As a die hard MML fan, MML3 should be for the home systems, my reasoning for that is, there is nothing holding back the Dev team, no hardware or software limitations "compared to Nintendo 3DS". If it were on the home consoles they would it a wider market of people, and they can put so much more into the game. MML3 should be for everybody to play, but i dont just a ole Nintendo hand-held port over.... those are my thought.

Seems kinda pointless to vote on which system it should be on when that's already decided. Keep in mind that the fact that it's on a handheld doesn't mean it'll be inferior in any way; the processing power is said to exceed the Wii, so content shouldn't be a problem.

I actually like it on 3DS. I don't play for the consoles, I play for the content, and the content alone--so I'm a Legends fan first, a Broadway fan second, and a console fan...never mind. I'm not even INTO console wars. :01:

I guess I like the idea of playing in my living room, on the big tv... If all else fails I'll get a 3DS, but it dosnt have that nostalgic feeling like playing on the PS3 controler

In my mind, before all of this stuff happened, I was envisioning playing Legends 3 on a console, just like the other titles. Seeing Mega Man on the big screen, you know? I even understand the feeling of playing with a Playstation controller - definitely my favourite controller ever - fits perfectly in my hands.... However! The DASH ports on PSP played great. I was suspicious of how well they would play at first, but it worked well (I think my only complaint was having to push two buttons instead of one for the auto-aim, but that's such a minor detail). I'm sure it will feel fine on the 3DS as well.
My opinion of how I feel changes daily sometimes, but for now, all I care about is that I'm getting another Legends game. Regardless of how I envisioned it being, in the end I'm getting my game after almost 10 years. To me, the system isn't as important as the fact the game is being made. :13:

As a die hard MML fan, MML3 should be for the home systems ... As a die hard MegaMan Legends fan, you should be willing to buy whatever system they put it out on. ... it dosnt have that nostalgic feeling like playing on the PS3 controler This logic is tired and faulty. Just because they never released Legends on another system (Oh wait. They DID.).... Just because you've never played Legends on another system, it doesn't mean that it has to be released for Playstation. However! The DASH ports on PSP played great. I was suspicious of how well they would play at first, but it worked well Yes indeed. I swear it felt like Legends was practically made for a portable system. It played as smooth as the Playstation games and then some; and on the PSP's small screen the graphics actually looked pretty sharp.. And they sorted Nino Island ruins out. And cut weapon prices in Legends 2. And you could take it with you wherever you go. It was like a dream come true. (The only downside for me was the quiz.) (Oh god... The quiz. :18:) I'm 100% happy with the decision to go 3DS. Thrilled actually. I don't think they could've made a better decision.

I really don't mind it being on the 3DS... I was expecting of course to be in PlayStation or Xbox. But I really don't mind about this.. There are a lot of games especially for handheld consoles that have a lot of fame. MML3 could get to be one of those.

I was seriously disappointed that I won't be able to play it on a TV. I kinda wished it had been for PS3 to take advantage of it's power (Plus I like the controller, plus I want to use mine for something other than a blu-ray player, haha).
I'm not all that upset that it's going to be for 3DS, just sad that it isn't what I've been expecting/wanting for the last 10 years. If they make some kind of cable to hook it up to a larger display, then you bet I'll be jumping on that as soon as possible.

I own the following: PS2, Wii, PS3, DS, PSP. Sometimes I play games on my laptop too, but it's pretty shitty. What do you expect from a laptop?
Anyways, I'm VERY happy that it's coming out on 3DS. I was planning on getting a 3DS anyways because I love the Paper Mario series and was amazed at the rest of this portable juggernaut's lineup. The graphics look Wii quality, which is the best I've ever seen in my life for a portable, and the launch game lineup is the most impressive of any gaming system in the history of mankind.
The DS and PSP are both fantastic gaming systems. In fact, imo, portable gaming is the future. Portables are cheaper. There are more good games for portables. More people buy portables. Software sales for portables can sometimes reach epic proportions. In Japan, portables have become the new preference for multiplayer. In the rest of the world that may not be the case, but sales go through the roof everywhere regardless. The DS is the top selling primarily gaming console (cell phones and stuff play games and have higher sales, but that isn't their main purpose) this gen. Portables can handle much better games nowadays too. I mean fuck, even the derpy iPhone has games now.
With portables, I can play anywhere, mostly without hassling wires or other stupid crap that gets in my way. Lately I've been playing the PSP while going to the gym at night. Overall, the 3DS is going to kickass and so is Legends 3. I'm so happy it's coming out at all. I've waited 10 goddamn years for this game, always getting disappointed that at E3 or whatever other gaming conferences, it didn't get announced (often despite rumors). I'm psyched.

The reason its coming out on 3DS is probably connected to the reason it took them so long to decide to give MML 3 a shot. Ergo - they don't expect a big profit from the game and will just use it to make a few more people buy 3ds... Capcom wanted more 3DS buyers and Inafune (and us) wanted MML 3...
Still...it's kinda interesting to imagine MML in some advanced graphic, but it would probably look weird and bad...so it might be better to stick with old-cubish graphics. Personally... it's easier to me to buy 3DS then PS3, Xbox... and I dont even exepct MML 3 on PC xD but if i had to pick...I guess it would be PC. Since on PC it has some hopes for fanmade content and mods, beside, I already have a PC xD

Did you ever try playing Legends for the PC? It was one of the scariest things I've ever done. I don't think you can even use a controller for it...

While you can chalk it up to a weak port job, Legends PC was pretty meh. Same with Mega Man 64, but that's another story. I think Legends 3 can work on PC. It could even work very well on PC, but ultimately I don't see the point. PC isn't really the go-to market for action platformers. It's really more preferable for things like strategy games, simulation games or fps: anything that focuses on lotsa clicking. Add in things like rampant piracy and the PC isn't really all that desirable for developers, especially mainstream ones from Japan.

It seems to respond to my gamepad a little bit by default, but otherwise there are programs like joytokey that can have you playing with a regular controller pretty easily. I actually had a pretty good setup with a PSX-Controller-to-USB hookup. Felt just like the Playstation version, except without load times. ^__^ I love my MegaMan Legends PC version. <3

I only read to "compared to the Nintendo 3DS" in the OP, and no, I'm not reading anyone else's posts, I'm here to answer the thread topic:
3DS all the way.
