Free admission expires soon... Heh, just kidding. Anyway, here it is! It took less time to build and put the exhibits on display than estimated. This is where I'm going to keep my gaggle of works ranging from MS Paint sketches to sculptures, paintings and more! A majority of the work I create is Legends-related, with some exceptions of course (usually Mega Man related, but not always.) Quite often than not, these pieces not just simple drawings of preexisting characters but rather taking those characters and putting them in new situations. In the case of my collection of System Units, since there are few canonical ones to mention, they're brand new characters altogether, each with their own little backstory. Sometimes, I like to put a spotlight on more obscure or less important characters in the series. I also like to draw and design various Reaverbots and put a colorful spin on existing ones. Besides Paint, I use 3D Builder to create renders of some of my Reavers and then incorporate a background and atmospheric lighting to them using Paint 3D. I've recently added GIMP ver. 2.8 to my repertoire of art-making software, though I'm still learning how to use it properly so I can make animated GIFs with it. Four of the original set of seven images from the Fan Art gallery have been selected to be added here for convenience and comparison with other works. Categories:System Units and RelatedMy Rendition of MegaMan Trigger, 1st Class Purifier Unit Servitor Unit LucinaLocality: Elysium Rank: 3rd Class Description: The Master's main personal Servitor Unit before his relationship with Trigger. Though she indeed registers as a Unit of the Master System, there is no on-file documentation regarding her origins. Despite the fact that she was meant to serve as the Master's bodyguard, she was never allowed to learn any combative skills nor was she permitted to handle weapons as mandated by Mistress Sera. She has feelings and a personality not unlike that of a human and always treated the Master as a father figure. When not required to defend the Master from harm, Lucina was assigned to serve as a "Mirror Bearer" for his hair grooming sessions. Eventually, under the Master's orders, she left Elysium to complete a mission of critical importance brandishing her weapon, the Solstaff, in hand. Though she can be kind and endearing, she has a tendency to play practical jokes on those she dislikes. Lucina's Transformation State: Lupa Magna, a large sleek white wolf Reaverbot with crimson markings Servitor Unit PhoebeLocality: Terra Rank: 2nd Class Description: The pint-sized terror. Once Yuna's right hand Servitor, Phoebe was in charge of reconnaissance and intelligence gathering. She floats above the ground most of the time and is rarely seen standing on her feet. In the early days of the System, she was tasked with guarding the Key to the global Carbon Reinitialization Program in Saul Kada. She's always been kind of saucy, and as a result, Phoebe was eventually reassigned to serve a lower unit because she was deemed too valuable to the System to be terminated. Her transformation state is of a dark blue Fiiru (dragon) Reaverbot. Trivia: Phoebe was created shortly after I had named Lucy then did I discover the existence of the popular FE character of the same name. I thought about changing Lucina's name to Phoebe, which has a similar etymology, but in the end, I chose to stick to her original name and created this Servitor as a result. Phoebe's Transformation State: Hellfire FiiruMegaMan Janus Locality: Terra Rank: 3rd Class Description: A defense based MegaMan Unit. As typical for such Units, Janus sports a buster arm by default, which could be switched to a Special Weapon of his choice. What makes him unique, however, is his Shield Arm, which absorbs energy shots and then blasts it all back at its opponents once enough energy has been collected. Holding the Arm in front of him produces a force field that protects him. He is referred to as an "assistance" Purifier Unit and mainly helps other Purifiers in combat. His Shield Arm looks like a Reaverbot's face. Personality-wise, you may say that Janus is two-faced; he helps Trigger for the most part, but on that fateful day when Trigger turned against the System, he turns against Trigger after deceiving him that he was going to help him destroy the System when they confront Sera. Trivia: Janus gets his name from the Roman god of doorways, who also had two faces. Servitor Unit AncillaLocality: Elysium Rank: 4th Class Description: A generic Servitor who serves the Master. She and Lucina are part of a group of units assigned to maintain the Master's golden locks of hair. Being single-purposed and working in close proximity to the Master, she lacks a transformation state. Ancilla may have hid Lucy's Solstaff away from Sera and brought it to the Master so he could give it to her personally, but other than that, there is little worth mentioning about this unit.
Purifier Unit Rene Locality: Terra Rank: 2nd Class Description: One the more unique Purifiers in the System, Rene favors an electrified whip in battle. Unlike other Purifiers, she does possess a sort of transformation that allows her to squeeze into small areas and evade enemy fire. She loves inflicting various status effects on her opponents (i.e. poison, paralysis, confusion, etc.) In addition, she also likes to summon as assortment of snake-like Reaverbots to aid her in a fight (Mirumijee, Nakel.) Rene, like Janus, is more of an assistance Purifier although she handles well on her own. Trivia: "Rene" is short for Renenutet, an Egyptian snake goddess. Her design is strongly influenced by Mega Man 3's Snake Man.

Updates come a bit slow, but you'll definitely know when there's more to see here. All works will be posted in this particular post and new pictures will come in small waves. I'll definitely work hard to make sure that my museum is the cream of the crop and make the Kattelox Curator red with envy!

Well, you know the museum curator needs more red. I think it was red. Were these seriously all done in MS Paint, not counting the models? Once you figure out Gimp, I wouldn't put it past you to just use that the whole time. It's not usually like me to like random nonsense, but the stuff you put in that section was surprisingly well thought-out! If only all attempts at random nonsense online were so coherent!

Yay, I'm not dead!!! Geez, it's been waay too long since my last post here. Sorry that I missed any responses from earlier; I have a notoriously bad habit of waiting until my next update to post replies and answer any questions needing to be answered... *groan* Just like the Miiverse days, where I would look back at my previous posts a week afterwards for likes and comments...
To answer that question, yes indeed. The non 3D model pics were mostly drawn in Paint. And with a mouse no doubt. I've been making "Paint-ings" for about mmm, say 14 years. Any smoother changes in the color gradient were achieved by opening files into Paint 3D and using its vector graphics tools like the airbrush, which is not a pixelated spray of color as it was in its predecessor. The "Frittos" pic, for example, is a combination of using Paint to produce the graphics for the chip bag, printing the image onto paper and folding it up into a bag shape, filling it with that plastic stuffing used for plush dolls, photographing the bag with a set of Fritto chips (made by frying cut out pieces of corn tortillas and dying them yellow with food coloring,) coloring the background black and drawing in a Fritto in Paint and then using Paint 3D to give the environment the likeness of the Shala-kun ruins. The props were photographed on top of coarse sand painted over with burlap-colored spray paint. Indeed, I work with all sorts of media, even ones least expected.
I only got GIMP about 3 months ago and am still trying to figure out how to translate the drawing of thick, bold lines like the ones I have made in Paint. It's kind of like me trying to play Mega Man Legends as opposed to Mega Man 64 - they serve the same purpose, but the controls and quality are different. Despite that though, it's lucky that I happen to know how to use the layering tool thanks to my previous experience in a 2D design program called RealDraw PRO (sadly, I can't use this anymore.) It's going to take time and lots practice before I can carry my characteristic style into GIMP without composing the image in Paint first. Have faith.
Speaking of which, the new pics are finally here! Just check the first post and look around. Links to pictures from the most recent wave will be labeled accordingly and will change to a more standard status once a newer wave is released.
P.S. I know that the Curator needs more red, only I'm not thinking about her little painting...(heh, heh, heh.)

Whoo! Dusty! *coughing* *looks up at ceiling corner, notices Jakko nest* Aww, you've gotta be kidding me... Welp, since the outdoors decided to transform my museum into Manda Ruins, I have no choice but to post my stuff out in the open air like this. (I have this theory that the Curator unlocked the doors and let nature take its course and sabatoge my building, but I've got to check the security cameras to be sure... provided that they're still operational. *sigh*) Consider this the "Outdoor Showcase." We're still not charging for admissions. *groan* And if Mother Nature decides to make to rain, hail, or snow or whatever, I'll just store them in the nearest ruin and corrupt a Hanumuru Doll to blockade the corridors in case other Reaverbots or the Curator decides to ruin me again... Since I'm still finishing up a few entries for this years additions to my gallery of... stuff, here's a few pieces originally intended for posting in November of 2018 but failed to be published due to real-life negativity getting in the way. The Lost Works of 2018: Purifier Unit Glyde... A Redo of Blaze Heatnix's Intro from Mega Man X6... Wheel Gator from Mega Man X2... A MMX Maverick idea: Quartz Pangolin... Two gif animations... Lake Jyun Monster... #35 Dreams of Flying... As well as the Super Special Secret Santa entries for ravenf6 ... plus an unedited version... for fAB (because I felt bad for him not participating)... ...and Dashe , apparently (Oops! Sorry, forgot to mention this one to you, fAB. My bad. I'll remind you next time if I have any other bonus images for Secret Santas.) I'll probably have most everything else I wanted posted done by tomorrow, if not on Friday. So if you thought that was everything, well...

I really like those Servbot GIFs. Reminds me of the old 90s Oekaki pieces associated with Japanese feature phones.

Yeah, those GIFs rock! Servitor Glyde is pretty fun too. Maybe someday I'll be able to say I've beaten all the Mavericks you've drawn, but today is not that day, and tomorrow isn't looking too great either. Keep it up!

HF Yeah. Out of all the 2018 gifs, they're definitely the most advanced animations I made at the time. Dashe Especially considering that Pangolin is unofficial, and who knows what Capcom's plans are for the next entry in the X series (I heard that they are working on a game called Mega Man X Dive, but I don't know how much progress they've made it in developent, sooo.) Maybe I might give those guys at Capcom Unity a piece of my mind this idea for a Maverick boss. Time to start 2020 with some brand new entries! Also, animations abound! But first, here's a rework of some my really old S.U.L. assets. If any of you have seen what Servitor Unit Lucina transforms into during my last stay here in 2018 (under "Lupa Magna" in the old gallery,) then congratulations, you get a virtual cookie. But in case you missed it, here it is again: "Wth?! Not another wolf Reaverbot. Unoriginal as heck. 0/5 stars. " - Anonymous Reviewer
The original image that this rework is based on is a 2015 Paint drawing of the Reaverwolf back in the same year she was created. More officially, Lucy's birthdate falls in the middle of October 2015, making her an almost 5-year-old character. I just gave it a different kind of lighting with higher contrast and an overall more shaded look. Fun fact: her human form's design is partly inspired by this more bestial one. Back when I used to save everything in .bmp format. Yee-uck. In the future, I will be redesigning this Reaverform a tad bit; I can't stop ignoring the fact that her neck is unusually stiff with the way she's designed now... Okay, now it's time for some animations! I've been working on this as a side project, inspired by Mega Man X2's opening where the built-in graphics card flexes its muscles at us with wireframe polygonal models. Fancy. Except that instead of MMX characters, I made wireframe sculpts of MML characters instead (okay, one's obviously a fan character, but that's besides the point.) Servitor Unit Lucina Yuna Tron Bonne (MML1) Do you think I should continue with this series? I already have plans to make Roll, Teisel, Bon Bonne, and Triggs regardless, but let me know whose heads I should make spin next. I do realize that some of these can make one feel queasy if stared at for too long, so if you start to feel sick, look away. This next one is a bit more, spontanteous. I took about 10 hours for this one. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ /////// FLASHING LIGHTS AHEAD: SKIP TO BOTTOM IF SEISURE PRONE////////_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Aww, there goes all my earnings. Kaboom. I was originally planning to post this in one of HF's threads, but I felt like this one's a bit too off-topic to be applied (no hard feelings.) And to answer that, I don't think Mirocs do that, in either MML1 or MML2; they only drop their money after they blow up. Hence this image. Regardless, thanks for the mind fuel, HF. That has me thinking: do Servitor Units leave refractor shards when they blow up? If there was any zenny to be had after Geetz's destruction, I'm sure everyone but Roll, Barrell, and Matilda (Yuna) would have been reaping in the rewards and selling his body parts for even more cash... pret-ty dark... (and NO, I'm NOT making that into art, lest I want to tarnish my operating record. That's just cold.) I don't think I'd contend with a King Miroc in terms of cash drops; I don't think that amount of zenny shown is enough to cover rent. But, even if the shards vanish into thin air, you could still sell my golden accessories for money (brr.) I guess a fitting name for this piece would be Dead Broke, since it would best describe my condition here .

You should really stick to posting your art in your own thread rather than HF's. That way we can find it and attribute it to the right person more efficiently if we ever needed to.
Anyway, I'm voting for Teisel.

Dashe: True. And I was thinking about starting a series of works inspired by other posts, preferrably the freshest ones, since the Necro Rule would still apply... Again, no offence, HF. If I have any more pics related to your posts, you may have to wait until mid March for 2020 Wave #2. Sorryyyyy. Also, I think you got I healthy view count increase because of my SSJ Roll tomfoolery, but anyway...And yes, the Teisel model has been foretold. I personally want to stick to characters with the more dynamic designs. Great character designs make for more interesting 3D models. Anyway, This is the main event, and the final submission for this month. I've been hinting at this one, as of the time of this post that is (so if my avatar changes again [it will, most likely] you can't curse me out and call me a filthy liar.) Seeing Purple Don't be fooled; that date in the corner there was from the time when I thought I was done with this piece, but apparently my OCD didn't think so. This piece is a product of the rain of salt and some mild to moderate PTSD after finishing my second full playthrough of Super Mario Galaxy in November last year. (Also made as an excuse to draw her face differently so that her facial features more resemble mine...) I started working on this in Paint and then after adding the lighting and background in GIMP, I thought that I was almost done; I just needed to add in some little stars and sparkles for bigger, brighter ones. Little did I know that I would continue working on the image for weeks... Eventually, I ended up with something that resembles the final image, except that the edges around the black lines and some of the colors still had that jagged, definitely-made-in-Paint look to it. The more I stared at it, the more it bothered me. Time and time again I would open the file and attempt to painstakenly "vectorize" the edges in Paint; I think I spent around 10 hours collectively on smoothing the lines down alone. I also took it back into GIMP for more blending of the colored areas and added extra highlights here and there (about another 6 hours. Oh, and I added hairlines, too.) And yeah, this became of all that toil. I'm curious as to what style of art would you like to see more from me, whether it'd be the more cartoony quirky stuff or the more realistic approach that I'm currently gravitating towards. Personally, I like drawing characters like this in an anime-like style but give them more realistic textures and details. Tell me what style you prefer. Also, I'll try to lay off my narcissistic tendencies for the next round. And as I've stated earlier, I probably won't post here again until March, just to let you all know.

It has less to do with freeloading off of another's work and more to do with my self image and compliance with the rules. The constant stream of image-based posts could be perceived as a form of bulling/spam, which would of course go against rule #1. And even though you've expressed multiple occasions that you're cool with it, it can't stop this being a possiblity in other people's minds, which is probably why Dashe felt the need to bring it up. It's also borderline on the edge of the image spam rule, which is a step away from another infraction, I'm afraid (...or for this reason, too. ) Don't get me wrong, the images are totally relevant in the context of the threads they are posted in, but doing that in such a high frequency can seem a bit off-putting to someone looking from the outside, especially them not knowing your personality or what you're okay with. It was fine when it's just one in a while, like once every few months or so. But with the way I've been doing it recently, not really. But as I mentioned before, that won't stop me from creating these kinds of pictures at all, it's just their placement that has to change, sadly. And yes, the navigation sucks, as anyone who posts any kind of artwork will have to contend with others doing the same regardless of which branch of the Art Forum section he/she posts in. I wish there was a way to split the different divisions and give each branch its own highlight on the Home Page, though it would get kinda messy I understand it. It's hasselsome to have to wait for someone to get some love from the viewers, guests or members, whoever they may be, to avoid being called out as a jerk for having posted something in and have that be on the Home Page than the previous poster's, especially in a short time relative to the other's post- it's not just the earlier poster who gets hurt. And to those who have this sentiment and are sympathetic to others knows how painful it is. It hurts, HF , because I like your stuff too; those quick response pieces are a testament to that. Sorry for the drastic change in mood, but I felt it was necessary to bring it up. By now, I think you know I have a more serious side in addition to my fun and quirky one. But enough with this heaviness! Let's turn our attention to the future, in the month of little mischevious men in green, clovers, and pots of gold at the end of rainbows. I may or may also do something St. Patrick's day related... but then again, the Teisel model's got green in it already...

I wouldn't call the image-based responses to RMDL spam at all, since they're actually relevant. I'm just mildly concerned about lurkers confusing Lucina's art for official art at any point in time, including a potential far-flung future. We've never really had many instances of the same person repeatedly making art in another person's project thread who wasn't also making art in that project (the only other time I can think of was more like a one-off thing for a special occasion). So not so much like a rule infraction, just something for me to consider in reference to making sure everyone gets credit for their own work and everyone's work is findable. In any case, mirroring the images here should clear up any possible confusion.
Also, Super Mario Galaxy was indeed a purple coin nightmare to 100%. Congrats.

Due to a number of factors (being busy with a big side project + family interferences,) this month's wave has fewer entries and two originally planned for March are postponed until April. But hey, at least unlike Capcom I don't straight up cancel anything I plan to post here - I can guarantee you all on that! Just thought I'd let you all know ahead of time. First, the continuation of the MMX2/Legends wireframe series, starring some of your favorite characters, including: Teisel Bonne MegaMan Volnutt (no helmet) Bon Bonne and Roll Caskett Comments:
Teisel: This one was pretty interesting to construct. Besides Bon and certain other characters that will appear later in the series, Teisel's head has a fundamentally different shape from the rest of the cast and had to be made from scratch as a result. The only thing that still bothers me about it is that the spikes for his hair are a bit too short.
MegaMan: No, he's not ill. An untold rule I gave myself for these sculptures is that they can only use up to 3 colors, and so I picked the ones that best suited Trigger the most, though he's not wearing his helmet. This one's probably my favorite one for this wave's sculpts because of how spot on the hair looks compared to his original game model. Oh yeah, and all the character models are based on their appearance in MML1, for those curious.
Bon Bonne: This was my laziest model yet (I spent only barely 2 hours constructing it,) but still amazed by how much like Bon the model still resembles the original despite its flaws. Nevertheless, I wanted to make Bon so that he gets represented and not get left out.
Roll: My second favorite of this bunch (Teisel's a close third for me.) My only problem with this one is that here is no way to get a clear view of the front of her face with the shapes composing the back side of her hair cluttering up the lines on her face.
Next month's entries will include some of the more despicable characters like Lex Loath and Glyde, as well as Data and a Servbot. (I may make Denise Marmalade in a future update, but not for April.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Checks today's date)
I really hope you like cream on your apricot pie, Trigger. Because I'm gonna cream you with it! (Happy Pi day a.k.a. I'm such a nerd. ) I have more to come early next week. Just need a few more polishes here and there...

WARNING! The following post contains various crossovers of MML with popular anime, other video game franchises, and even content within itself. Viewer discretion is advised (yeah, riiiight...) I've finally decided to re-post all the stuff that have been featured in HF's threads (if you've seen all this, skip to the bottom for new content. ) SSJ God Roll: Ah yes, this one. Made her into this because her hair was already a golden color so picturing her as a Super Saiyan was difficult/underwhelming. So I made this in response. I've done lots of DBZ crossovers back in my teens, so this one was a breeze to come up with. Also, the base sketch and colors for the image as a bonus. Parabola Arm and Flutter Arm: If Roll was playable she'd totally make these special weapons with the hidden stash of money she keeps locked up in a safe in her closet to help out Rock when he really needed it. It keeps him from turning into a Gary Stu-like character, or whatever the heck it's called... Chicken Trigger: A response to one of the panels in Rockman DASH Legends, after Roll saves him from Bon Bonne and he's shaken by her weapon prowess. Inspired by Cojiro, the blue Cucco from Ocarina of Time. I bet he tastes delicious when cooked with a blend of 11 different herbs and spices under the pressure cooker... KFT... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If the images are actually relevant to the discussion, why not both? :v It's not like we don't sign our stuff or have overly similar styles. SULucina: On that note, we could collab on something. Wish granted. Apologies for the unauthorized use of your intellectual property. I second that. Though, only temporarily. Honestly, I made this out of the dissatisfaction I felt after completing the last SSJ God Roll pic. Don't get me wrong, I still dig the original, and has its advantages over the new version, but that aura man. It took a majority of my time while shading the base sketch seen above, and admittingly was a messy attempt at drawing Saiyan aura directly in GIMP. And so for the redraw, I decided to create the aura again in GIMP but this time using my current knowledge of the program. I'll admit, the glowing aura directly in contact with Roll was the product of me playing around with the brush options. I was definitely going for a movie poster feel this time. And yeah, I probably most definitely butchered the katakana for "Rockman DASH Legends" on the original title card in an attempt to pretty it up. Let me know what I did wrong... Psst! HF , if you want to, I could link you a copy of the image in a PM and sign it too (and then edit this post later.) After all, this wouldn't have came to existence without your help!
