@ Dashe: Did he? I would be interested to have a look at it. @ MegaTuga: I had to check the archives for that one; it was only then I noticed the 'brick wall' you were probably referring to. When drawing 'debris' and 'broken pieces', a few examples of things I would keep in mind would be the actual construct of the object to be broken (materials, build, etc), and the force used to cause the damage (smashing, piercing, slashing, explosive, etc). Try it out for yourself while keeping this in mind. Content Update: A new to everyone, and an updated wallpaper in 1080p!

Found it. It was a lot farther back than I remember. She even has a splash mine. The wallpaper looks cool. I also spotted a grammar hiccup I neglected to notice when I looked at the last page. The junk store man should be saying "To think all these things would show up so suddenly!" Not sure why I didn't notice it before. I must be getting old.

That's "SketchMan3". Capital S, capital M and the number 3. It's official (nicknames are ok, though)

Sweet effects on that wallpaper. Found it. It was a lot farther back than I remember. She even has a splash mine. That's just the hotness right there. Mmmhmm... seeing the junk store lady in a new light... Now we just need a "battle damaged" pic with scorched armor and her hair down, the remains of the hair bun thingy clutched in her fist and... oh boy :24: :13:

Hmmm that seems like the logical solution for my problem indeed. Thanks for that HF!
Ah btw that wallpaper is really sweet. I would be tempted to use it if my older sister would not use my laptop whenever she wants...

Great new page and wallpaper HF! Junk man punching through a reaver? Seriously? If all the inhabitants of Kattelox are such badasses the Bonnes are going to have to be terrifying!!!
Also Sketch I think you like that junk lady concept too, too much...

@ Dashe: Thanks for sharing that. Also, grammar's fixed now. Currently working on a project FAQ to put up on the site, and would like to compile and answer any questions some of you may have about RMDL. Edit: Thanks for some of the questions asked in the iScribble session earlier. I'll see how many I can get answered for Wednesday's update. Update: New page and major site update this time! If you have any new questions after reading the new content, please let me know!

I only recently started reading this, but I'm already in love. I especially love that it follows proper manga etiquette, like reading right to left, and having the onomatopoeia in katakana. I would take this manga out to a nice seafood dinner, followed by a long walk on the beach.
Yes. Carry on...

Let's hope you wouldn't take it back to your place. Or is that a sign of quality? I don't know, I don't like this metaphor anymore.
It's nice to see the mirumijee make an appearance after all! Let's hope our hero saves him before he's traumatized!
The FAQ turned out pretty well, it's nice to see more insight on why you started. If I think of more questions that might be good for it I'll message you.

I'll invite it on several more dates. Then I'll bring it back to my house. For some wining and dining and moonlight dancing. Then we'll get married, have children, and grow old together.

@ Mr. Foetus: Thanks! Glad to know you enjoy it! @ Loken: Given that everything's scaled up (as that's what seems to be what others think so far), even Junk Store Man can't escape being harassed by those worms. For the past few days, I'm having thoughts of (finally?) starting a facebook page for RMDL. Any pointers that may be noteworthy before I actually go for it?

I figure Twitter may be better to use since you'll be broadcasting your biweekly updates. What exactly do you have planned for a facebook page?

For the past few days, I'm having thoughts of (finally?) starting a facebook page for RMDL. Any pointers that may be noteworthy before I actually go for it? Hmmmm...The main pointer I'd give you is that, if you want to keep Facebook viewers interested and/or gain followers through that medium, you'll have to update often. I have a Facebook page, but I don't have many likes (foreveralone.jpg) because I only update when I've produced something. You'll find that the pages with more likes are the ones that update frequently. I dunno what you'd casually update with, though. Unless you're like me and really don't care too much. XD As for the Twitter idea, if you're going the general social network route, having a Twitter would be good too. People want information fast and easy these days, so going "cross platform" is good for that. I'm pretty sure you can route your Tweets into the Facebook page automatically, or vise-versa, or something. So you'd only need to update one place and the other would update automatically. Maybe there's a piece of code you can add to your site that will automatically update your other spots whenever you post something new? I'm not too familiar with modern coding and such, so I can't say much in that regard. XD

Interesting note about Twitter; never used it so I should probably look into that option as well.
From what I've read about Facebook, I can make a comic page and post polls, messaging between groups among other functions to help connect with readers better (and keeping it organized for review later).
Up to now I have only been spreading RMDL here (as well as some advertising help thanks to fAB and Dashe), on another forum, and by word of mouth. Perhaps those SNS would be good to try out to get more varied feedback/criticism...?
Edit: @mr. Foetus: My bad; didn't see your post when I was typing my reply. Give me a moment... okay.
Since scheduled updates for RMDL are bi-weekly on Wednesdays (technically on Tuesday nights since I can't make the updates myself when it hits Wednesday in the West), there won't be an 'on a whim' issue for the main comic (if that's the main issue for hobby works). Additional project content like character profiles and weapons would be less frequent for obvious reasons such as long writing time and spoilers, so that won't count for much.
With the current layout of the site's front page, I can't imagine it being hard to add the button/indicators to allow easy access to them (much like how the RSS button is placed in the current version, but will probably change when the features expand anyway).
Needless to say, much more research is needed!

Been thinking on this for a while, and I would like to share my thoughts with everyone else:
What if I were to do a 'ret-con' on the terms and make the JP/EN mix a bit closer to each other?
I recently reviewed the work up to now taking consideration of the early thread comments and some more recent outside feedback; what I found stuck out most were the terms "Digouter" and "Reaverd". After some consideration, I concluded they can be swapped out easily at this stage yet retain its story significance and consistency between languages.
So I guess early weirdness happened; having thought about it a bit more, I suppose "Digger" and "Reaverbot" won't sound too 'ridiculous' in either English nor Japanese.
What do you think?

Honestly I like it how you had it. It's not what we're used to but I find it refreshing. The glossary has the definition of these terms right? Perhaps add in that Reaverd=Reaver and Digouter=Digger.
