Very well put Dashe. I completely agree with your assessment.
As a very very long time lurker of Starmen.net and a participant in EBSiege, I'd be happy to help here as well. I feel just as strongly for Legends as I do for Earthbound. As you said, our attachment to the game is our greatest weapon. As a participant in one of these kinds of events, I know that for a fact. I've a particular fond memory of the PK Call'n event when it was ongoing.
Now you see, due to a few conditions in my life, I have developed a pretty extreme case of telephonophobia. So much so that I actually don't own a cell or land-line.
I still called in for that event.
Took a lot of prep time and I hit the "End" button several times before finally actually calling, but I still did it.

I'm not worried all that much about weather or not the game is cancelled. My mom taught me that the more you say it, the more likely it would happen. So the more people assume that MML3 is cancelled, the more they put the game in grave danger. I'm never giving up hope on this project. Not one bit. Besides. If it was cancelled, they'd say so via a blog and shut down the Devroom. Wich they haven't and they won't. Plus, they just wrapped up the Bright Batz Mascott contest just a few weeks ago, so I think they're mapping out Espionawge's submission onto a model and adding the character to the game before they add the finishing touches on the Prototype. And don't forget. This is Capcom we're talking about. Like most Japanese companies, they are always super tight lipped when it comes to top-secret stuff, so a link being taken down is the least we have to worry about.

Considering the news we had received from the Devroom, we can now say that our worries were justified :/. So much for being optimistic yet prepared for the worst.
