This isn't a poll, obviously, but what show do you think is the ultimate incarnation of televised evil? In my opinion, it's Barney.

Oh, most definitely Spongebob Squarepants. That annoying laugh gives me nightmares.

I like SpongeBob Squarepants, but I think that they went too far with the movie.

Personally, I don't think Barney's really doing the kids any harm, so long as they don't keep watching it while they're like... older. And Spongebob... well I'll agree with you on that. AaaaaaH-Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! (yeah my Spongebob laugh is really bad cuz I never really see the show) Well there're a lotta cartoonish shows nowadays that portray things in a very stereotypical way, promoting very foolish and stupid ideas, influencing young minds across the country, and maybe, but hopefully not, the world! I could name a few if I really wanted to, but that would require me to look up what's on 4KidsTV or then any cable channel that I don't have, and that would just be painful. I will say this though, Shaman King has gotten me po'ed to no end, since my brother started talking like that annoying little kid with the accent... but it's an okay show I guess. I'd say the evilest anime thing, and certain people will yell at me for this, but I'd say it's DBZ. Stupid show. Again, I have no cable so my experiences with it are few, but I watched a TWELVE EPISODE MARATHON, and I think by the time it was over, it was still the same DAY plot wise. It's so soap opera-ish. And by like episode 4 I was really into it. You can't imagine how disappointed I was when it was over. Then I went through a DBZ phase and eventually gave up on it because it was so stupidly redundant. "I'm going to get in a big fight with you, but first we have to talk a lot so it seems like a lot more's going on than there really is!" XD ...maybe not evil per se, but it'll draw ya in and then drop ya on yer ass, so yeah. I'd also like to say a thing or two about the Pokemon anime, but there're a few Pokemon fans here, so I'll go easy on it. The first episodes, while they were kinda cheesy in my opinion, rawked hard core compared to this new stuff. I mean, it's all just been done before at this point. But they continue making it, since it sells, just like the EXE anime, with which I'd like to hit the same note. They were both great, until they entered the formulaic episodes and each episode became a showcase for a new pokemon/navi related thing wrapped in the same recycled plot. Hell, they were even GOOD for a while AFTER that, but then later it just got redundant. And Cross Fusion destroyed the entire concept of the .EXE[/u] series. ...again not evil, but foolish. Anyways, this is just animated shows though, what I'd really like to hit with the full fource of all my hatred is whatever the hell is making people these days so fricking STUPID. Unfortunately I don't have cable so I can't research this in any way, but I'm sure that whatever it is, it's THERE on the TV. Along with a lotta music too, but don't even get me started on that. Whatever the media's got on TV that's making everyone act stupid, kinda on the same note as those stereotypical animes, should be brutally murdered and then we should march around the world with its head on a stick. ...wow that was harsh. But yeah, I'm not really sure what it is I hate when it comes to TV, that I think is pure evil and just plain wrong, but yeah... I know it's there. So yeah, I'd say what I hate is cable television!!! Oh oh oh!! There's that Desperate Housewives show(which by the way sounds like a title for a cheesy porno flick) that I hate. I dunno why, really since I've only seen a couple episodes, but the women on that show REALLY make me mad. And EVERYONE is like obsessed with it. I've watched it a few times myself and I really just can not see what anyone sees in it. Yet everyone's obsessed with it and for a while after it aired first NO ONE would shut up about it. My gawd! So yeah, that's evil. maybe not, but I don't like it and I refuse to say it's anything less that evil!!! I think I'm gunna finish this up now, since I could get into detail about a bunch of shows now that I think about it and then I'd probably end up defenfing a bunch in advance, but I'll spread it out a little more later if anyone bash's a good show.

Well, when you're a little kid you like it, but when you're older you see its true colors. That show is attempting to recruit 4-6 year-olds in an attempt to have the world ruled by kids showing nothing but kiddie shows! It will be an attack of the killer midgets! (no offense to anyone on this board who may be one)

I think the Winx Club is pretty evil. It's not like Sailor Moon, which had intresting characters and stories that really had that girl power feel. But the Winx Club is like stupid pop stuff that you just know some rich white guy with a suit is making tons and tons of money off of it. Is there anything wrong with making money off a show? No. But when the show is made with a missle aimed at specific audience JUST to make money, it has no artistic value and it become really annoying.
And I always liked Dragon Ball Z because it was long. They never rushed anything so I never had that sense of "Damn if only I had a few more episodes". But whatever, that obviously falls into the realm of opinions.

Yes, I too believe Winx Club is evil. But not to the degree that Barney is!

I like Shaman King but I have to agree that Len's accent bugs me...I thought he's supposed to be Chinese not British 0_o;
I think nickelodeon makes some of the evilest shows. I remember when they had the early episodes of Rugrats, and I thought they were cool(I was only like 5 after all). But now they have this show called "All Grown Up" and honestly if you watch it you will know why I hate it...they try to make the kids act all "gangster-hip-hop" like, and it's really weird. I also hate how they made SpongeBob SO stupid. I can say once in a while they have a funny episode, but it's mostly a bunch of nothing put together to get the kids to watch it.
OH WAIT! I remember the evilest show ever. Max and Ruby. It is a show on a station called Tree House. It's for little kids. But this show..is evil....pure evil!! I'll describe the episode I think is the most evil....
Ruby(the older sister) wants to buy her little brother Max some new overalls. She only has 5 dollars. But Max doesn't want new overalls, even thought the ones he has now are old and dirty. He sees a dragon shirt he doesn't need and wants that instead. So when Ruby goes off to try on a dress for herself she asks Max to wait outside. Instead he puts on the dragon shirt, goes and gets a free sample of ice cream, and he ends up spilling it on the dragon shirt. Ruby has to pay 5 dollars for the dragon shirt and she doesn't have enough money to buy him the new overalls. -_-;;
Can anyone tell me what the point of that was? Basically EVERY episode has Max disobeying Ruby and Max ends up getting what he wants....ugh...

Yes All Grown Up is really stupid. Rugrats was a really smart show. They showed every day things happen through the creative eyes of babies. Like the episode they thought there was a monster under the bed. It turned out to be a sweater but when they looked at it in the dark they saw a monster and you could totally see and understand the mistake they did. It was a well done show that was great for kids and adults didn't have to rip their hair out if thay had to watch it. But All Grown Up is just: "Lets go to da cool concert. Awesome, Dude!!!. Killer!!!"
So yeah I hate it.

The thing about All Grown Up that REALLY annoys me is Dil's obsession with aliens. For some reason that just makes me want to...AAAUUURRRRGH!!! To me, the alien concept is just overused and cliched and...and...AAAUUURRRRGH!!! I hate it! It should die!!!
There, now that that's out of my system...I remember watching the dragon shirt episode of Max and Ruby on Nick Jr. It really disappointed me, because I actually own the "Max's Dragon Shirt" book (ok, my brother does, but I read it anyway), and it was actually pretty funny. Come on, what kid HASN'T gotten lost at the mall? But, the TV show just made it seem stupid!
TV shows these days are the reason I don't watch TV at all anymore.

... I think you might want to run. A few people here really like it. Or maybe you should clarify that the dub is the ultimate evil.

I gotta know: why does everyone hate Barney so much? I mean, is it just because it's a kids show? Hatred of Barney and other kiddey shows is a terrible, terrible cliche'.
I'd say that NT Warrior (which apparently was never good to begin with) is the worst. It was a terrible representation of MMBN games. KingMan and BowlMan were butchered by terrible plots, and in my personal opinion, Megaman and Roll's voices were terrible choices (way too adolescent sounding). Each episode is just another wait to see if Megaman can switch places with Lan in the real world (which is a terrible plot to begin with), and many of the name changes were terrible. Er, let me name them all:
-Torchman -Spoutman -HeavyMetalMan -Wackoman -SavageMan -Er... can't remember BombMan's
Anyways, I certainly don't fault it the most for that last part. I think the Kingman and Bowlman episodes are what convinced me.

Blasterman. And that's only the navi name changes. Some of the people name changes were for practical reasons though.
In my opinion, Rockman EXE went downhill once Axess started, anyway. The dub has nothing to do with uber retarded Cross Fusion. It's like that already. in Axess it wasn't so bad, but from what I hear, it takes an even more excessively excessive role in Stream, so I've pretty much stopped watching the show as a whole. The first two seasons were pretty good, and I don't exactly like what the dub did to them, but in retrospect it's not that terrible.

Yeah, I acknowledge that the dub isn't what made the show bad. My thinking is just that the games are way too good for the horrible representation they're getting. It's not that bad in comparision to some other shows, it's just the fact that it represents the game series so poorly that messes it up. I mean, Bowlman was a cool wondering warrior type guy in the game, and in his episode, they completely messed up his head shape from the sprite and made him this irritating punk who's just looking for trouble and finds that the most successful way to cause it is to bowl down cyber structures with the help of Darkloids, which was pretty terrible considering Bowlman was never even involved in criminal organization.
