you don't need rapid though, because you can just use the tap forward trick... =/

RYF is right, energy has a totally different meaning in this game.

I have Max Rapid, Power, and Energy. Range doesnt matter all that much, thats what your special weapons are used for. I usually have the combo Shining Laser + That buster combo. Seems to work nicely for all later bosses.
You are wrong about not needing rapid. Suppose you are fighting a boss that is extremely fast. If you had to stop to tap forward every time you need it, you would be hit everytime you try to hit him rapidly. In some cases rapid wouldnt be needed that much, but for most of the later bosses, rapid is pretty important, so you can keep running and blasting away at the same time.

I don't use the cheap Circle and Shoot technique(which brings down all but maybe 2 or 3 bosses collectively in Legends 1 and 2), and I get by fine with no rapid at all. In close range though, the tapping forward and shooting thing works perfectly.

Buster Max is kind of cheap. Plus, you can't use it in any mode other than Easy. It may be the "true" best setup, but it just makes fighting kind of boring. It's like being invincible.

Thats the point, but it is boring after a while. Anyway, one of the fun things in the MML games is to customize the buster. It would of been cool if it we're a multiplayer game, so 2 people could of fought with their own customized Megaman. Sorta like the Battle Network series.

I think that would be better for a multiplayer version of MoTB--different Gustaff attachments and paint jobs would make the fight a lot more interesting.

I agree with Dashe. I still think that versus mode would be a great addition to MoTB, and COOPERATIVE would be an even greater addition to MML. Imagine, running through the ruins, splitting up, helping eachother to defeat the boss and recover the refractor, then spli the earnings at the end. It'd be awesome. Or of course, you could just have player two spot for you.. But eh, that seems a bit boring... Ever seen a scratch on Roll's skin? There's a reason as to why you haven't....
