Also, my sentiments exactly about purple, Teisel, at least that of a certain macguffin that is. (Not to mention, green's my favorite color too!) This is my first real attempt at drawing the leader of the Bonne family, which would explain why his form/linework is slightly less polished than the other two - I have more experience with Roll, Tron, and Triggs. I chose to give him a suit not unlike that of the one he wore on board the Sulphur Bottom in MML2, save the fact that it's green and white. Out of all the characters in the series, Teisel would best suit a role as a leprechaun (I tried to give him red hair at one point, but it didn't look right to me...) For a time, I was stuck on what to do with the background; I needed something to fill in that left corner especially and I didn't feel like putting him up against some generic flat sheet with clovers or shamrocks on it. So, I decided to reference some of the golden loot the Bonnes have obtained on their many (mis)adventures. I wished I could have included more treasures, though there isn't alot of stuff that is explicitly gold in the series (that isn't a live Reaverbot, so King Mirocs don't count!!!) I spent forever trying to think on what to put in that blasted background, which also explains why it's still kinda empty. Maybe I should save those ideas for next year's St. Paddy's Day... On the subject of titles, I came up with two: " A Pretty Zenny" (as opposed to "a pretty penny") and " At the End of the Rainbow Refractor." For more obvious reasons, I prefer the latter. And admittingly, I just traced photos my hands to get them the way they look here. I still hate drawing hands... Well, that does it for this month's update. Yeah, I know, a bit lackluster in the number department, but next month's will contain stuff I didn't get to finish/start on due to time constaints in addition to the regularly scheduled material. Stay tuned in mid April for the next! And remember, GREEN POWER PREVAILS! *coughing* okay, I'm done impersonating Teisel for now.

If the images are actually relevant to the discussion, why not both? :v It's not like we don't sign our stuff or have overly similar styles. SULucina: On that note, we could collab on something. Wish granted. Apologies for the unauthorized use of your intellectual property. I second that. Though, only temporarily. Honestly, I made this out of the dissatisfaction I felt after completing the last SSJ God Roll pic. Don't get me wrong, I still dig the original, and has its advantages over the new version, but that aura man. It took a majority of my time while shading the base sketch seen above, and admittingly was a messy attempt at drawing Saiyan aura directly in GIMP. And so for the redraw, I decided to create the aura again in GIMP but this time using my current knowledge of the program. I'll admit, the glowing aura directly in contact with Roll was the product of me playing around with the brush options. I was definitely going for a movie poster feel this time. And yeah, I probably most definitely butchered the katakana for "Rockman DASH Legends" on the original title card in an attempt to pretty it up. Let me know what I did wrong... Psst! HF , if you want to, I could link you a copy of the image in a PM and sign it too (and then edit this post later.) After all, this wouldn't have came to existence without your help!(Would comment more on it later, but busy right now)
Aw man, I kinda hoped you asked me before using that logo. Because I would have provided you with a hi-res PNG of it to make it look even nicer.
That aside, her power is truly maximum. Now, would we get Legendary Super form of Roll?

Understandable, take your time. Also, I could mail you the background image if you want me to, in its pure unadulterated PNG format. Give me a little time to find it (it's on my other computer...) Yessssss! You drew Teisel! I like how he turned out, hope you stick with it because he can be a lot of fun to work with! Glad you liked the result. There's definitely the chance that he'll show up again in a future piece later this spring (probably not in April, though... but we'll see.)

(Checks post date, realizes that Easter's already over) Well, exuuU UUUUUUuuse me!!! Oh well, I'll get it right next year. I guess better late than never. Happy belated Easter, MMLS! *scratches head* If you've been paying attention to my previous entries, you may recognize this Data; well, other than the purple fur and bunny ears, obviously. The Data in this pic is a modifaction of the same model used for the Pizza Data texture featured in last year's Secret Santa entry to ravenf6. For those wondering, the egg designs are based on 3 of the many gifts to Roll: the pink flower and music box from MML1, and the plush doll penguin from MML2. A few snapshots at the vanilla Data model. The Pizza Data graphic. Always toasted to "perfection" (as in burned 'til black .) Also, what's Easter without some painted eggs? Collectively, I call this "Mega Man L(Egg)ends," but if you want me to stop creating punny titles, just tell me... or maybe I might refuse to listen... at least I think I'm clever *grumble, grumble*... Definitely inspired by Chiz 's MML egg gifs, though I took a different approach to the subject matter. I attempted at the very least to get a rainbow as well as equal(ish) representation for the existing 3 MML titles. For those wondering, yes these eggs are fake (and sorry no Easter grass, no thanks to the viral situation) but the obvious advantage of that is that they keep for virtually forever . I reckon might continue this for next year. Red: Red Balloon from the Balloon Fantasy minigame (MML) Orange: Bon Bonne's head (MML, MML2, MoTB) Yellow: Animal Hospital gold statue (MoTB) Green: Original take on Rover, the stuffed Reaverbot (MML) Blue: Engurbots (MML2) Purple: Sera's stasis field (MML2), not my favorite... Black: Bonne Bomb (MML, MML2, MoTB) White/Beige: Elysium (MML2) A closer look at a selection of the eggs: a.) b.) c.) a.) Another angle of Bon's head. Shot at a better angle (and with my fingers in the picture. Hello, fingers.) b.) Though it's not apparent in the collective shot, the Bonne bomb egg has patches of glossy Bonne skull-shaped spots. c.) The crest of Elysium. Painting that thing on a round surface like this is tough... d.) e.) d.) Another angle at the golden statue from Tron Bonne. The darker areas have been painted with a dark gold tint. I don't know why I like depicting this thing; maybe because I love gold... e.) Demonstrating that Rover can stand up straight. Good boy. [audience complaining, bickering]A bit disappointed? Don't worry, your regular scheduled updates will continue sometime tomorrow. I just wanted to get the (late) holiday stuff out of the way first.

All right! Time for the main event! Firstly, I had mentioned in last month's update that there were two missing entries. Well, here they are... In my headcanon, the Master is attended by 3 Servitor Units: Ancilla, Lucina, and this girl - Nova (short for the Latin word for "razor," novacula.) If it isn't obvious enough, her design is based on Cut Man from classic series Mega Man; in fact, she was supposed to look more like Cut Man in her inital phases until I decided against it. Her primary function is... well, you take a guess. Like Ancilla, Nova lacks the ability to transform. At least, she doesn't threaten me with scissor-related puns when my actions cause all 3 of us to be reprimanded. And yes, that device she's holding is her hair pruning tool. And this is the Hannya Blaster 9001, a.k.a. the Kamehameha Buster. I'm not totally sure if this would fit into RMDL, seeing how absolutely OP this thing is. It's design is inspired by HannyaNED, an oni mech from MM7's Wily fortress. Why would I model this gun after this boss specifically, you ask? I don't know, I just felt like making another reference to the classic series . ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anddd... here are the next four entries for the MML wireframe series. Lex Loath Glyde Loath Servbot Data Weren't expecting me to model the Servbot's and Data's entire bodies, eh? For smaller subjects, I plan to sculpt their entire bodies rather than just their heads. Now, to give my input on these models: Lex Loath: Probably the most despised character in the series. Yet another model that required me to reconstruct the head from scratch. I think I made him look creepier than he already is, the power-hungry creep. Glyde: Ugh, not exactly proud of this one. If you couldn't tell by it's shape, this model's directly based off of the Servitor Unit Lucina head. But that's not the reason why I kinda don't like this model; it has to do with his hair. I thought MegaMan was going to be the most challenging in terms of hair, but I guess I was wrong. For those wondering, I don't import models and then try to make these sculptures; I only use images to create these. Servbot: Again, all sculpts depicting characters from MML1 onward are based on their appearance from the first game. The Servbot's no exception. Now that I think of it, repositioning his arms and legs to make him panic would be funny. *I just noticed a "bumping" motion with the animation; I'll try to get that fixed by tomorrow. How did I not catch that?!* Phew! All fixed now. Data: Ah yes, Data. How many times do I have to depict you in this given update? The thing that irks me a bit about this one is that the body is a little more elongated than usual. But other than than that, I think I've done a fair job with him. For May's wireframe entries, it's going to be quite the mixed bag of characters from the series, featuring Tuttle from MoTB, Barrell Caskett, a Birdbot, and Servitor Unit Phoebe (yes, one of my OCs. You can tell I'm running out of interesting subjects when I start resorting to my own brain progeny.) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, who upset Roll this time?! "Is that another word for 'casket'?" Here's my attempt at turning her into a Legendary Super Saiyan. Honestly, I didn't want to make her super ultra mega-edition buff, given her tiny frame. In the end, I made her look physically more like an Ultra SSJ in as a result. It's been a while since the last time drawn any really muscular/ripped characters, years even, and my rustiness is there for all to see. I used a similar effect to the SSJ Blue Roll to make the aura, and then I decided to play around with the smudge tool. Also, sorry I didn't draw anything below her waist; didn't feel like drawing this form's "thunder thighs." I have SSJ Blue and LSSJ Roll done, so which shall I do next? Kaio-ken? Ultra instinct? Black? Fusion (with who, though. Methinks a Tron fusion would be pretty hilarious.)? Let me know. Speaking of crossovers, Lemmings anyone? Tiny Confession: I've never played a single game of Lemmings in any shape or form... To those unfamiliar with the game, the goal of Lemmings is quite simple - get as many of the lemmings to the end as much as possible/needed. Tron would not be too impressed to see her 'kids' endlessly crumbling into heaps of scrap off of a cliff like this. So, are these guys just really fragile reject Servbots with lemming wigs or lemmings wearing Servbot head masks just to make it look like they're invincible? Don't ask me! I didn't think about this until after I started typing up this post. Aw, heck. Maybe I wanted to see some Servbots go splat. The jittering effect in the rocks is the result of me trying to resize all the frames using my pen and tablet to adjust the size instead of typing in the specified width/height while using the scale tool. And the lack of precision is plain to see in the final result. Never doing that again.

Fun fact: We once did have a serious, not-trolling Loath fan here. He used to be a mod, too. The more you know! I'm sure lightning can strike twice in that regard, maybe you'll have another one pop up if we get a sequel... Oh. Well, *clears throat* if that mod ever returns, or in the case we get another Lex fan out there, I guess I'll just have to keep my big mouth zipped shut about it. *zips mouth shut* Remember how I said that I didn't have any plans for Teisel to show up in this month's update? Well, I guess I kinda lied about that... I literally came up with this after completing the previous few entries. This was supposed to be for Earth Day (4/22), but due to family issues holding me up on every plan I had that Monday before, I never got to start on this when I originally wanted to. But, nonetheless, here's the final result. Not only was digging that big hole in the Clozer Woods a waste of the Bonnes' time and resources, but it probably wasn't so great for the environment as well. Strip mining like that causes a increased rate of erosion, leading to rapid loss of land, especially with the supposed rain storms that region of Kattelox Island gets. Sure, it's easy just to blame the Bonnes on this one, but in the end the monetary system is to blame. Wealth tends to promte greed, that "wanting more" feeling. Alternatvely, if we recall the events of the MoTB, it may be due of the lack of money they had after their last adventure (no thanks to one fickle Servbot.) Regardless of causation, the damage had been done, though it's not the end of the world for Kattelox Island. I'm certain that the Bonnes would be the kind for forgiveness had they been a little more eco-conscious beforehand. Reminded that Earth Day was around the corner, I was inspired by something that Teisel sung during MML Abridged (can't get enough of it, can I?) To sum things up concisely, I've entitled this piece as "It's Not Easy Being Green." Well, that's that for this month's entries. I shall return to updating this gallery in mid May, though that's not everything artsy you'll be seeing from me. I shall return soon, very soon...
[And now, I can finally drop the Sigma façade. Or was it a "fay-cade"?]

It's probably poison oak or some other invasive tree species. Too bad Chiz's no longer working on that paper anymore... Have to run in a bit, but gotta comment on this one. Nice. She wouldn't make a beatable boss for sure, even if you could play as Sera in her most powerful OP goddess form, or that and she & Juno fused together ("Jera".........) Yeesh.

(Nevermind about that last bit. Scratch that out.)Oy. As a heads up, depending whether or not I can finish the rest of these this week will determine how these next few entries will be posted. This may only total to the length of 2 posts; though they will contain more than one image. The rest of these will be released later this week. But for now, here's the very belated Mother's Day special with everyone's favorite (and only) Mother Units! Starring the loveable Mistress Yuna! And her less popular counterpart, Mistress Sera. Between the two, I think you know which one of these I personally prefer by now. Her pose, the color scheme used, and more crucially, her form is what makes this depiction of Yuna more likeable from a design perspective versus Sera's. Sera's simpler appearance never clicked with me (neither have her executive commands over Elysium System, but that's besides the point,) plus I wanted to use a different color scheme from Yuna's for her. So, I had to add some kind of dynamic to the picture to make her look more interesting - that pink tulip from MML1 (again.) Kind of sad, really. In addition, I wanted a different composition for Sera's drawing, and this is what I came up with. Even though Sera is supposed to be the main focus of this piece, as she still is the most detailed of the three objects, it kinda doesn't feel that way. I think that in my attempt to make Sera's image different from Yuna's I accidentally made her less interesting than had I put her on the left as I did with the Terran Mother Unit. For the record, these two were originally supposed to be in one single composition, not two separate ones, but I couldn't for the life of me position these two so that their poses would be different from one another and at the same time balance the "weight" of the composition. Plus, having Terra behind Yuna and Elysium behind Sera makes much more sense than both of them in the same setting with either Terra or Elysium behind the two. If Pitch were still here, he'd be using this as further evidence that Yuna is the superior of the two Mother Units. But, alas. (shrugs) And now for something a bit different... An even simpler pic than Sera's, here we have the slightly younger Matilda embracing her daughter Roll lovingly after receiving a card from her. If it wasn't obvious enough, this is supposed to be like an old-fashioned photograph where the transfer between the negative and the photo paper. But where's my signature crest thingy? Surely there was meant to be more in this piece than there really is, like a wallpaper pattern or a framed pic of the Flutter. This piece is, indeed, unfinished; an example of one of those instances where I want to draw a specific set of characters a certain way and no matter how hard I try to fix the problems the end result ends up being wonky as a result. Essentially speaking, a reject. Now, what would even give me the idea that it would be okay to expose my occasional failures? For one, it highlights a few of my current weaknesses: a.) drawing Matilda (don't know why,) b.) two characters hugging, especially between two people of different body sizes, and c.) children. This is, believe it it not, my second attempt at trying to draw these two doing exactly thing here. Remember that Tron pic from the holidays with the Colossus refractor? That was originally going to be Matilda and Roll in their bonding moment (it was also supposed to be Christmas-themed, though.) I don't know why I'm finding her difficult to draw specifically. As for a second reason, I've just recently came up with a more creative, clever way to depict Roll's mom celebrating her Mother's Day, but I haven't the time to conjure that up with the current situation. I figured it be an excellent sort of "redemption" fodder for June's updates. The thing is, with this new idea is not without some compromises; the piece will just feature Matilda, and Roll is physically absent from the picture. Instead of being in direct contact with her daughter, I plan to have her depicted her holding a gift of Roll's. I'll definitely still make this aforementioned piece, but then you would've missed out on Roll actually hugging her mom had I just chose not to show this (and the fact that my work continues to vary in quality occasionally. ) Like last month, the wireframe and regular stuff will be present in the next post sometime later this week. Again, happy LATE Mother's Day to you if it applies, or whomever you call mother.

Okay, here's the real deal. This one might be short though. Let's knock those wireframe sculpts out of the way first: Tuttle Barrell Caskett Birdbot Servitor Unit Phoebe Tuttle: It's times like these where I wish I could use more colors. I know now that red is an awful color for Tuttle's hair. Barrell: Same goes for this one, just with a different color from the last. Keeping the 3-color limitation, I didn't want to make Barrell's skin the same as Tuttle's, and since he's got green eyes... yeah, and this happened. Now he looks like slightly more accurate version of the Barrell after the Sulphur Bottom stopped spinning around in that storm in MML2. Birdbot: I'm pretty sure I screwed up its proportions, but it serves these little pests right. Could've given him one of those mace things or a bazooka, but again they don't deserve special treatment, keh keh keh! and uh, Servbots > Birdbots. SU Phoebe: Regrettably the best-looking one of the bunch. I say regrettably because the fact of the matter is that we don't get along (and also the fact that a fan character is besting her canonical peers is a bit bothersome.) Her devilish appearance is on par with her personality; she's cruel, obnoxious, and a saucebox to anybody to whom she gets assigned to. No wonder Yuna decided to give her to another hapless Unit. Speaking of the System, next month's WF entries will include Juno, Gatz, Sera, and Geetz. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *clears throat* Since simply just flipping the bird was too tame for me, I decided on a more, um... metaphorical approach to this one. When I was brainstorming on what to do with this one, the first thought I had was of Roll holding the chickenified Rock like a rifle Banjo-Tooie style but then Col. Pluck from DKC Returns (boss of the factory world) also came to mind. Ultimately, I chose to build on the latter of the two ideas. I mean, Roll's a brilliant mechanic; why wouldn't/couldn't she do something like this? You may notice that the mech that Chicken Trigger's using to pwn Tron is a combination of 3 of the pirate lady's creations: the Feldynaught, the Balcon Gelede, and Theodore Bruno (wanted to add the Fokkerwolf but couldn't make it work, also the missle launcher was my idea.) There's something so satisfying about using your enemies own weapons against them, especially when their effectiveness is enhanced by the supreme skills of a master mechanic. Talk about getting a taste of your own medicine. And yes, those skull emblems on Tron's earrings are frowning. Now that I look at it, that chimera of a mech looks like a giant Sharukurusu. *shivers* --------------------------------------- Golly, I keep finding new ways to interpret a simple quote. Being eco-friendly isn't the only kind of "green" there is... I'd imagine Teisel probably would place his mug on legal tender if he was given the choice and then pass it off as real money. He could've made something like this and given it to Lex Loath instead of actually paying him 1 million zenny. Regardless, we all know what happened in the end. Again, Loath wouldn't fooled by Teisel's counterfeiting skills and would've still have been captured regardless because let's face it; there wouldn't be no misadventures for Tron Bonne (okay, not really because Loath would've then claimed that Teisel owed him interest on his interest.) The bill's design is inspired by the 2019 redesign of the Japanese ten-thousand yen note. This was meant to be more of an exercise in design than a serious piece. Every design element was ripped directly from MoTB, including Diana's Tear, which is situated behind the big "1000000" on the left. Had I had more time to spare, I would've finished the backside of the bill which features the Gessellchaft, but oh well. No really, this month's been rough trying to keep up a good pace on these; there have been a few home improvement projects in the beginning of the month as well as being forced to help clean up the house in wake of the whole pandemic fiasco. Better safe than sorry, but that's time I can't claim back. Plus, I've had to deal with an ant invasion in my workspace. Well, I'll see you back hopefully a little earlier in June with a focus on Juno among other things. For the wireframe series, I have one last one after next month and any more sculpts afterward will only be done by request. That way, I'll have more time to work on the works that really matter (because let's face it; not too many folks come to see those structures of cylinders anyway. }

(groan) This wave may be a bit short in the number department, but I'd prefer quality over quantity (like March, ughhh.) In addition, our house is in the beginning phases of a long slew of renovations. But one house that doesn't need home improvements is my underground ruin gallery! It might be a bit dirty but that's because the visitors don't take off their freakin' shoes before they come in! Alright, enough pandering. Time for the entries! First, the next-to-last Mega Man X2 inspired wireframe models: Sera Gatz Geetz Juno Overall, this turned out to be a better set of sculpts than expected. Now, regarding each character: Sera: After drawing her vanilla last month for Mother's Day, I thought I should do something a bit less expected this time. And so, I decided to make the combat-ready version of her cranium. I guess it's fortunate that Sera has 3 forms, eh? Gatz: Yay! Gatz finally gets some love in this gallery! Like Sera, this was another character that I had to spruce up in order to make his wireframe head more interesting looking, and in the end I think nailed it (as well as being my personal favorite of this group.) I spent nearly 2 hours constructing that Reaverform mini next to his head; a 2 hours well spent I think. Oh, and uh, I hope you noticed that I took the time to make his head rounder to match his appearance, but if you didn't... aw, heck... Geetz: Fun Fact - all these sculptures were created using Yuna's model as a base (who's inevitably based on Lucina's model .) Like Gatz's model, I also decided to include his dragonesque form along side his head. Also, like Gatz's model, I also reshaped his head and face to get his likeness as much as possible. Personally, I feel like this definitely the weakest of the group though. Grumble, grumble... Juno: Compared to the rest of the System Units featured here, Juno will always be a step ahead. *crickets chirping* *distant booing*
Get it, because when Trigger defeats him, he's... a head... oh, never mind...
But in all seriousness, this model turned out pretty well and is probably my 2nd favorite from this update. Again, this is one of those times were I wish I could override the 3-color rule for once and give his face a peachy tone, but, ehh, it is what it is. But at least I do eventually get to draw Juno in his true colors. But that'll be for something a bit later (hint, hint!) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And now, time for what I like to call the "Redemption Round." Remember me saying that I would work on this piece again and make it better? Welp, here ya go. (Third time's the charm?) ...that arm part looks suspiciously familiar. I wonder what Roll actually did with that thing...
This was the idea I had just before posting last month's stuff. It goes without saying that this work received more TLC than it's predecessor, not only in the line work but also in the shading as well. However, I must point out that the fact that the previous version was drawn in a sepia-ish palette of sorts does not automatically make it bad (okay, to some people it is a deal breaker); the line work was questionable and that moreover made the rest of the piece suffer as a result. It was made to look old on purpose to fit the whole "in the past" aesthetic. Roll may be absent in the composition, but her contribution to her mom is clear. Now, I wonder how much zenny she spent on that bouquet... Oh! Uh, whoops, I also forgot that Father's Day was a thing... and I'm posting this Mother's Day work the day after... and I have nothing to show for that... well, um, uh... crap... *looks left and right, scratches head in embarrassment* I guess this would be an opportune moment to ask if I should I make something to make up for it for July or not; I don't know - maybe something with Barrell in it? There aren't a lot of prominent (living) father figures in the series... not to mention the fact that the Bonne siblings' dad is probably M.I.A. and their mom is dead...so is the Master...)

And this is the reason I don't ever keep my mouth shut... Well, well, this is probably a first for this gallery. But Lucy, you've drawn these kinds of crossovers before; what's so different about this one? Well, I can say upfront that this is probably the first time I've had to censor anything (hint, it's not Tron. For the record, I don't do that NSFW sexual stuff, because I just simply don't care for it. But that cod piece still, I swear...) Yep, as suggested, this is a tone-downed version of the original vision. When I was first sketching this, I thought nothing of it. That was, until I began to add the shading did I start to notice that the extra details were making this seem darker than I'd like it. Personally, I wouldn't have been so punchy about showing the innards of a broken mech for example. But in this case, it's a bit different - it's a beloved character's internal parts. So, I did what I could, and removed the inner bits that were sticking out of the Servbot's head (wow, this the second time I've depicted dead/dying Servbots... not sure how I feel about that .) If you still want to look at the original drawing, one can do so here. There's no "blood" or anything comparable to such in this version either, but I felt like I've still crossed a line between what's passable and what's verboten.
Serious talk aside, I'm sorry, HF ; it's just another one of those "I couldn't resist" moments and I didn't get to see your response before I took a hike from the forums to start working on these pieces. I guess I just wanted an excuse to draw another MML character with golden SSJ hair. Besides, Tron's popped off more often than not in the games proper and I'm sure that if she could just learn channel her ki, this would have been the result. As for Bon Bonne, he's safe as far as I'm concerned because I've likened that head compartment thingy of his to the Absolutely Safe Capsule from Mother 3. Though, she's relegated to SSJ1 because it would only take her a moment to realize that she could just stop and repair the Servbot. Then, she'd return to her base form shortly after and would stay that way for a while. Still, I could see this as being the end result of her throwing a tantrum after learning that her hairbrush went missing was sold off for zenny. (!!!) I think know what to do for next month... hehehehehehe...
