(Yes, that right there is my official Speech Outfit, and yes, I am actually wearing it now.) September 29, 2010. This day will live on in the hearts of the Legends Fanbase forever--after almost ten solid years of nothing but Capcom teases and promises we'd grown to pass off as empty, Mega Man Legends 3 has finally, FINALLY been announced! Not Rockman DASH 3, either-- Mega Man Legends 3. I'll readily admit I'm no expert in game development matters, but to me that sounds an awful lot like our sequel's going to make it across the pond this time around. When I first hopped onto the Hype Train at the start of our wait, I was thirteen (started with the series at 11, though). I've been riding it ever since (I am now 23, though I've admittedly fallen asleep in the boxcars a couple of times and spent way too much time in the restroom doing my hair). I couldn't ask for a better community of fans to have shared all that time with. It's been a long run, but as I'm sure several of you have mentioned in the last twelve hours, there's finally a light at the end of the tunnel, and no, Mr. Ninja, that light isn't another train. With that in mind, consider the fact that for the first time in the history of the Mega Man Legends Station, we've become a site devoted to an active game series. The atmosphere on these boards will indubitably undergo some drastic changes in dynamic simply because of the fact. I ask that you all demonstrate the maturity you've shown in the past during The Great Hiatus in the future, especially in regards to any new members who hop on board as a result of this revival...let's make these forums truly live up to the main site's reputation! So in light of the recent news--yes, we finally have real news!--I'd like to first thank everyone who's contributed to the forum since its inception. Without the fans' support, this revival wouldn't be possible, and if there's any record of support for the series even during this massive dry spell we just got out of, these boards certainly qualify. I'd like to thank all of our forum mods past and present for keeping with the boards' upkeep all these years, and our webmaster fab for creating Legends Station back in the day, sticking to it even when the going got rough...and, of course, entrusting me with the message boards. And finally, I'd like to thank Keiji Inafune, if he or any of his translators are reading this, for making our dreams come true from the bottom of his heart after all these years. Not only is he making this game happen, but he's making it for himself, his team...and for us. For us and for all of the people who spent hefty chunks of their lives either actively or passively waiting for this game's announcement. Despite whatever plans Inafune and company have in mind for fan input regarding the game's development, most of the major decisions regarding the project are ultimately in their hands. Taking that into consideration, let's do our part to make sure that whatever decisions they've got planned gives our series the credit for which it's so long overdue. So keep your minds open to anything they throw at us in the future, hoist your flags high and sport your Legends colors, because it's our year at long, long last!P.S. If anyone else wants to step up to the podium, you're welcome to it!

Amen, Miss Dashe! I'm really excited to see how these forums will change after these news...
And, that's my speech! Goodnight, folks.

I think I'll step up to say a few relatively brief things.
I'd like to thank the people involved with the upkeep of this website and Forum and I'd like thank the people who are making the actual game. I'm sure Keiji Inafune isn't the only one responsible for this cool announcement but he's the only name we know... so we keep typing it.
The first time I played Legends was when a kid in my apartment building, named Johan, lent the game to me. He was kind of a manipulative delinquent but he allowed me to play his copy of an awesome game so I'll avoid saying bad things about him. Few games captured my attention like Legends did. I would play through it and believe I was done with it but then a few weeks later I'd have to play through it again. Obviously a lot has changed since then(including myself) and I don't expect this game to capture that exact feeling but I have faith that the people working on the game will make a brand new experience. One that hopefully captures some of the magic of the first games while creating new.
This announcement was one of those weird situation where you feel like the world revolves around you. It even happened on the night of my Birthday(also 23 now, but I don't know how old I was when I first played it)
That's kinda all I have to say. I hope the development goes well and I hope we all enjoy the game.

(T...rox...on...?) I've got tears in my eyes. Or at least I would, if I — d'awww hell, there they are now. Great speech, Miss Dashe. That's exactly what I've been waiting to hear. (p.s., I love your hat. It's a good color.) EDIT: Oh, I see we've got an open mic thing going here. Well, here goes. I'll keep it brief. (for your sake, believe me)It's been a long, long road indeed. I've been awaiting Legends 3 since I was about twelve, myself — about eight of the ten years between Legends 2 and now. And, I've been happy to spend about six (maybe getting closer to seven) of those years here on MegaMan Legends Station. As one of the longer standing members, I've seen a lot of people come and go on these here boards — many of whom I really hope to see come back around now that we have our sequel, but time will tell as far as that goes, I suppose. It's been a long, long wait for a sequel, but in spite of all that, somehow this community's been able to remain active and keep the fanbase alive. I doubt I'd have waited this long for Legends 3 if it weren't for you guys — especially the ones who've been around here as long as I have.. You all made this place as awesome as it is. So I'd really just like to say thanks to all of you guys here at MegaMan Legends Station for making the last six years — dare I say it? — phun.

Yep, I figured I'd probably need a last name sooner or later. Rhymes with "Toxin." And Green, thanks for that bit about the hat. Today, despite everything, just wasn't shaping up to be one of those famous good hair days.

Amazing.... All of the little conspiracy theories I've made and waiting we've done have finally paid off.......Oh my God thank you.. Especially the Megaman Legends station, I actually feel like we're a family now, we've held onto Legends forever and we finally get our reward. Now excuse me, I'll go work my ass off and hit my puching bag like never before, In celebration of Legends 3. (Till I collapse) Love you guys(Even though we'll never meet)All of you are amazing.

My bit:
I got on this train late, but when I saw MM64 near the N64's end-year run, I bought it, played 500 hours of my life into it, then got internet, and rough 07/08 joined MMLS, found out about MML2, and now in 2010, I'm happy to say I'm a commoner in the train-based community called "Us".
Megaman in general, has always been "my game", I'll admit MML/L2, MMBN & MMSF are my better games due to not being able to handle to side-scroller style very well, but I'm here to stay, and hey, that means Green's not the only Yuna fan!
Now, who wants a Texas-sized Triple-meat bacon-cheeseburger Aw Heck-style? Order now cause they'll go fast, condiments are on the buffet table, fries are free, but drinks cost!
(I figured I'd have some fun on that last bit. Good speech Dashe, I'm glad to know you guys!)

Where do I begin?
Loyalty. It is a word that brings many things to mind. When I first stumbled onto the Legends Station, I thought 'hey, maybe I'll stick around for a while before I hop to the next place on the net.' Yet, as I spent days here with everyone, debating, speculating, and the occasional heated argument, I felt a sense that this place was something more:
For all my wanderings on the net, this place had something that most others lacked, I never thought it before today. Members trickled in, great, humble, industrious, or folks looking for a good time, we all had come here under a common banner: a love a game that has been a diamond in the rough. As the years passed, each of us contributed what we could to show love for the Megaman Legends games, and prove to the world that we have as much a voice as the rabid Resident Evil and Street Fighter hordes. Despite rumors and disappointments, we stuck through thick and thin. I came to discover that perhaps, more than our devotion the the games themselves, we were devoted to each other.
Ten years means a lot, depending on how you look at it: People grow, the landscape changes, yet even now, I see the same loyalty and bonds we shared in the beginning growing ever stronger by the day. Now, after those ten years have passed, we have done the impossible- we struck a blow against repression and ridicule. As I stand here, I see more than just another random fan group, I see each and every member as something more. I see us as a family.
We have overcome many trials and at last, we have reaped the fruits our labor. Let us look to the future with joy and pride, let us go forth and do what we can to help Kenji Inafune turn his long-awaited dream into something golden. When all is said and done, we may look to those who will come after us and say that we helped to bring about something special. Sit tight where you are, Megaman, we're bringing you home!!
Thank you all at the Legends Station!*bows*

ravenf6: Aww. So very true. *nods in agreement* Bravo, Dashe, bravo! This is a great day for the Legends series indeed. As for the good 'ole Station itself...things will change for sure, but as long as we keep our arms open, our guard up, and our sense of community and friendliness intact, I'm sure we'll be able to handle anything fate has in store for us. Here's to the future! *toast*

I'm not much for speeches, but retrospection is a lovely passtime.
I didn't get a Playstation until sometime in 2000, so for a while MML was just a set of intriguing ads on TV and in comic books. As I was getting into the online MM Community, I was faced with a lot of positive Legends testimonial from places like Mechadrake Assemblies, DASH!, and Zany Video Game Quotes. Such as it was, it was easy to get sucked into the MML fandom even before playing the games! I eventually did play both MML1 and MML2, and back when it still looked obvious and reasonable to expect MML3 within the next year, or the next.
Not sure at what point "obvious and reasonable" shifted to "ridiculously delusional", but I remained optimistic the whole time. I would replay the games every so often and every time it felt like experiencing them for anew. Legends just had that charm to it that made it such a great pull even while the series stagnated officially.
I didn't have much involvement with the MML community (i.e. here) directly for the longest time. Not until a few years ago when I made that bigass name translations project, and then a few months ago after TvC reignited my interest again, but each time I joined the feeling of comraderie was instant. Just as the games have that particular indefinable charm, the fans too stand out with their coolness.
And with a new age of excitement dawning, I'm pretty sure I'll never want to leave. I've really only experienced the franchise from the start of the big wait. I've never been there for the expectations and anticipation of a Legends game in development, or the shared excitement of playing it at its release. I know neither have a lot of us, and even the MML1 fans that were around for the announcement of MML2 probably feel that this is an entirely different feeling all together. It's an exciting new era. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Ha. Lovely words from everyone.
If this were a couple years ago, I probably would have leaped at the opportunity to write a nice essay of my own or something, but not now. I must have mellowed out a bit. Or maybe I’m just not as excitable as I thought I was.
I will say this. It’s been a surprisingly fun “wait”.
…Troxon? o.o

I was, and have been, very skeptical for some time since these rumors started flying. We've been waiting for a long time for this moment, and we slogged through a lot of equivocating and such from Mr. Inafune himself. I was still a little Loath to believe it even now, but I guess since Keiji Inafune has been caught on tape (sort of) saying that the MegaMan Legends 3 Project is real, even I have to admit that it's really happening.
I once said I would buy any system, any time, if MegaMan Legends 3 was on it, and I'm very lucky now in the sense that I was totally going to buy a 3DS anyway. Think of it this way: the first Legends game was the first 3D Mega Man game, and now Legends 3 is going to be the first ever 3D Mega Man game... again. It's a beautiful circle that's come around.
I'd like to thank all of the little people who made this possible, all forty of them, and their tomboyish creator, plus good old Barrel Caskett, who made sure to give his adopted grandson an absurd first name. Plus, thanks to the Master for the crazy, messed-up world we all like to live in. You know I'm gonna be at the head of the line on release day. I'll get the first copy, or my name isn't Bonne!

*RECOVERS FROM THE FANGIRL EXPLOSION THAT TOOK HER LIKE AN HOUR*
We finally made it...10 years...and now we are here...
Back in 2000(I was 12),when I first had the chance to play the 1st game,it was the 64 version from a friend...having known Megaman as a platform game all my life, playing Megaman Legends was a "Interesting" experience for me.I was a bit skeptical,But I was determined to give this game a chance...I'm so glad I did...I bought the PSX version almost right away and after finishing it left me wanting more. You could imagine how happy I was when I found out Megaman Legends 2...after that I was happily waiting the 3rd game...LMAO you know the rest...
The next Megaman series, even though they were interesting overall, never filled my expectations. And begin to think that something was missing.
Now I'm 22 and I'm here with you enjoying the news...I wish I have joined earlier, yeah,I've joined two years ago and I haven't been much involved either, but still xD I want to thank you for receiving me here...to Miss Dashe and the rest of the guys who help run this site,to the members and of course,to Mr Inafune and his team, for making this dream come true. You've got my support.
I'm still in shock to be honest, and right now I can't find appropriate words to address my excitement and put it into proper words. In fact,I apologize if I made mistakes(is late and sleepy),so there's nothing left to say for me except to get ready and have fun (and since aarond got dibs on the 1st copy then I'll be right behind you to get the 2nd)
Go Legends Station!! *yell*
