Did you ever try playing Legends for the PC? It was one of the scariest things I've ever done. I don't think you can even use a controller for it... I actually had a pretty good setup with a PSX-Controller-to-USB hookup. Felt just like the Playstation version, except without load times. ^__^ I love my MegaMan Legends PC version. <3 Having played the PC port of RMD2 with my PS3 controller, I can confirm that it feels very true to the original PS1 version. The only annoying bit is it only recognizes up to 10 buttons, so if you have a controller with almost 20 (like the PS3's), you need to manually edit the config file (which, since it's a binary format, is rather annoying. Plus the game crashes if you ever go back into the controls window with those controls set). That being said, Legends + Mouse-aiming isn't that bad either. My vote goes to the PC, even though a port to any other platform isn't very likely, at least not for Capcom today. Capcom circa 8 years ago, yeah, it'd end up on the PC, guaranteed...

Like Zombie said: the controller works with the PC version of the game. In fact: I just started playing MML 1 again...the day before yesterday However, I gotta agree that playing it on a keyboard is Hell... but I find thats only cause it never was made for PC. for example: all the trouble could be easily solved by simply making the mouse work in the game. It would be even easier to play it then on the PS then...since rotating the mouse is much easier then combining the strafe movement with the came movement using 4 buttons. But yeah, MML is a console game... it would be weird on a PC, so I got no problems with it coming out on 3DS.

3DS all the way.
And not just because of the portability factor. The PSP ports had such tight control and clear resolution, considering the console's drawbacks (clunky build, and joystick without an attachment is hell). I'm positive it'll be much more comfortable on the 3DS considering the DS family's ergonomic design.
Although I am a wee bit worried about the DS' history with failing shoulder buttons...

MML3 should be on the NES. Then people who want the "big screen" experience will be happy, and those who want it portable can emulate it with a PSP or DS flash cart. Clearly this is the best solution. Can we please move on now?

MML3 should be on the NES. I have to disagree with you there. I can see the logic in it, seeing how well Rockman & Forte did on the late SNES, but you're not giving any thought to technical specifications. Naturally MML3 would do better on Virtualboy.
