what kind of tablet did you get? An Adesso CyberPad, I believe.... Anyhow, tonight's works are two sides of the coin: something old, and something new. *EDIT*: you can enlarge the images by double-clicking them. That should take care of the small sizes, methinks... First, the old.... i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Picture-1.jpgThis winged fellow goes by the name of Alvisandro, a character I designed a long time ago... for the most part, his is the wiseman/ guardian sort of role. Being an immortal means you'd have to find ways to pass the time, so I thought he enjoyed a bit of religion and spiritual pursuit, hence the bishop attire. Currently, I'm using him at a length in my KH fanfic, setting up the intro for Solrac's story.... and from there?... I haven't gotten there, yet.. Not pleased with the hat, but I was pleased with the initial design. Now for the new: In my quest to wrestle the nefarious Artist's block, I tried doing something with movement, hence this bit of work: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Warmupsession.jpgThis time around, we see Scythe at the gym, skipping rope. I went into this one, pretty much blind.... No mannequin reference here, so It was a slow process trying to visualize the movement one usually thinks of when SR. Thinking of how Scythe would approach this kind of thing, it's almost second nature, given that I wanted him to be a bit athletic as a fighter. For the most part, Hajime no Ippo came to mind for this little scene.. The expression's an unusual one for me- at first glance, he's doing the workout with almost no second thought, but I altered it a bit as if he's reacting to seeing a friend coming in and is about to go meet him/her.. . As for the headphones, when it comes to working out, most people usually accompany this with music. "Owari-Hajimari" from The World Ends With You entered my head right away, so I gave him the headphones. I also kept most of the lines in for a rough-sketch effect, and as for the colors, I thought of our good ol' blue boy, Megaman, so I colored Scythe's gym attire as a minor tribute.... though I'm now considering doing follow ups for this with the blue boy himself, as well... For the moment, I'm digging out some old works, and I'm also trying hard to get to work on an old request. Plus, having picked up Brave Fencer Musashi, last night, I plan to do something with in that area- I've already got some rough stuff for that going on. Needless to say, I'll be a bit occupied with that and wrapping up my Christmas presents, so it might be some time before my next update. As usual, if you'd like to comment on my work, or have any questions, feel free to ask. Later!

I can see a lot of the artists here doing a lot of Christmas-themed works at the moment. Regretfully, I have nothing to offer that can go along with the trend at this moment... I ended up doing this one without a thought... but it was something I wanted to do for a long time: Just when you thought it was safe to eat at KFC... :oIT'S EL POLLO DIABLO!!!! i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/ElPolloDiabloWIP.jpg From The Curse of Monkey Island, I tried my hand at capturing the infamous devil chicken from Puerto Pollo.... I had a lot of fun teasing Blondebeard with fake taunts, and running around the town tarred-and-feathered, just to see how everyone would react... Good times, those were.. Most of the lineart's already done, I just need to add detail to the feet and darken the lines for a more solid feeling.. I want this creature to look ferocious. I'm planning to color this, as well, any thoughts on it? I doubt this will be much of an offering compared to everyone else's stuff, but I hope you guys like it...

Looks like something straight out of Scooby Doo, art style and everything. Now that you mention it, it wouldn't surprise me if the guys at LucasArts took SD as inspiration for El Pollo Diablo at the time. Once again, time has passed, and once again, I update this thread..... Tonight's additions are both old and new, so let's to brass tacks: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/downtimedoodle.jpgThis doodle was a relic from the time I first moved to Georgia- I had created most of my principle characters and put them into ramshackle story I started in high school. Obviously the mood here is relaxing so we see a few unusual things- Juno asleep, Scythe taking up painting, and Edgar's being a little bashful.. Part of that is that at the time, I picked up the PS1 game, Grandia, and at the time, tried my hand at drawing the ancient, Liete. I drew her once or twice before putting her here, crude as it was. I used to do a few other group works like this, so I might dig those out, sometime.. Next up is one slightly older than that, an old drawing of Captain Adelbert Steiner: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/CaptStiener.jpg One of the last games I picked up in the PS1 era was Final Fantasy IX, a favorite of mine, even to this day. I remember drawing this while spending a little time with my brother, he shaded in a little bit of it over the eyes. I only drew this in the manner I did X's Falcon Armor. What does irk me a little is that Steiner's right arm comes off longer than his left- this was due to the fact that the elbow segment was uncovered by armor. That nitpick aside, I liked this work. Offhand, his expression reminds me heavily of Inspector Zenigata- it wouldn't surprise me if the captain was based off Lupin's inept nemesis. The last one is actually new and legends related, though it is at best, a scrap- i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/TieselBonnescraps.jpgYes, it is indeed Tiesel Bonne, mighty pirate. I did this originally as a quickie, but I was soon hit with the block- trying to draw Tiesel was tough, and putting him in traditional pirate attire was no picnic- hence, the mess ups. This decision, however was in part to my interest the Monkey Island games. I was thinking of putting in some dialog, but felt Tiesel's expression spoke for it self- who, besides Guybrush Threepwood, would find a use for a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle? Off the record this work also serves as practice- Tiesel's part of a request I have yet to complete, so I tried my hand at a few of his trademark reactions.... Tiesel's got an unusual face so hopefully, it's not too bad. I like drawing Tiesel: he's just as fun to doodle as he is to blow up. ;D As far as new works go, there's a work I was doing for a late Christmas project, that aside, I'm planning to take up Skies of Arcadia again, so I might try something from that, and coloring El Pollo Diablo. It's not much for an offering, but I hope you guys like it. 'Til next time...

Hello again. It's a triple header tonight, two of which are Legends related, so let's get to business, shall we? First up was a reaverbot design I did out of boredom... i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/gadflyreaverbotdesign.jpg I pretty much cobbled this together, it started out like a serpent, but then I went left field with the spindly neck, the shears for a head crest, and the drill beak. I wanted to do something different for the wings, so I tried incorporating gadfly wings of sorts. Looking at the results, it would look like an early (if not bizarre) experiment Lachesis cooked up. The idea of her tinkering with these things and regarding them like pets has a fractured charm to it, so I might do something like that in future additions... Next up, following up my works with Tiesel, I decided to take a crack at Roll. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/RollCaskettbase.jpg Like with Tiesel, this one's another bout of practice for a project. Compared with Tiesel, Roll was surprisingly easy, but for me, trying to draw females is a tricky business. I've drew in a few other details such as few more expressions, her basic headshape+hat, and more detailed sections of of Roll's costume. For this being the second female I've done, I like how it all came together. I like how the legs came out, especially. Some feedback would be nice: I plan to draw Tron, next. For tonight's last addition, this spark for this one came up from December. On my birthday, Musashi gave me a lovely spin on my OC, Edgar. So I decided to return to favor a little early. This one is a base, but I plan to draw the brave fencer of his namesake. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Musashipw.jpg I treated this one much like Roll and Tiesel, albeit more like it was a 'production art'. Trying to adapt Musashi's design was a formidable task in itself. I drew three different views from the side and towards the front. The back view was drawn purposely light so that I could include rough details for his hairstyle, and where the sheathes for his two swords (pictured above) would look when strapped to him.Lumina turned out great, but I'm new at drawing katanas, so Fusion needs a work.. Despite how tough this design was to approach, I had a lot of fun on this one. And Musashi, if you're looking at this, I hope you like it- I want to use it as the blueprint for something special. I done one or two works with his 'Samurai Legend' version. I might dig those out, sometime.. Well, that does it for me, tonight. I might be breaking out of this block, so hopefully I'll start work on Tron and maybe a servbot soon.

That's awesome! The only real problem I can see is his right(my right; not his right) arm is a little ... disconnected, but maybe that's just the scanner's fault. I can't wait to see what you have in store for 'im.

For tonight, I've got three works to put up: one oldie, a weird one, and another go of one of the Bonnes. So let's begin, shall we? First, the oldie:I did a lot of one-shot ideas when I was in high school. One of which Edgar, Scythe, and Unaki end up going to many places on a journey. This was one of my favorite ones- i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Relic-AtlasTower.jpgThis one has a small Mario Bros. 3 root- the obvious refrence of the Spiral Tower that led to Sky Land. This place looks more like a minor skyscraper/castle hybrid than a tower. Looking back on how I drew these three now, they look loosley chibi-ish (minus the big heads) in this one. Still, it was something different, and something I really enjoyed for its time. Next up is the wierd one- couldn't find a name for this one: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/292010.jpgIf memory serves correctly, I started with just the eye, but I couldn't figure out what to do with it afterwards, it wasn't 'til last week that I drew in everything, off hand, it feels like a mass of machinery meshed together to create some sort of being, other than that, I don't know what possessed me to draw it. Not knowing what else to do, I just put in the date I made the additions. For tonight's last piece, it's another Legends base : Today's chosen, Tron Bonne! i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/TronBonnebase.jpg After drawing Tiesel, it was a matter of time before I started on the little sister. Compared with Roll, this was a bit of a curve ball- Tron is more of the traditional adolescent female than Roll is, and her clothes convey that a bit- which made this an old "I got my work cut out for me" moment. Nevertheless, I pressed on, firing up MoTB to help in that. I drew Tron on the left side without reference, if the legs look a bit freakish, I apologize on bended knees.... This prompted me to flip through my references and start again,(on the right hand side) but by the time I finished, I had a better grasp on female anatomy. I included a few of Tron's expressions, plus a few notes for me to remember for later. All in all, Tron was a joy to work with, I learned a lot with her- for one thing, her hair was surprisingly easy, and her face says a lot without a need for excess baggage. With Tron done, I'm about ready to start the blueprints for a certain request. If you have any comments, feedback, etc., feel free to say what you want. I hope you guys like what you see. Until next time...

Once again, my desires for input go unanswered. How disappointing..... Only one thing left to do, put up something once more. This one hit me last night. An OC digger, think I'll name him Loki. And here he is checking some ruins. I might turn this into a fanfic, someday. I'll put up another one with Loki's specs up another time- I'm tinkering with a few things with him. I've got a request underway, it's about 25% finished so that'll do for now. **EDIT** The primary line art is complete, where I proceed from this will depend on whether changes will be necessary. At this point... I'd say about 75% complete. Attachments:

I may have to use Loki in my fanfic with Lachesis if that's cool with you. Like the ruined area too. Is that a Met hat I spot?

I really love the unique spin you put on Tron. Her design in your picture is colourful and full of personality! You also made really great use of perspective in the first image! And the new character is very unique, distinct from any digger I've ever seen. I love how many things are happening in the background, that makes the whole image more exciting. Your skills and style are amazing! Great job, it must have been hard!

Your skills and style are amazing! Great job, it must have been hard! Not really. I wanted to do something different, so I made the ruins a bit mangled- most of the ruins we've seen are surprisingly well kept, so I threw that logic out the window and made this with a touch-and-go approach. I actually created Loki a while before this actual piece- he started off a bit more generic and plain, but I added a slight cool factor, but not so much he stands out like a sore thumb: Personality plays a role as well- he's a diggger who likes a bit of danger, but that's not to say he dosen't appreciate things when they're calm. I might write that story after all. Which brings me to tonight's addition, I started work on this one a while after, a splash page for the story itself: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Splash-EyeoftheGods.jpg I did this in the vein of the old blockbuster movie posters from the 40's. I wasn't taking this one too seriously as I worked on it, but I loved the results.

I'm baaack! Yeah, it's been a good month since I've put up anything, but here I am. I was going to wait a little longer, but since I'm on vacation at this moment, I had some time to put up some things. A small offering, but a little something to show I'm still alive. First off, I'm bringing back the ol' creature feature of the past. From the ranks of the Ghouls n Ghost roster of demonic ne'er do wells, it's the Shielder: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Shielder.jpg This guy was one of my favorites. For the most part, he starts off as a statue, but once you approach, he comes to life, taking his head off his neck, and proceeds to charge at you, spewing flames in the process. I'm not pleased with the feet, but I believe I captured the overall design of this monster. I'm starting to like drawing demons, so if I feel like it, I'll do a few more monsters in due time. Next up is another OC. This time around, we see a shopkeeper by the name of Issac: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/ShopkeeperOC.jpg My first attempt at a design of this kind, so it's still a work in progress. To tell you the truth I was going for something like Auto in the classic MM series, but it turned into this burly fellow. I put in a few expressions on the side to experiment. With this work, I realized how rigid I've been these past months... The last addition is something a little old. The original design drafts I made for Loki: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/LokiOCoriginaldraft.jpgWhile I was working on Tron a few months ago, I got back into Megaman Powered Up. I really enjoyed playing as Ice Man, so he had a lot of influence on the design process, come to think of it, Dantz had a minor influence as well! Originally, Loki was going to wear a heavy coat, and have goggles as well as a modifed hardhat, but in the end things weren't working out the way I wanted, I might try those again later. I do have one minor bonus for tonight. This one's old, I oringally put this up in March in the B-day thread: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/HappyB-dayDragge.jpg Last year, Dragge had asked a series of requests which I gradually put up here. This birthday request was the last of them, not to mention the hardest. He wanted his OC Dragge in this one, as well as Trigger, Roll, and Tron. I wasn't used to drawing group pics, let alone, something like this. But as the year went by and the requests went up, I slowly developed skill and conficence, and proposed to spice it up with the addition of Data and a few servbots. When I finished this work, I asked Dragge if he wanted it posted here or in the B-day thread. He told me to do both whenever I got the chance. So for those of you who haven't seen it, here it is. For those of you who've seen it already, here it is again. For me, this was a high point, and a low one. For after doing something like this, I find myself mulling over ways to match and/or supass it. I do have a few other WIP I'm currently working on. If I'm able to finish those, I'll put them up as I am able. Hope you guys enjoyed the works.

I've got some good news and bad news. First, the bad news: my laptop got infected by a worm before I went on vacation, which resulted in it doing some really strange things. While I was able to purge the worm, I've got another problem: Now I get a Blue Screen of death (NIM Parity Check, Memory Parity Error). The good news, however, is that I'm tinkering with my lt, so now I'm working out what I can do without triggering the BSOD. What this means is that I might have to take it easy on updates until I can find a way to fix it. So, for the time being, I'll have to do uploads one pic at a time, which leads to tonight's pic. I drew up a few things on my trip, armed with stencils and a very good eraser. I did another reaverbot design. I wanted something unusual, so I based the original concept off a top, and designed the rest of the body as you see here. Towards the end, I decided to apply details that created the illusion of seeing a face. Since my German is severely lacking, I decided to nickname this reaverbot, "freaky face" I don't know how long it'll take before I can fix the BSOD, but I've got other drawings in the work. Comments are welcome, if you have them. Hopefully I'll get that fixed in the near future.. .. Attachments:

Here's a first- I post something up during the afternoon. Another note in regards to my BSOD issue, there's still a few bugs to work out, but for the most part, I can still connect to the net.... Moving on, I've got a small change of pace- I've got two scenes to display for today, so let's get to it, shall we? i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/ruinswork-throneroom.jpg First up, I take a stab at doodling some ruins- more specifically part of the quarters of a bureaucratic model might use- I was thinking Lachesis would conduct a bit of her research and/or business in this room. I put the mural on the left as an afterthought.. but for all intent purposes, I'm doing this to jump start a few other ideas.. Next up is something a little more simple: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/castleatnightscenary.jpg I drew this on my trip with one thing in mind- not to add too much. The main building and tower rose slowly before I decided to add the walls and archway. For the most part, I can safely say I accomplished my objective. This work was a wonderful opportunity to practice with straightedges and a new eraser I picked up before the trip- this one worked to the effect you can actually erase mess ups to the point you didn't make them: This is a big help since I'm tend to make mistakes in the beginning. I darkened this work on account that the lineart was fairly light and I didn't want to mess it up, and since it's supposed to be night time, the effects help a bit. I don't know what's on tab for next time, but I do feel like getting back to basics. I would say something about comments, but I feel like if I did, no one would take me up on them.... Oh well..... By next time, I hope I can make more progress with my AW and take care of the BSOD issue, hope you guys enjoy what you see.
