What's the BEST setup for the Buster?

I liked to have max power, rapid and energy. I think that's what I had...

If this is doable: Max Attack - Power Raiser Ω - 800000z Max Energy - Turbo Charger Ω - Calinca Ruins Max Range - Range Booster Ω - 600000z
To fire rapidly, just hold down the fire button and keep tapping forward. This is only really doable more toward the end of the game. Throughout the game it depends on who you're facing, until you can plug in three things. Alternate between Energy and Range, depending on who you're fighting - like Glyde's flying ships may require range, while any tanks or anything like that on the ground you'll need to kill quickly.

My preferred buster combination, unless you have that part that boosts all of your statistics to their maximum, is maxxed Power, maxxed Energy, and as high Rapid as you can get with the last slot. Range doesn’t matter very much, save, as Pitch mentioned, the areas where you have to defeat airborne enemies. When I play, I find that I’m usually close enough to be able to hit enemies with absolutely no range upgrades. I guess if you prefer to stay at a distance and attack from there, you might want range, but I favor raw power. Edit: That didn't really answer your question, did it? I guess it depends on how you like to defeat enemies. Maximum Energy and Power is almost always a must. After that, ask yourself, do you like to play it safe and put some space between you and the enemy, or do you like to defeat enemies as quickly as possible?

Come on. Raw power all the way. Especially in dungeons, where you don't always have the luxury of safe distances. I did have an awful hard time beating Tron though when she came after the airship... was that MML1? It was tricky.

Hmm... IIRC, my buster set up was Attack max, range one below max, and energy one below max. Rapid seems pointless without energy, so I never raise it. I like picking off enemies from far away. Makes it a LOT easier. And with the energy up high, you don't have that stupid reload time every five seconds.

Raw power, whatever. Hold down the fire button and keep tapping forward. There's your rapid. =/

In MML2 I beat the first Sera with max Attack, Energy, and Rapid. Then I switched max Energy with max Range for the second round.

Same as Pitch for me. Max out attack, energy, and range, and tap up, that's your rapid right there.

What Buster Cannon said. You can't go wrong with range, power, and energy. Who needs rapid?

Gee, all that Legends playing and I never noticed you could simulate Rapid by pressing up... I feel like such an idiot. I'll have to try that next time I play through MML2.

Sure. If you like being cheap and taking advantage of a game's flaws. Us manly men like knowing that we've properly compensated our buster's fields.
... Alright, fine. Us wimpy, lazy, videogame-playing men. Some of us just don’t have the agile hands required for such a task, thank you. o.o
I’ve never used that tap-rapid technique, and I’ve done just fine. I still don’t like range. Leave sniper blasts to the lasers and tasers of the boy’s other hand. Up close and personal is how I like beating my game.

I still say you need high Range for Sera's second form. I never liked using Special Weapons, since most of the good ones (save for the Vacuum Arm) need a whole lot of Zenny to upgrade all the way.

I'd make a video but... 1) I don't have a working video capture device and I can't find my DV camera I could just use my mom's digicam with video mode 2)I'm not going to go to the work to get far enough to get those parts 3)I'm not going to go to the work to find my psx, mod chip and RMD2
