For me, Forbidden Island was a location I always felt was a little too... mild. A place where so many people have been lost could've been a lot more scary. I mashed up the style study below in a few undisturbed minutes. The cube represents the size of the player carrying around an orange lamp. Sound wise I just imagine dead silence except for a slight wind - not the storm from the game, the crunching of your boots in the snow, the ever watchful eyes of reaverbots gleaming in the distance, a soft buzz from the light. Strong snowfall, of course, and the sun being blotted out almost completely by the storm clouds above, severing you completely from the world outside. Who knows; maybe when I'm done with my thesis I'll flesh this out a little. Edit: OFC I know stuff like that wasn't possible on the psOne ^^

You've done a great job of taking Forbidden Island and making the atmosphere dark and spooky. I like the whole closed off, dead silence and being watched thing going on. Be cool having it be the Poh reavers watching and when you get close they 'disguise' themselves. Roaming herds of Mammoo patrolling the island. The empty noise pierced by the howl of the Wolfon. I'm sure Roll would be happy to build a flashlight arm special weapon. Can't wait to see more of this and other locations.
