound up letting spite beat out potential profits, so it might not hurt for them to get bought out...just not by a company like Microsoft. Unless they start changing their tune reeeeeeal fast about what nerds want in their games.

Now we all have one burning question on our minds: what movie did Jessica watch? Also, Millie is cool. It's refreshing that there's a girl in this who isn't either obsessed with boys or going to be stuck repopulating the planet with full humans.
Oh yeah, and what kind of action is the Gustaff Tank going to be seeing? The original Gustaff Tank was only used in the puzzle levels moving crates around, after all. I think it had a beacon bomb and not much else in Misadventures. Hope it has some weapons!

Yeah, this chapter makes me think Christian dating Lisa is smarter, the only thing Jessica should be seeing at this point is a good therapist. I'm glad Heather's not just a one-note jerk though. I liked that you had her help Samantha out. Generally, I like it better when characters team up as friends (or in this case cousins) rather than date each other, and the action was very nice and refreshing to see.

Welcome to MMLS! Our activity is largely contingent upon what Capcom has to offer us, but just like your love for this series kept on going, ours did as well. It's one of those timeless classics that not only held up, but wound up vindicated by history. The longer time marches on, the more of us seem to pop out of the woodwork, you know?
Honestly, this place probably peaked around 2006 or 2007 the first time, and 2010 for obvious reasons. If they did make a Legends 3, then I'd imagine we'd get a third wave even though most of the fanbase was between 6 and 12 when they found the series. I'm not sure exactly when you lurked, but if you were old enough to hunt through a bargain bin in 2001 then you probably weren't that much younger than most of us. I think the average birth year for an MMLSer is 1992, but it's been a while since I checked. The minimum age Proboards allows is 13, so for a while, this place was full of hyperactive teenagers forming a milita for fun. Now it's full of adults looking back at it and cringing hard. Yay!

Damn, I think Jessica is turning out more like Tron than Samantha is. Or at least how people who like Mega Man with Roll think of Tron. It'd be cool if she joined up with pirates, I think. Keep going!
