Vinjell is based on jellyfish and vines. It will focus energy into its’ tentacles during certain attacks allowing the player to safely strike, but not touch its’ bell. Abilities: Root: Vinjell lands on the ground launching its' tentacles into the surface. They proceed to quickly emerge under and around the player repeatedly for a short period of time, performing a spin. Homing Shot: Slow moving balls of energy that form on the blue feeder tentacles. They detach periodically as Vinjell moves above the surface, growing faster and in greater numbers as the battle progresses. Charge: Vinjell spins wildly while attempting to ram the player releasing homing shots in the process. (Its’ top is facing the player during this move.) Swipe: Vinjell moves toward the player swinging its’ tentacles to cause damage. Passive damage: Touching the tentacles at any time causes damage. The feeder tentacles will quickly drain life away if they touch the player. Invisibility: Used after fifty percent of Vinjell’s life is gone. This makes the battle more difficult since the player can only see the glowing portions of Vinjell’s body while attacks are being performed. It's slightly larger than a Hanmuru Doll.

Frightenmeji. A colossal giant of a Master reaverbot, just five inches shorter than a Wojigairon, with a blue hermit crab like shell studded down the middle with dangerous spikes, and limbs similar to an ape although it moves more like a spider. It's weak points are on the orbs of it's limbs. In order to land one hit, you would have to hit them three times each to make him fall, then hit him in the eye. Abilities/attacks: Stomp: Just that. A simple stomp. Ramming Speed Charge: His eye will blink while making a beeping noise three times, then he'll charge with a ramming headbutt. With his shoulders facing forward as well. Optical Torch: The dots around his eye with flicker red. Then his eye will glow, and will shoot a flamethrower that will follow your every move for approximately seven seconds. Steam Breath: When he's almost finished, his mouth will open. Letting out steam that will burn you if you get in contact with it. Attack pattern: He'll basically roam around and do any of the first three moves at random like a classic reaverbot boss battle, but when he's nearly defeated he'll start spewing his Steam Breath every fourth move.

All those entries. *-*
I think i'll have to redo mine a lot, i made the body thinking of simplicity but all these awesome entries aren't using simple geometric bodies at all. I don't know what to do.
Anyway, is there any restriction on the media we choose to display the design?

This submission is more about the look and scare of the reaverbot so I don't have much text for you. I can see the reaverbot's weak point being on it's legs if you want to fight it with the cane, but you could maybe use elements in the ruins to your advantage to make the fight go quicker. Maybe the living habits of this reaverbot make the rooms it dwells in consistently the same. I guess to elaborate, there could be loose rock on the walls that you could cause to fall on the reaverbot, the reasoning for this could be that it's so big and clumsy that it's always knocking into the walls and loosening the structure, that would give an excuse for you to always be able to count on that element when encountering this guy. EDIT: I thought I'd point out that he wears the shield from the museum in MML1 so maybe that could be a weak point, like he leaned to the ground to snap at you. I don't care how you use it in the end though, I just hope my design makes it into the game n_n Note: This was originally for the Devroom hence Volnutt.

Well I can't say "No" flat out, because obviously we wouldn't want a piece of music or something that's supposed to portray a reaverbot and its battle in an abstract way. XP I'm guessing you're thinking along the lines of showing your design in a video? That would be perfectly fine.

Not really planning on doing so, but if i felt like doing it then it would feel better now that i know it is allowed. Thanks!

Hi, I'm MegaGoemon from Capcom Unity/Devroom. I'll be posting my reaverbot design from the Reaver boss event, 3 images to show it, I hope you get the concept and anything can be edited. I'll explain anything either later or when asked and I hope you'll like it .. Boss name is Pha-O-rochi better resolutions are available. ok in short this boss can be destroyed in 4 stages. first is the pharoh tombstone like were you escape the laser and .. well annoy that eye on the ground. once you do (or just grab that refractor) the tombstone will transform into that beast, destroy all red crystals and whats left is the cofin+the big eye and the back bone that held the structure shapes up like a Cobra and a new eye will appear from the cofin back. defeat it by hitting the tail big eye (it won't be destroyed yet) and then finally the two eyes are alone .. defeat each and the boss is done for. btw, the purple eye is Orochi (snake) and the paige one is Pharoh. the Pharo eye is much stronger than the snake eye. as short as I could please PM me in Capcom unity for any questions. also please, these drawings are to be used for this contest only. Thank you

herowho.deviantart.com/art/Reaverbot-Entry-337900008?ga_submit_new=10%253A1353006440 After a while of thinking, I could think of anything better than a top. This Reaverbot, who's name I can't think of, is a top with spiraling blades on it. The main Reaverbot, which is the yellow one, is impervious to attacks. The way to damage it is to knock the smaller red tops into it. I was thinking that the red tops wouldn't be able to do actual damage but would only knock Tuttle down if he bumbs into them. I was also thinking that every top that hits the main one would explode, giving you less tops as the battle goes on. The main top is as big as the Hanmaru Doll, while the red tops were half that size. You may change the design of the Reaverbot and the battle if you wish.

The Ghaored is roughly the size of a Hanmaru Doll. It will fight any digger that took the refractor in its dungeon but stay hidden underground if not provoked. It has a very strong charge attack with its claws and occasionally spin its body to get maximum damage. Also, it has a charge particle lazer and invulnerable while charging the lazer.

so many cool and interesting ideas!
so far i have some things that strike me that i love and some things that i think render the reaverbot too difficult or that i think can be tweaked design wise.
@denchil i really like this reaverbots design, its like an 'anti-colossus" while as the reaverbot colossus has the element of thunder and sky this guy looks more grounded and earthquake-y, for lake of better words, despite your description. something that i think can use some work is battle progression, because i think itll be too hard for a melee character like tuttle to deal with a large reaverbot with a rotating attack as well as a reaverbot that chases you. itll be to hard for him to run away and approach and attack all at once.
@roa
the design looked complicated at first, but its interesting and weird; like most reaverbot designs. my major problem is the fact that he has a 'helicopter' armspan of length attack. it would be impossible for tuttle as a melee character to dodge this unless there is a large pause, which is contradictory to the whole gargantuan but fast theme.
@frightenmeji I think this design can have more potential then can be seen at first glance. a change i would like to see is that the 'slots' you designed around his eyes begin to glow red one by one before his charge move instead of a blink. especially since not many, if any, reaverbots have exhibited the function of 'blinking'.
@scores Design I enjoyed this even during the ol' devroom competitions. i always loved and had a problem with his design though. i understand the reference in his chest piece/shield thing but i dont know if i like it as a design. the reaverbot is large and awesome but the chest piece ends up making him radically different from so many other reaverbots especially that he is so 'normal' in design with a major difference just in a small part of its 'chest'.
@megagoemon Hey bro! as always i think your concept is cool, but a little too complex. i would really like if your design was more so just the second image, with the snake like reaverbot in the third image as a supporting enemy that adds danger.
@wingrider very interesting, its very cool and interesting, but a little too natural? i think itll be more interesting and reaverbot like if you changed to feet to something more reaverbot-like. i really like the face and its claws even though it makes it kind of obvious to what it is... i would prob change that that a little bit. nothing too drastic.
this competition hasn't been as active as i hoped so far, so i thought id just put in my two pennys to keep it active and stuff.

Zaiy, HI Zaiy glad to see you're active .. hope everything went well with you, let us know the good news when its due ok, what you've said is not far from truth (comlpexity wise) but they still can edit whatever they like .. skip stages if needed. The whole concept though is built upon those two eyeballs .. Pharoh and Orochi driving that thing .. what seemed to be so scary is nothing but those two balls of argument XD

I seem to have trouble with the images while using my phone, but i only can't see the images to my submission, does anyone have this problem, or does anyone else see the pics to my submission?
@megagoemon So i will be competing against my favourite submission from the original devroom contest...... all my chances of winning have completely disapeared now.

Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated! I envisioned the "helicopter" attack to have a visual cue to give you a chance to get away, but you bring up good points...What would you suggest instead?

Reversehero There are 5 main islands in this game, one seems desert like and one is arctic I believe. The reaverbot you make should be neutral so that it can be placed within a dungeon in any of those islands. They aren't looking for bosses of any specific island or gate.
