Alright, it’s divided into five parts. The last one provides undeniable proof of the existence of a program that can simulate emotions, so ha to all you non-believers. Read what you want to of this post. I don't want anyone dying of boredom here...
Simply put, the Master System's inability to create a time machine should not factor in to the brain theory because time travel is impossible. The reason is that to travel through time you would need to be able to move faster than the speed of light. No person can do so because nothing can go faster than the speed of light(as far as we know)because of relativity, which is based on the observed fact that light goes at the same speed relative to you no matter how fast you are traveling.
As you approach the speed of light, at first the energy associated with your motion goes up as the square of your speed, but that is only accurate for relatively slow speeds - the closer you get, the more energy is required, and it would take infinite energy for a massive object to actually reach the speed of light.
That being said, there are many other reasons it is impossible, but I’ve bored you enough over that… there are theories like alternate dimensions to explain time travel, but I doubt you want me to go on. Just because Elysium didn’t look advanced doesn’t mean anything. Most of the game’s cities don’t look all that advanced and yet they are able to use airships, lasers, and plasma weaponry. Simply put, don’t judge a book by its cover.

Although I did suggest a brain with implants way back when, most people thought I was a raving lunatic so I decided to analyze the synthetic theory. I do still hold the genetic engineering theory as a possibility. Still, the synthetic and organic theories are almost identical
As you can see, the only real difference is his brain. Synthetic parts are similar to an artificially grown baby. The main difference between the two origins is that with synthetic origins they would be able to make him the best he could possible be by picking and choosing the best parts for him. In the organic, they simply have what they were engineered to have. Still similar though.
Also, both would be able to wirelessly transfer data, but I do agree that the technological advancments of the Master System would be great given the rather large amount of time between it and our current time. (It's several thousand years since the old Clasic MM games which were set in 20XX. Since the games are linked, it would have been quite a while, albeit you had a cataclysm or two in between games. XX just means it takes place at some random date within the 2000 - 2100 time period.)

As for reaverbots being used as reasoning as to why MM must be organic… the reaverbots are simply made to be guardians. If you want proof of synthetic origins just look at Sera, Yuna, Juno, Gatz, and Geetz.
Reaverbots are meant to be cheap, but effective, guardians, not sentient beings like humans. Once a reaverbot becomes sentient, it would loose its effectiveness as a guardian. The reason is that without emotions there is no fear, and without fear... you get the picture. If you added a complex system to reaverbots, it would be extremely wasteful, not to mention it would detract from their effectiveness as guards.

That all being said, MM is a science fiction game, so anything is possible, even time travel if they so willed it. In other words, there is no definitive answer that we can provide, and JMC has already said he won’t budge on his organic theory… why am I even bothering

Elysium is extremely advanced. How could it not be? I’ll make a list of reasons it is advanced.
Simply put, Elysium and the Master System are very advanced. Considering all that they’ve done already, building a mechanical brain that can mimic the human brain almost perfectly would not be impossible. Sure, reaverbots aren’t complex, but I already addressed that.

Alright, I just thought of something. Everyone says that it would be impossible to make a advanced mechanical brain that can imitate a human’s, but just look at Tron’s servbots. They almost flawlessly imitate humans (well, children, but who cares). They eat, sleep, have emotions, and so on.
The Master System was and still is far more advanced than the betas, so if Tron can make a mechanical brain that can simulate human emotions, the Master sure could, and he could do a far better job with the resources available to him.
Since we know that such an advanced brain is possible, and we know that the Master System was able to craft detailed human like shells, all we have to do is put it all together. Mechanical brain + Synthetic shell = MM model unit.
So ha! Now I have irrefutable and undeniable proof! I don’t know why it didn’t hit me sooner. Well, I’m now certain that an advanced mechanical brain that can simulate emotions is possible in the MML world… I’m going to go eat some cake.

Well, that was fun. I’ve made my point and I’ll shut up now. Sorry for going on and on, but hopefully dividing things up made the boring length more bearable. Still, I apologize in advance for anyone who suffered headaches, nausea, or death while reading this post.
first, an explanation of the impossibilities of time travel. Read only in extreme boredom
They don't have time machines, so they don't have that advanced of a mechanical brain system.

Organic MM Vs. Synthetic MM
Although I did suggest a brain with implants way back when, most people thought I was a raving lunatic so I decided to analyze the synthetic theory. I do still hold the genetic engineering theory as a possibility. Still, the synthetic and organic theories are almost identical
Synthetic
MM was created from synthetically grown parts that were artificially created.
His brain is a complex machine capable of simulating the full range of human emotions.
MM was given nanos just like all other members of the system. These serve to keep MM healthy and safe,
and given time they could repair any wound.
Organic
MM was artificially grown in a “test tube”. He is human, but he is not a natural human.
His brain, like the rest of his body, was artificially grown and then implants were placed into his brain.

One more thing I forgot to address.
Elysium is extremely advanced. How could it not be? I’ll make a list of reasons it is advanced.
- It’s an artificial planet. An extreme amount of technological advancement would be required to make a planet with an atmosphere and everything.
- They have machines that can control gravity. That is no simple task.
- They have androids that display emotions. That in and of its self should be enough proof.
- They created an entire artificial human race. Do you think it would be that hard to make a program that simulates humans?
- They have a program that can instantly destroy the betas.
- They can create refractors.
Simply put, Elysium and the Master System are very advanced. Considering all that they’ve done already, building a mechanical brain that can mimic the human brain almost perfectly would not be impossible. Sure, reaverbots aren’t complex, but I already addressed that.
