Forgive me for hopping in out of nowhere, but Dashe asked me if I might come and lend some support... I'm not sure she'll be delighted with what I'm going to say here, but coming in as an impartial observer and taking the thread at its face value (without knowledge of who has said what to whom or about what in other places prior), I'm seeing a lot of different opinions of equal validity here.
I didn't even know/remember we had a Legends 3 Revival Movement sub-forum. @_@ In realizing that, I'm in total agreement that a place where people are banding together to keep the series alive is most definitely not the place to be posting negativity toward people banding together to keep the series alive. It's a no-brainer, really. However, given the first post in the thread and the flow of conversation following, I don't see anything wrong with karkatvantas's posts. It seems to me the one to blame is Benjamin for starting a topic of this nature where it didn't belong.
That's not to say that I think all people with negative or realistic (depending on your own point of view) attitudes toward the revival should leave MMLS behind or be forced keep their mouths shut--assuming they have something valid to say and aren't merely out to annoy or discourage others. After all, before MML3 came along we had years of people expressing their opinion that the series would never again see any activity. How many MML3 petitions did we see in our ten year wait? It wasn't any big deal when someone expressed an opinion that said petitions would never go anywhere, so it shouldn't be any big deal when someone expresses an opinion that the fans' efforts won't revive MML3 in the end. Yes?
I don't know what else to add without sounding redundant, but this is a place for Legends fans to discuss Legends and right now the revival movement is a major topic of conversation that should be open to both sides. I'm not particularly optimistic that we'll see MML3 resumed, but none of us can see the future so let the hopeful hope and the doubtful doubt, while each respecting the other side's opinions.

I don't think anyone is being negative here... I for one am being realistic. But no one with their right mind would come here and bring negativity. Negativity = Capcom won't bring it back / I don't even want Legends 3 to come back Realistic = Capcom won't bring it back for reasons stated cleverly in a way that it makes sense without sounding too desperate / wouldn't mind getting Legends 3 I wanted to write a lot more, but between blue screen of death's and other stuff, I just decided to post what I can. If anyone still feels like arguing, just take a look at the picture I posted before.

Negativity: "Move on with your life"/"Anyone who thought _______ would bring back the game is foolish", with no other substance to it or facts involved to back it up. Realistic: "Capcom probably won't bring it back because (insert facts here), but there are no guarantees either way."/"We knew going in that nothing was guaranteed."

Don't confuse simple negativity with pure bashing. People tend to do that at times.
Also, if people never moved on with their life then almost everybody would remain depressed. People need to move on instead of crying over losing a cheating girlfriend/boyfriend. People need to move on over the lose of their relatives. People need to move on from the fact that they are poor and unsuccessful by getting a decent job and working hard to get a raise.
Moving on may sound negative to some people, but it's a better option than losing hope for everything and anything. It's an alternative to trying to recover what was lost, but it's a very good alternative indeed.

Really? Didn't anyone learn any lessons from last time?
Okay, I re-read the whole thing AGAIN. And yes, it's negativity, you say it's realistic, when yet it's nothing more than opinions, and I've seen quite enough of opinions trying to be shoved down people's throats.
And to see all this in the REVIVAL movement post, I don't remember it being called the burial.
You say move on, that's fair enough, I understand, but trying to force your opinions on others... Is just silly, no, in fact, it's dumb.
Now I know there'll be those who'll "challenge" me on this but as you can see I'm here to settle people down, Just because we don't "move on" doesn't mean we'll be unhappy and lose hope, if you wanna move on then do it while keeping quiet.
(I really wish this kinda conversation never occurred to be honest, it's a pain, let's not make more stress than need be)
So let's just zip this thread up and never speak of said thread ever again..
Happy ending for everahbody!

And yes, it's negativity, you say it's realistic, when yet it's nothing more than opinions, and I've seen quite enough of opinions trying to be shoved down people's throats. Arguments: Premise + Premise + Other Premises ---> Logic Process ---> Conclusion Opinions are subjective, so their premises are based on assumptions rather than on facts. The best use of Logic is when your premises are all facts and when the conclusion is valid. Of course, an argument can also be invalid. However, these can be easily contradicted with better premises that actually use facts closer to the truth (As 100% Truth is almost impossible to obtain.) other than biased opinions.

That as may be, it's just for a ~fact~ that this thread hasn't really done any favours now has it? No point in defending the opposing side honestly.
Now once more, with feeling! Let us not speak of this thread ever again~ or delete the thread, either way it does wonders for those who wants no headaches. ^^;

Dude, it's already over. You're just fanning the flames, lol. Moving on may sound negative to some people, but it's a better option than losing hope for everything and anything. It's an alternative to trying to recover what was lost, but it's a very good alternative indeed. I never thought of it this way. You have a good point. I actually like this thread. I think most of us have grown a little. I know I have.

Not me, I'm just here to troll and spread negativity like a really bad person. I'm obviously not using logic, facts or anything so I'm not realistic.
Or you guys can't fucking read. (clarification required)
That goes especially for you, EX. This is the second time you're doing this and I'm starting to think that you really can't read and just looking for keywords when you answer to something. Realistic people = no opinions allowed That already makes me laugh...
Who's forcing who to move on? No one. It was a suggestion. If someone suggests you something, you think about it. There's no force used. Give me a better thread to post these stuff. Mega Man Legends 3 board? That's for the game itself. We don't have a burial sub-forum, so this is the next best place to use.
Again, if you were capable of reading English, you would see that by the time you posted there was no need to "settle" down. Why would anyone who moved on keep quite? It's the I should be banned internet, everyone is allowed to say whatever they want. There are no rules against it. There's nothing against it and I don't think anyone who's already over this should keep quiet. If those who has yet to move on can talk, so can the others.
If you really didn't wanted this whole thing to happen, you could easily ignore it. Why post if it makes you have a headache? The less you post in this thread, the faster it dies anyway.
Adrián: While with Legends 3, 100% truth is far from obtainable, we have enough facts to know that Capcom really doesn't care about it anymore. They said so, even the movement didn't do anything towards the project. Yet. Keyword now is yet. For some reason, they said that this movement won't do anything towards the revival of Legends 3 yet. What to do with that single yet? Is that the ray of hope everyone is looking for?
Sketchy: yes, I'm going to call you Sketchy. Shorter, adds to the family-like feeling this forum has. I actually enjoyed this thread. It's always good to see other realistic people talk about the same thing I want to talk about. I don't think I've grown at all, but I was certainly entertained.
Phew, long-ass post done. Waiting for raging haters.

@ Trnuer Ignorance is bliss, haters are gonna hate, ironically you're a hater..and ignorant. Apparently I can't read, but I got to admit, that was the cutest thing you said ever, too bad you bore me, I know you love me because you keep gunning for me and all that but sorry, I'm taken, but I'm sure you can find a man that loves you as much as you love to spread ignorance.
(all joking aside)
Cool down kid.

wut
How am I a hater? Or while we're at it, ignorant? I fail to see how anyone would end up with that. Anyone else? I wouldn't say you can't read if you were to show your ability to do so. This is the second discussion where you completely misunderstood/misread me, when what I wrote was so obvious, no one else on the face of earth would think about it the way you did. I'm not here to bother you. But believe me if I ever take a liking for you, I'll make sure to contact you outside of this forum. For the time being I'll keep on bitching about anything I can, ok?
I'm cool. Or else I would've been banned a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally long time ago.

Welp, it's been a fun ride kiddies. I think this thread has been forced into a burial. RIP, "Welp..." You probably could have continued on in a civil manner at one point, but apparently you had strong enemies. *hats off to you*
Lessons I've learned:
Moving on does not mean giving up hope.
It's one thing to say, "I wish Megaman Legends 3 was uncanceled" or "It's not the end of the world to me". It's another to try to tell people how they should feel about it being canceled. Saying either "You shouldn't be over this game" and "you need to get over this game" are offensive. Keyword being "You".
Logic and reasoning and realism and idealism don't justify everything.
If a person says "I want this to happen in this way", they will do everything they can to make that thing happen.
Edit: Oh, and not moving on does not always mean not moving on.

*sigh*
I stopped using this site and forum because of this kind of flexing competition, and the general air of "the moderation is always in the right, so shut up."
Nothing has changed.
I've participated in the revival insofar, but I think the recent podcast statement is my cue to dip. I cherish the games, but I'm not especially confident CAPCOM has the sense to bring the series back, and I have a life/career (and Xenoblade) to focus on. I'll be there in Valhalla with you all if Megaman Legends 3 defies all odds and gets released, but until then – best of luck and adieu.

(all joking aside) Cool down kid. I find this post so ironic. It's true: Ignorance is Bliss. That's why you, EX, are trying to find this ignorance. Truner's arguments may not be at all points what you wish they were, but that's the point. Truner's arguments are arguments, as they use factual premises to reach a conclusion. You don't want to accept this conclusion as ignoring it's reality is the best way to go, so you automatically go against Truner as a method of self defense. Your problem is that your biased ignorance won't allow you to understand the logic behind Truner's arguments, so your counter-arguments end up being weak, biased and, worst of all, they don't actually counter any specific thing Truner say in a valid manner. EX, what you say is your seemingly biased opinion. It's not that you don't read what he says. It's that you instinctively refuse to understand what you are reading.

The moderation is always right. Not just on this forum. On every one. There's nothing surprising in this. Admins are the one making forums, they choose mods to keep it alive and running. Of course they're right. Anyways, that's pretty far from the discussion going on. In fact, I think this topic should be THE burial topic. Everyone wanting to talk about this whole stuff could just use this topic to do so.
Sketchy: no need to bury this topic yet. There are still stuff uncovered and everything. Let's just exploit it to it's full content.
Adrián: it might be my rude and asshole-ish manner that makes him want to ignore my points. Well, that's not a problem. I mean, I guess it means that we have something to talk about.
